Kine exhibition is a non profit project produced independently. No prizes or award are given; the objective of the exhibition is to open cultural spaces, film clubs, etc., so that the short film has exhibition screens beyond the competition in festivals allowing access to the public that has not yet approached the work of all those dedicated to the cinematographic task of telling short stories.
Cinema transmits ideas, feelings and emotions, KINÉ believes that short films are not made to win prizes or recognition, short films are made to tell extraordinary stories that we live day by day, even at this moment, you can be living one.
Objectives:
To screen short films that, in most cases, trey're only seen in festivals competitions.
Creation of audience.
Encourage and promote the production of short films made in the city of Puebla, Mexico.
Promote local cultural venues.
KINÉ, International Short Film Exhibition, summons filmmakers, directors, producers, videographers and those interested in participating in its fifth edition Novembrer 2022 to submit their short film.
Short films from all over the world, produced after January 1st 2020 and which have not yet participated in previous editions can be submitted.
The duration of the short film must not exceed 30 minutes, including credits.
Any theme.
The categories are: fiction, animation, documentary, experimental, Video & Dance, LGBTTTIQ and vertical.
Each author may submit one short film in each category.
If the language of the short film is other than Spanish, then the film must include standard Spanish subtitles. (Mandatory)
The short films reception date starts on Monday august 1st 2022.
Submission may be sent online through festhome.com or by sending the link of Vimeo, Youtube or Wetransfer protected with a password and with download option to the email kineprogramacion@gmail.com
The required fortmat is H.264. You can use the festhome webpage to do the compression automatically.
Submission deadline is august 31st 2022.
There is no submission fee. Take into account the minimum submission charge through Festhome.
It is important to send additional material attached to the short film such as: stills, poster, short synopsis, director's photograph and production contact information (name, e-mail, telephone) to notify if selected.
A selection committee, made up of audiovisual professionals will evaluate the short films submitted to make the official selection.
The selected short films will be part of the KINÉ's catalog, so they can be used for future screenings, solely for cultural purposes, publicly and without profit. KINÉ commits to keep those selected informed about activities after the dates in which the sample is presented.
KINE, assumes that the producers and / or filmmakers who submmit their works (short films) to this call have copyright, distribution and exhibition rights, exempting KINÉ, International Short Film Exhibition, from any civic or criminal responsibility.
The submission and registration of the short films to KINÉ implies the absolute acceptance of the points exposed in this call.
The results will be announced on october 3th through facebook.com/kine.muestra and Festhome.com
