1. Purpose of the Call for Entries
Talent Accelerator by WomanInFan is an international competitive call for entries designed to provide professional training for female creators in the field of fantastic genre filmmaking. Its aim is to strengthen creative, strategic, and professional skills, providing tools for the autonomous development of audiovisual projects based on principles of cultural and social sustainability, as well as promoting diversity, inclusion, and equality in the film industry.
Thirty projects will be selected from among all those submitted to participate in the Talent Accelerator by WomanInFan.
Strategic Objectives of the Program
Foster women’s creative leadership in fantastic genre filmmaking.
Provide practical tools for sustainable professional development.
Encourage the consolidation of audiovisual projects with international potential.
Promote values of diversity, equality, and inclusion in the audiovisual industry.
2. Target Participants
The call for entries is aimed at professional women, both emerging and experienced creators in the international audiovisual sector, who are interested in developing feature film projects within the fantastic genre.
3. Highly Specialized Professional Training Program
The selected participants will have access to an intensive specialized training program that will take place over two and a half days, from October 13th to 15th, as part of Sitges FanLab and concurrently with the celebration of the Festival.
Training will be provided by leading professionals from the film industry and will cover the following areas:
Script development and analysis.
Creative talent management.
Personal branding and professional positioning.
Evaluation of audiovisual projects.
Presentation and pitching techniques.
The program will place special emphasis on aspects of inclusivity, diversity, and equality, both in its pedagogical guidance and in the evaluation of the selected projects.
4. Required Documentation
Candidates will need to submit the following documentation:
Letter of intent.
Reel or sample of previous audiovisual work.
Updated résumé.
Fantastic genre feature film project that must necessarily include:
Project information pack.
Complete script or script treatment (at least one of these documents).
The organization may request additional documentation if it deems it necessary for the proper evaluation of candidates.
5. Evaluation and Selection Criteria
The selection will be made on a competitive basis according to the following weighted criteria:
a) Artistic quality, originality, and feasibility of the submitted project: 40%.
b) Candidate's professional background and creative potential: 30%.
c) Coherence, motivation, and suitability of the letter of intent within the program: 10%.
d) Incorporation of values of equality, diversity, inclusion, and positive cultural impact in the project and professional proposal: 20%.
6. Selection Jury
The participating finalists will be selected by a jury composed of:
The Foundation’s Director General..
The Festival’s Artistic Director.
The person in charge of the Industry Department.
A Festival programmer.
The jury's decisions shall be final.
7. Terms and Conditions of Participation
Training will be free of charge for the selected participants.
The selected participants will also receive free accreditation for the Festival during the dates of the training program.
The call for entries does not cover travel expenses, accommodation, or meals, which will have to be paid for by the participants.
8. Certification
Participants who complete all training sessions will receive a certificate of participation in the Talent Accelerator by WomanInFan.
9. Rights and Responsibilities
Submission to the call for entries implies full acceptance of these rules. Participants guarantee the authorship and availability of the materials submitted and authorize their use exclusively for evaluation, promotion of the program, and institutional communication purposes, always respecting intellectual property rights.
10. Interpretation of the Rules
The organization reserves the right to interpret these rules and resolve any circumstances not covered herein for the proper running of the call for entries.

Extended: June 1, 2026 - June 30, 2026 (11:59 PM on June 30th) (Submission fee: 63 euros)
Call for entries closes: June 30, 2026 (11:59 PM on June 30) Projects submitted after this deadline will not be accepted.
Announcement of the selected project: September 1, 2026.
