The Adult and Minor Brain Injury Association announces, within the I Edition of the International Film Festival for Diversity "ADACAM", the international awards for Best Fiction Short Film, Best Professional Fiction Short Film, Best Low Budget Fiction Short Film, Best Film School Short Film, Best Primary Education Short Film, Best Secondary Education Short Film.
• Best Short Film, endowed with 500 euros and an award.
• Best Low Budget Short Film, endowed with 500 euros and an award.
• Best Primary Education Short Film, endowed with 500 euros and an award.
• Best Secondary Education Short Film, endowed with 500 euros and an award.
• Best Film School Short Film including universities, endowed with 500 euros and an award.
• Best Documentary Short Film, endowed with 500 euros and an award.
• Public, endowed with 300 euros and an award.
RULES FOR THE PRESENTATION OF SHORT FILMS TO COMPETITION
I INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FOR DIVERSITY “ADACAM”
From June 12 to 18, 2023
1. CALL
The Adult and Minor Brain Injury Association announces, within the I Edition of the International Film Festival for Diversity "ADACAM", the international awards for Best Fiction Short Film, Best Professional Fiction Short Film, Best Low Budget Fiction Short Film, Best Film School Short Film, Best Primary Education Short Film, Best Secondary Education Short Film.
2. CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION
a) Audiovisual productions in short film format may be submitted to the competition. Expressly excluded from this call are pre-montages and advertising montages, partial montages from feature films, television episodes, including series pilots or montages from these.
b) Short films will be admitted to the fiction, documentary or animation genre contest.
c) The works presented must be produced after September 30, 2021.
d) The short films in the competition may not exceed 20 minutes in length, including the credits.
e) More than one short film per author or authors may be presented, their unpublished nature not being necessary and they may have been awarded prizes in other competitions. Each short film submitted to the contest must be sent independently and with its own registration request.
f) The short films in the competition will develop a theme of social content, in a clear commitment to encourage inclusion, diversity and values.
g) The short films registered in the Festival must be presented in their original version with Spanish subtitles in all cases.
h) Those works that do not technically guarantee a correct projection will be rejected.
i) The works must be submitted to the competition in HD format (1920 x 1080 resolution), in a .mov file, compressed in HD64, or in HD64 mp4 format, both in 16:9 format, preferably at 25 frames per second or, in failing that, at 24 frames per minute
3. REGISTRATION FORM
a) Registration must be made between 00:00 on November 21, 2022 and 24:00 on May 15, 2023 through the Festhome festival management platforms.
b) The registration fee is €5.
c) The Festival management reserves the right to admit short films registered after the deadline.
d) In the registration of the short on the corresponding platform, the following information must necessarily be attached:
• Synopsis of the short film (maximum 300 characters, including spaces).
• Technical sheet of the film.
• Photograph of the poster of the short film in digital format (300 dpi, with a minimum height of 15 cm., in .jpg format.).
4. SELECTION PROCESS FOR SHORT FILMS.
After the deadline for receiving registrations, the works will be viewed by the Festival Organization Committee to preselect the works for the competition. The decisions adopted by this Committee will be made public as of May 31, 2023 through the web and the main social networks.
The Festival Organization will designate the members of the Jury among specialists of recognized prestige from the cinematographic and cultural environment. The decisions of the Jury regarding the finalists of each prize category will be communicated personally to the interested parties and will be published on the web and RRSS from October 21, 2022.
The decisions of both the Festival Organizing Committee and the members of the jury will be final.
The Festival Organizing Committee will resolve in its opinion any eventuality not specified in these bases.
5. prizes
• Best Short Film, endowed with 500 euros and an award.
• Best Low Budget Short Film, endowed with 500 euros and an award.
• Best Primary Education Short Film, endowed with 500 euros and an award.
• Best Secondary Education Short Film, endowed with 500 euros and an award.
• Best Film School Short Film including universities, endowed with 500 euros and an award.
• Best Documentary Short Film, endowed with 500 euros and an award.
• Public, endowed with 300 euros and an award.
Cash prizes will be subject to tax withholdings and current legal provisions that apply to them. The winners, in their own name or in the representation with which they act, must provide the documentation that is required for accounting purposes.
The winners, in order to receive the prizes, must, inexcusably, attend the Festival's Prize Giving Gala, except for duly accredited force majeure.
The awarded persons acquire the commitment to incorporate, at the beginning of the short film, an express mention of the prize obtained at the International Film Festival for the Diversity of ADACAM. The corporate image of this mention will be provided, in digital format, by the Organizing Committee.
6. USE OF THE WORKS
ADACAM reserves the right to reproduce all of the works selected or awarded at the I Edition of the ADACAM International Film Festival for Diversity, or fragments thereof, citing the author or authors.
The participants authorize ADACAM to use stills, photographs and extracts from the films, up to a maximum of three minutes, for dissemination on any advertising medium, including television and the Internet, in order to promote and disseminate this Festival.
Likewise, the individuals participating in the Gala and events organized by the Festival.
The selected and awarded works will become part of the film library of the International Film Festival for Diversity.
7. ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS.
Participation in the I Edition of the ADACAM International Film Festival for Diversity implies acceptance of all the sections of these rules, as well as the resolution by the organization of any problem not included in them.
These bases may be subject to modification due to circumstances beyond the control of the organization, which will be communicated to the interested parties sufficiently in advance.
