- National and International Short Film Screening: Maximum duration: 30 minutes.

- National and International Feature Film Screening: Minimum duration: 31 minutes.

- Environmental Cinema: a space dedicated to environmental education and scientific outreach.

Selected participants will receive a Certificate of Recognition confirming the selection of their work to be part of the 2027 edition of the Villa Elisa International Film Festival.

Terms and Conditions: 3rd Edition of the Villa Elisa International Film Festival – FICVE

The Villa Elisa International Film Festival (FICVE) is seeking works that explore and reflect on themes and aesthetics related to borders in a broad sense, the (un)bounding of margins, and various approaches to territory. Works of any format and genre addressing these topics are welcome to participate.


1. SECTIONS

National and International Short Film Showcase: Maximum duration of 15 minutes.

National and International Feature Film Showcase: Minimum duration of 31 minutes.

Eco Cinema (Cine ambiente): A space focused on environmental education.

Special Activities ("El Globo Rojo" Workshop): A space tailored for children, organized in collaboration with the Extension Workshop of the Faculty of Arts at the National University of La Plata (UNLP).


2. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

A. General Requirements

Eligibility: Open to individuals over 18 years of age of any nationality.

Duration:

Short Films: Up to 15 minutes.

Feature Films: 31 minutes or longer, with no maximum limit.

Genres & Formats: Works of any narrative or non-narrative genre, documentary, or fiction, originally produced in any format, are eligible.

Festival Vision: Submitted works must connect in some way with the festival's vision and objectives. The programming committee will select the works to be showcased across the different sections.

subtitles: Works in a language other than Spanish must include Spanish subtitles. The festival does not cover subtitling expenses.

Image Rights: Participants authorize the festival and its organizers to publicly broadcast their name, image, and/or voice across any existing media (TV, print, web) or media created in the future, without time or geographical limitations, for the purpose of promoting their screening within the festival.

Promotional Material: Participants authorize the publication of trailers, reels, and promotional materials on the festival’s official platforms and social media channels with no time limits.

Compliance: Submissions that do not comply with the general conditions and pre-selection requirements will not be accepted.


B. Technical Specifications

Selected audiovisual works must be provided in digital format as an .MP4 file with a minimum bitrate of 10 Mbps.


3. REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF WORKS

Submissions must be carried out exclusively through the Festhome platform.

Participants must first provide a private online screening link (Vimeo, YouTube, etc.). If selected, they will be required to send the full high-quality file in the specified technical format.

Once submitted, works cannot be withdrawn from the festival.


4. SELECTED WORKS

The festival accepts films of all genres.

Selected participants will be notified via email.

Selected works are authorized to display the official FICVE logo on their posters and promotional materials.

The assignment of selected works to specific festival sections is at the sole discretion of the programming committee.


5. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS

Submitting a work implies the full acceptance of these terms and the assignment of projection and reproduction rights to the festival for exhibition and promotional purposes.

Participants authorize the festival to use excerpts of the submitted work for non-profit promotional purposes in showcases, forums, and other festivals, up to a maximum of 3 minutes per work.

Selected participants agree to share promotional materials regarding their film's participation in FICVE and to mention the festival in any media press coverage they engage in.


6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND RIGHTS

Participants declare that they are the sole and legitimate copyright holders of the submitted audiovisual works, either as authors or authorized assignees. In the event of a false declaration regarding ownership, the participant assumes full responsibility for any third-party claims, holding the Festival and its organizers entirely harmless.

Participants warrant that they hold all necessary rights and clearances involved in the work (music, script, image rights, etc.).

Participants explicitly agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organizers of the Villa Elisa International Film Festival against any claims regarding ownership rights or lack of authorization concerning the contents of the work.


7. Awards AND RECOGNITION

All selected participants will receive an official Diploma of Recognition for their participation in the Villa Elisa International Film Festival.
