The Dystopia, film and environment festival of the Murcia region is a project that aims to disseminate, serve as a reference and raise awareness about environmental cinema, as well as support and disseminate both national and international productions on this subject.
The Festival aims to contribute and pay attention to issues related to aging and old age as part of our vital and socio-historical time. We make an invitation to the realization or presentation of short films in which their narration, their characters and / or language, contribute to problematize, understand and / or portray aspects of aging of people, populations, institutions, etc. and / or relationships between generations.
We part from a paradigm that considers the images and representations of the elderly - which include representations in audiovisual productions - influences the way we get aged and the way we perceive ourselves as aging people. We believe that the construction of collective spaces to think about aging process can contribute to build non-stigmatized social representations.

The call arises from our desire to increase the cultural offer of the city of A Coruña and its region, offering a sample of an artistic discipline with great creative potential, known worldwide, but little spread (me suena menos científico que disseminated xD) and supported locally.
The selected short films will be screened from December 12th to 18th, in the metropolitan area of A Coruña. The public attending these screenings will proclaim the winning piece with their votes. There will be also an award for the best children's short film, chosen by the students of several schools in A Coruña and the area.
Besides the screenings, we will schedule different talks and activities, for all audiences, related to the world of animation, so we can create a bridge between artists of this discipline and the public.

Carabantú has a special focus in film as an ethno-educational tool that can help challenge stereotypes. Our team works to implement this through the exhibition of films related to the memory of populations of African origin, from the African continent and the diaspora.
In addition to the exhibition of film productions by African and Afro-descendant artists, the Kunta Kinte International Afro-descendant Community Film Festival (VFICCAKK), created an opportunity to carry out a photography and video-production training process that involved over 120 Afro-descendant children and youth in Medellin. Together, the annual four festivals that have been organized so far have allowed for the training of two hundred Afro-descendant children and youth from Eigth peripheral of the city where there is a significant Afro-descendant presence, including many internally displaced people who have been forced to leave other territories in Colombia. For this reason, we feel energized and motivated to organize the seventh Kunta Kinte International Afro-descendant Community Film Festival in 2023.

Islands in music & video
Oceans and seas cover 71% of the earth's surface, produce half of the oxygen we breathe, absorb 25% of carbon dioxide, capture 90% of the additional heat generated by these emissions and feed 3, 2 billion people. The oceans, seas & marine resources, lungs of the earth, are essential for sustainable development.
Promoting the heritage and creativity of the world's islands and caring for the oceans & seas is a major factor in developing the blue bio-economy, which is why we adopted it as the main axes of our cultural and media project.
The islands of the world, through the oceans and the continents of the planet, conceal important cultural and patrimonial wealth, as much by their variety, their specificity as by their authenticity. The islanders, being cut off from the continent, are forced to live in osmosis with their environment, to vibrate to the rhythm of the elements of their natural setting, and to dominate the rigors of their daily life by giving free rein to their creative imagination and their innovative spirit. In this perspective, artistic creativity is the best support for the expression of their dreams, their emotions & their collective memory
