The Secretariat of Culture and Education of the Municipality of Rosario, through Punto Audiovisual, invites participation in the 31st edition of the Rosario Latin American Film Festival, which will take place from May 30 to June 6, 2026, in the city of Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.
The Festival features four competitive categories:

The festival awards a diploma and a statuette to the award-winning films in each competition.

The jury will have the authority to award the prizes and mentions it deems appropriate.

Any unforeseen cases will be resolved by the organizers.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Eligibility
• Latin American feature films and short films completed from 2025 up to the closing date of this call are eligible to participate.
• The duration of feature films must be equal to or greater than 60 minutes.
• The duration of short films must be up to 25 minutes, including titles and credits.
• Feature films and short films that have been part of the programming of previous editions of the Festival will not be accepted.
Submission
• Works may be submitted until 11:59 p.m. (Argentina time) on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, through the platform www.festhome.com
.
• The film file must be uploaded in .mov or .mp4 format, with a minimum resolution of 1920 x 1080 px, H264 encoding, and a maximum file size of 5 GB for short films and 20 GB for feature films, without watermark. The file must be available for download for selection purposes.
• Submission to the festival is free of charge. Non-Argentine films must pay the fee established by the Festhome platform.
• Works in any language other than Spanish must include Spanish subtitles. It is recommended that they not contain subtitles in other languages.
• The quality of the submitted file must be checked beforehand to ensure proper audiovisual readability. If the file does not meet this requirement or presents technical issues that prevent viewing, it will be automatically disqualified from the competition.
• Works submitted by distributors must include contact information for the film’s production and/or direction.
• By submitting a work, the applicant authorizes the Festival to use up to ten percent (10%) of the film free of charge for promotional exhibition purposes.
• Works that do not meet the requirements stated in these regulations will not be accepted. Likewise, the Festival will make final and unappealable decisions regarding any unforeseen matters not specified herein.
IMPORTANT: If the submitted film is produced in Santa Fe Province or the city of Rosario, it may also be considered for participation in the Rosarino Short Film Competition or the Santafesino Feature Film Competition.
• All submitted works will become part of the Cinematheque of the Municipality of Rosario as part of the Festival’s Latin American Film Collection, ensuring their preservation.
Selection
• All submitted works will be evaluated by a Selection Jury, which will determine the feature and short films to be included in the Competitions.
• The Festival does not pay screening fees.
• Works not selected for competition may be invited to participate in special programs.
• The Festival will request a screening copy of the selected works according to technical specifications to be provided in due course.
• Priority will be given to films that have not been screened in Rosario and are not available on VOD platforms until the Festival’s closing.
• Once selection is confirmed, each film’s production team must indicate the Premiere status under which the film will be shown at the Festival (International, National, or Local Premiere), which must be validated by June 6, the final day of the Festival.
• The list of selected films will be published on the Festival’s official channels starting April 20, 2026.
Screenings
• Each film may have up to two (2) screenings during the Festival.
• Award-winning films may have one (1) additional screening at the Cine Lumière, Municipality of Rosario.
Jury and Awards
• The Festival appoints the Jury responsible for granting awards in the following categories: Feature Film Competition, Santafesino Feature Film Competition, Short Film Competition, Rosarino Short Film Competition, and Special Awards.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Participation in the competition implies full and unconditional acceptance of these regulations.
