Festival Internacional de Cine Shorts Costa Rica is an initiative dedicated to promoting the growing national audiovisual industry and all its latitudes. The launch of this first edition will be held from July 20 to 30 with the support of various sectors of the artistic community to elevate the growing efforts in the sector.
Shorts Costa Rica will develop through three stages: CR Shorts Lab, Festival Shorts Costa Rica, and SHORTS+ to strengthen cinematographic diversity through the exhibition, training, and dissemination of Costa Rican talent, with the participation of international perspectives, showcasing leading voices in the short film format.
Our proposal comes to provide large and small short film producers with the possibility of obtaining an impact within the cinematographic field, activating a presence in theaters and alternative spaces in the seven provinces of the country.
We recognize the importance of making short films visible as a means of cultural expression, which is why we hope our audience will be part of this new development and continue to showcase the audiovisual diversity at a national and international level through these efforts.
This festival is organized by deleFOCO Comunidad Audiovisual. The organization relies on the principles of excellence and professionalism, allowing the development of this festival to be possible.
