Eligibility

Latin American feature films and short films completed between 2025 and the closing date of this call are eligible.

Feature films must have a running time of 60 minutes or more.

Short films must not exceed 25 minutes, including titles and credits.

Films that have been part of previous editions of the Festival’s program will not be considered.

Submission

Works may be submitted until Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Argentina time) exclusively through the platform www.festhome.com
.

Files must be uploaded in .mov or .mp4 format, minimum resolution 1920 x 1080 px, H264 encoding, with a maximum file size of 5 GB for short films and 20 GB for feature films, without watermark. The file must be available for download for selection purposes.

Submission is free of charge. Non-Argentine films must pay the fee required by Festhome.

Films in languages other than Spanish must include Spanish subtitles. Subtitles in other languages are not recommended.

The quality of the submitted file must be checked by the sender to ensure audiovisual legibility. Failure to meet this requirement or the presence of technical flaws preventing proper viewing will result in automatic disqualification.

Works submitted by distributors must provide contact information for the film’s director and/or producer.

By submitting a film, the applicant authorizes the Festival to use up to 10% of the work free of charge for promotional purposes.

Films that do not meet the requirements of these rules will not be registered. Any unforeseen matter not covered in this regulation will be resolved conclusively by the Festival.

IMPORTANT: If a submitted film is produced in Santa Fe or Rosario, it may also be considered for the Rosario Short Film Competition and the Santa Fe Feature Film Competition.

All submitted works will be included in the Cinematheque of the Municipality of Rosario to form part of the Festival’s Collection, ensuring their preservation.

Selection

All submissions will be evaluated by a Selection Jury, which will determine the feature and short films to be included in the Competitions.

The Festival does not pay screening fees.

Films not selected for Competition may be invited to participate in a special program.

The Festival will request a screening copy of the selected films according to technical specifications to be provided in due course.

Priority will be given to works not previously screened in Rosario and not available on VOD platforms until the Festival’s closing.

Once selected, each film’s production must confirm its Premiere status (international, national, or local), which must remain valid until June 6, 2026 (end of the Festival).

The list of selected films will be published on the Festival’s official channels starting April 20, 2026.
