MY FIRST DOC Festival in Tunisia, organized by the Tunisian Documentary Cinema Association, highlights young international cinema by offering the possibility to directors to present their works to the Tunisian public.

MY FIRST DOC Festival in Tunisia sets as its main objective the discovery and promotion of first films by young talents by giving visibility to different expressions of international documentary cinema in front of the widest possible audience.

The programming that combines discovery, diversity and quality will offer the public creative documentaries with a real author's perspective.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

Item 1:
Can be submitted to the selection of MY FIRST DOC Festival in Tunisia any documentary film without time limit (Short, Medium, Long).

Item 2:
Participation in the selection is completely free.

The selected films will be presented free of charge during the festival. Participation in the MY FIRST DOC Festival in Tunisia implies the authorization to screen films in theaters for the duration of the Festival. The Festival will also be entirely or partially digital with free access to films from the platform www.documedtunisie.com

Item 3:
The films that have particularly distinguished themselves during this edition will be screened during a special program called « Film Resumption Days of the MY FIRST DOC Festival in Tunisia.

Item 4:
Only films meeting the following conditions will be accepted:

- Film produced during the last two years prior to this edition.

- The main themes addressed in the film must concern one or more Mediterranean countries.

Item 5:
Films already submitted during previous editions are not admissible.

Item 6:
Only one film per participant will be admitted for the entire Edition.

Item 7:
Films in a non-French version must be subtitled in French, or, where applicable, in english.

Item 8:
The registrant declares to be the actual author or beneficiary of the registered work, and as such to be the holder of all property rights.


REGISTRATION

Item 9:
For online registrations from the www.documedtunisie.com platform, the application file must include the following elements:

– The duly completed registration form
– The film subtitled in French and/or english to watch.

In case of selection of the film, will be requested:

– A copy of the film, preferably with a French extract.
– A trailer download link.
– A poster of the film, including all the necessary information (director, title, producer, etc.).
– A Word document including: a 5-line synopsis in French and english
– A biography of the director in French and in english.

Item 10:
Registration will only be validated upon receipt of all documents. Any incomplete file will be automatically refused without possible appeal.

Clause 11:
Registration for the MY FIRST DOC Festival is definitive and irrevocable from the registration of the application file, thus giving the organizers the full right to integrate it into their programming.

Item 12:
The selection of films for the Festival is established by a selection committee appointed by the MY FIRST DOC Festival. The decisions of this committee are final.

Item 13:
If selected, the Festival accepts the following projection formats: media in digital files downloadable via the Internet or on Hard Disk, USB key, DVD or Blu-Ray

The producer/director undertakes to provide a version of sufficient quality. The Festival undertakes to take the greatest care of it and reserves the right with regard to the extracts of films which would be the subject of use.

Item 14:
The films that will stand out for their aesthetic qualities and the themes they address will be scheduled during the “Festival Film Resumption Days”, the date of which will be announced later.

Item 15:
The organizing committee reserves the right to use excerpts from registered films and trailers, and to broadcast on television channels, on websites, as well as on social networks for communication around the Festival.

The data provided during registration will be used in various publications and may be subject to translations, corrections or modifications prior to their publication.

Item 16:
The signatory of these rules certifies to be the beneficiary of the film and to have notified the other possible rights holders, and certifies to benefit from all the legal authorizations of these. By delegation, all rights holders accept these rules in their entirety.

By registering a film for selection at the MY FIRST DOC Festival and signing the official registration form, the producer and the author of the work accept the rules set out above in their entirety.
