The Brain Damage Association for Adults and Minors calls for the Third Edition of the International Film Festival for Diversity “ADACAM” in order to continue making the invisible visible and be able to move towards a more inclusive society, focusing on young people but also on filmmakers. professionals, students and people with social concerns.

RULES FOR THE PRESENTATION OF SHORT FILMS IN THE COMPETITION
III INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FOR DIVERSITY “ADACAM”
From April 7 to 13, 2025
1. CALL
The Brain Damage Adults and Minors Association announces, within the Third Edition of the International Film Festival for Diversity “ADACAM”, the international awards for Best Fiction Short Film, Best Professional Fiction Short Film, Best Low-Budget Fiction Short Film, Best Film School Short Film, Best Primary Education Short Film, Best Secondary Education Short Film.
2. REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
a) Audiovisual productions in short film format may be submitted to the competition. Pre-edits and advertising montages, partial montages from feature films, television episodes, including series pilots or montages from these are expressly excluded from this call.
b) Short films of fiction, documentary or animation genre will be admitted to the competition.
c) The works presented must be produced after January 1, 2023.
d) The short films in competition may not exceed 20 minutes in length, including the credits.
e) More than one short film per author or authors may be submitted, not being unpublished and may have been awarded in other competitions. Each short film submitted to the competition must be sent independently and with its own registration request.
f) The short films in competition will develop a theme of social content, in a clear commitment to encouraging inclusion, diversity and values.
g) The short films entered in the Festival must be presented in their original version with subtitles in Spanish in all cases.
h) Those works that do not technically guarantee a correct projection will be rejected.
i) The works must be submitted to the competition in HD format (resolution 1920 x 1080), in a .mov file, compressed in HD64, or in HD64 mp4 format, both in 16:9 format, preferably at 25 frames per second or, in its default, at 24 frames per minute.
3. REGISTRATION FORM
a) Registration must be made between 00:00 on September 23, 2024 and 00:00 on March 12, 2025 through the festival management platform Festhome.
b) The registration fee is free.
c) The Festival management reserves the right to admit short films submitted after the deadline.
d) In the registration of the short on the corresponding platform, it must be attached
necessarily, the following information:
• Synopsis of the short film (maximum 300 characters, including spaces).
• Technical sheet of the film.
• Photograph of the short film poster in digital format (300 dpi, with a minimum height of 15 cm, in .jpg format).
4. SHORT FILM SELECTION PROCESS.
Once the deadline for receiving entries has ended, the works will be viewed by the Festival Organization Committee to preselect the works for competition. The decisions adopted by this Committee will be made public as of March 24, 2025 through the website and the main social networks.
The Festival Organization will appoint the members of the Jury from among recognized specialists in the cinematographic and cultural environment. The Jury's decisions regarding the finalists for each award category will be communicated personally to those interested and will be published on the website and social networks.
The decisions of both the Festival Organizing Committee and the members of the jury will be final.
The Festival Organizing Committee will resolve at its discretion any eventuality not specified in these rules.
5. prizes

• Best Short Film for Special Education and Occupational Centers, worth 500 euros and an award.
• Best Short Film for Primary Education, worth 500 euros and an award.
• Best Secondary Education Short Film, worth 500 euros and an award.
• Best Short Film from Film School including universities, awarded with 500 euros and
award.
• Best Documentary Short Film, worth 500 euros and an award.
• Public, endowed with 300 euros and an award.
Cash prizes will be subject to tax withholdings and current legal provisions that apply to them. The winners, in their own name or in the representation with which they act, must provide the documentation required for accounting purposes.
The winners for the reception of the awards must, inexcusably, attend the Festival's awards Ceremony, except due to duly accredited force majeure.
The awarded people acquire the commitment to incorporate, at the beginning of the
short film, an express mention of the award obtained at the ADACAM International Film Festival for Diversity. The corporate image of this mention will be provided, in digital format, by the Organizing Committee.
6. USE OF THE WORKS
ADACAM reserves the right to reproduce all of the works selected or awarded in the Third Edition of the ADACAM International Film Festival for Diversity, or fragments of these, citing the author or authors.
ADACAM will be able to use the selected short films for two years from the end of the edition in which the short was selected for events linked to the festival such as closed screenings in educational centers.
Participants authorize ADACAM to use frames, photographs and extracts from the films, up to a maximum of three minutes, for dissemination on any advertising medium, including television and the Internet, in order to promote and disseminate this Festival.
Likewise, the natural persons participating in the Gala and events organized by the Festival.
The selected and awarded works will become part of the film library of the International Film Festival for Diversity.
7. ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS.
Participation in the Third Edition of the ADACAM International Film Festival for Diversity implies acceptance of all sections of these rules, as well as the resolution by the organization of any problem not included in these.
These bases may be subject to modification due to circumstances beyond the control of the
organization, which will be communicated to interested parties in advance.
