The Fútbol Cine Festival is a community gathering point created in February 2022 in the Antofagasta Region. Its mission is to promote unity between two of the most enriching activities for humankind:

SPORTS and CULTURE.

COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS "FESTIVAL DE FÚTBOL CINE 2026"

Santiago, Chile. 2026

Invitation:

The Fundación Inversión Cultural, hereinafter indistinctly referred to as the "FOUNDATION", FESTIVAL FÚTBOL CINE invites to a CLOSED Short Film Competition on the sport of Football, 2026 version, named FESTIVAL DE FÚTBOL CINE 2026, hereinafter indistinctly referred to as the "COMPETITION", in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth below.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ONE) REGARDING APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION:

A) All Chilean men and women, as well as foreign residents in Chile, may apply to participate and register for the COMPETITION in all its categories. In the northern school category, only students from educational establishments in the Antofagasta Region may participate.

B) Applications will be submitted through the Festhome platform by sending the audiovisual material via a VIMEO link.


D) A group of people, 2 or more authors, may apply for the same project; however, as indicated below, for the purpose of awarding prizes, only a single prize will be considered in each of the categories.

E) The application period will be between September 30, 2026, and November 25, 2026.

F) Application and registration for the COMPETITION will be completely free from the Festhome platform if registration is completed with a link to VIMEO.

TWO) REGARDING THE SHORT FILM. SUBSTANTIVE AND TECHNICAL ASPECTS.

A) Main theme of the short film: Basic requirement to have Football as part of the narrative, the script, the story. Either as a central and main element or as a secondary element that accompanies the narrative being an important part of the story told. The work may be fiction, documentary, or animation.

B) Short films may be recorded with any device: mobile phone camera, digital photo camera, action camera, tablet, camcorder, etc. They may then, if deemed appropriate, be edited using external tools.

C) Short films must be original or unreleased, and may not have participated or won awards in other similar competitions.

D) Each short film submitted to the competition must have a title.

E) The submitting short film in the "school", "General", and "University" categories may have a duration of between 1 and 10 minutes, including credits. In the social media (RRSS) short film category, the duration may be between 1 and 3 minutes.

G) Each contestant may compete with as many short films as they deem appropriate, in any of the existing categories.

H) The Festival Fútbol Cine will make available an audiovisual teacher to interested parties who will supervise the students' work.

THREE) REGARDING EVALUATION AND THE JURY.

A) The evaluation of the short films received will be carried out by a Jury who will resolve in a fully autonomous and independent manner, as sole instance and without further appeal; that is to say, the Jury's decision shall be final and binding.

B) The Jury will be composed of the following people:

C) The FOUNDATION reserves the right to replace or not replace one or more of the jury members identified above for any reason or impediment throughout the duration of the COMPETITION.

D) The winners of the COMPETITION will be contacted by the festival organization.

E) At any time during the term of the COMPETITION, the Jury, without expressing cause, may declare the elimination of any of the short films received within the deadline.

FOUR) REGARDING CATEGORIES, prizes, AND THE AWARD CEREMONY.

The COMPETITION will have 4 categories:

Special School Student Category for students of schools in the 2nd Region of Antofagasta (Tocopilla, Mejillones, Antofagasta, Taltal).

Social Media Short Film Category (RRSS, such as TikTok, Instagram Reel, or other similar format), a specific category in the format of these social networks, with a duration of 1 minute to 3 minutes, also for students of said schools or the general public.

General Category. Open to the general public and amplified through the page and social media of the Festival Fútbol Cine.

University Category. Open to university students from all over Chile and amplified through the page and social media of the Festival.

C) The award ceremony will take place on a date, location, and time to be defined.

FIVE) GENERAL PROVISIONS

A) Participation in the COMPETITION necessarily implies full knowledge and acceptance of these rules.

B) The FOUNDATION, THE FESTIVAL FÚTBOL CINE will have the indefinite right to exhibit and disseminate the short films received, whether on open or closed platforms, free or paid, on television channels, YouTube channels, and other similar media, on social networks, other communication media, web portals, public broadcast screens or platforms, other public or private spaces, and public transportation broadcasts. Always indicating that it corresponds to the context of the Festival de Fútbol Cine, mentioning the name of the filmmaker. Both the Corporation and [the Festival] will have the right to exhibit this material partially or completely from the moment this 2026 competition closes and indefinitely over time. By the mere fact of participating in this COMPETITION, the author fully accepts these conditions mentioned in this point regarding the authorization to FINC, FESTIVAL FÚTBOL CINE to exhibit and disseminate the short films.

C) Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding letter, the copyright of each short film will be the property of the Contestant, who may commercialize it, provided they inform that it corresponds to work carried out within the framework of a COMPETITION organized by the Festival Fútbol Cine.

Consequently, neither FINC nor the Festival Fútbol Cine may commercialize these short films, nor will they receive any subsequent payment from the CONTESTANT for eventual sales.
