We estimulated the creation of all kint of short films, which has a relation with football.

Awards

1. General category: A single prize for the winning short film equivalent to $1,200,000

2. Short Film Category Format (RRSS Reel/Tiktok/other): A single prize for the winning short film equivalent to $300,000

3. Tocopilla special prize: a single winner of this prize (whether a participant in any of the two categories, General or RRSS) will receive as a prize 2 air tickets to see Alexis Sánchez play in the country where his team is located during 2024. The The prize includes 2 air tickets to the destination of Alexis Sánchez's team, 2 tickets to see him at the stadium, accommodation in a double room and food for 2 people for 4 days.

However, the destination may be modified due to force majeure, lack of availability of tickets or other factors that prevent attendance in person at the destination and match of the team in which Alexis Sánchez is playing. In that case it will be exchanged for a similar prize that is available on the dates defined by the organization.

COMPETITION RULES

“TOCOPILLA FILM FOOTBALL FESTIVAL 2023”

Invitation:

The Cultural Corporation of the Chilean Chamber of Construction, hereinafter interchangeably the “CORPORATION”, TOCOPILLA FOOTBALL CINEMA FESTIVAL and SQM invite a National Short Film Contest on the sport of Soccer, 2023 version called TOCOPILLA FOOTBALL CINEMA FESTIVAL 2023, hereinafter interchangeably the “CONTEST”, according to the terms and conditions indicated below.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

One) APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION.

a) All persons of legal age, Chileans and resident foreigners may apply to participate and register in the CONTEST.

b) The application will be made remotely by sending the audiovisual material in the formats described below (page 2) to the email secretaria.recepcion@corporacioncultural.cl.

c) At the time of requesting their application, each applicant must fill out and attach the “APPLICATION FORM”, in which they must necessarily specify in detail the information requested in full, that is, select one of the 2 categories to which they are applying. , Title of the short film, full name, age, RUT, indicate if you are a school or university student, address, contact telephone numbers and email. If these requirements are not met, the application will be considered inadmissible.

d) A group of people, 2 or more authors, may apply for the same project; however, as indicated below, for the purposes of awarding awards, only 2 people will be considered in the general category and a single prize in each. one of the other categories.

e) The application period will be between August 1, 2023 and November 15, 2023.

f) Application and registration for the CONTEST will be completely free.

Two) FROM THE SHORT FILM. SUBSTANTIAL AND TECHNICAL ASPECTS.

a) Main theme of the short film: Basic requirement to have Football as part of the story, the script, the story. Either as a central and main element or as a secondary element that accompanies the story, being an important part of the story being told. The work may be fiction, documentary or animation.

b) Short films may be recorded with any recording device: mobile phone camera, digital camera, action camera, tablet, camcorder, etc. It can then, if deemed appropriate, be edited with external tools.

c) Short films must be original and cannot have been awarded in other similar contests.

d) Each short film submitted to the competition must have a title.

e) If the short film is not recorded in Spanish, it must be subtitled in this language.

f) In the General Category, the short film may have the duration that the author estimates, within what is generally defined as a short film, that is, between 1 and 40 minutes, including the credits. In the RRSS short film category, the duration may be between 1 and 3 minutes.

g) The delivery formats of the short films may be MOV, MPEG4, AVI, WMV, MPEGPS, FLV, 3GPP, WebM. And they must be sent in a compressed file, wetransfer, dropbox, google drive or other similar file.

h) Each contestant may compete with the number of short films they deem appropriate, in any of the 2 existing categories.

Three) THE EVALUATION AND THE JURY.

a) The evaluation of the short films received will be carried out by a Jury who will decide completely autonomously and independently, in a single instance and without further appeal, that is, the Jury's resolution will be final.

b) The Jury will be made up of the following people:

• Cristián Arcos
• Matías Carvajal

c) The CORPORATION reserves the right to replace, or not, one or more of the jurors identified above for any cause or impediment throughout the duration of the CONTEST.

d) The winners of the COMPETITION will be contacted by the festival organization.

e) At any time during the validity of the CONTEST, the Jury, without giving cause, may declare the elimination of any of the short films received within the deadline.

f) The jury will preselect a number determined by itself to be uploaded to the digital platform and enter the competition for the Special Audience Award category.
Four) ABOUT THE CATEGORIES, THE PRIZES AND THE AWARDS.

a) The COMPETITION will have 2 categories and 4 special prizes:

1. General Short Film Category: category open to the public,
short film with a duration between 1 and 40 minutes.

2. RRSS Short Film Category (such as Tiktok, Instagram Reel or other
similar format), specific category in the format of these RRSS, with a
duration from 1 minute to 3 minutes.

3. Tocopilla special award: special category for short films
made by inhabitants in the comuna of Tocopilla.

4. Special School Student Award.

5. Special University Student Award.

6. Special Public Vote Award: the short film with the most likes on the Festival's official Instagram account.

b) Prizes

1. General category: A single award for the winning short film
equivalent to $1,200,000

3. Tocopilla special prize: a single winner of this prize (whether a participant in any of the two categories, General or RRSS) will receive as a prize 2 air tickets to see Alexis Sánchez play in the country where his team is located during 2024. In the event that the short film that wins this Tocopilla Special Award is a collective work, said COMPETITION prize will only have 2 tickets and accommodation for 2 people, in which case it will be up to the filmmakers to define which of them will travel on behalf of the rest.

4. School Student Prize: a single prize for the winning short film (whether participating in either of the two categories, General or RRSS) equivalent to $300,000 liquid. The prize is a single payment for the indicated amount even if (three hundred thousand Chilean pesos) it is an individual or collective work.

5. University Student Award: a single award for the winning short film (whether participating in any of the two categories, General or RRSS) equivalent to $500,000

6. Special Public Vote Category: a single prize for the winning short film (whether participating in any of the two categories, General or RRSS) equivalent to $300,000

c) The award ceremony will take place on a date, place and time to be defined. Five) GENERAL PROVISIONS

a) Participation in the COMPETITION necessarily implies knowing and fully accepting these rules.

b) The CORPORATION, THE TOCOPILLA FOOTBALL FILM FESTIVAL and SQM will have the indefinite right to exhibit and disseminate the short films received, whether on open or closed platforms, free or paid, on television channels, YouTube channels and other similar ones, in social networks, other media, web portals, screens or public dissemination platforms, other public or private spaces, dissemination on public transport. Always pointing out that the context of the Tocopilla Film Football Festival corresponds, mentioning the name of the director. Both the Corporation and SQM will have the right to partially or completely display this material from the moment this 2023 contest closes and indefinitely over time. By the sole fact of participating in this CONTEST the author fully accepts these conditions mentioned in this point regarding the authorization to the CORPORATION, FESTIVAL FÚTBOL CINE TOCOPILLA and SQM to exhibit and disseminate the short films.

c) Without prejudice to what is stated in the preceding letter, the copyright on each short film will be the property of the Contestant who may market it, always informing that it corresponds to work carried out within the framework of a COMPETITION carried out by the Tocopilla Football Cine Festival. Consequently, neither the Corporation, nor the Tocopilla Cine Football Festival nor SQM will be able to market these short films nor will they receive any subsequent payment from the CONTESTANT for eventual sales.
