For its fifteenth edition, the Trevignano FilmFest is organising a short film competition for young filmmakers. A shortlist of four films will be screened between September 24th and September 27th 2026 in the beautiful Cinema Palma, along with a curated selection of international features.
The theme chosen for this year's festival is “To have and to have not: Cinema depicts a world of inequality”.
Built during World War II on the shores of Lake Bracciano, the Cinema Palma has been managed by four generations of the Palma family. As the home of the Trevignano FilmFest, the cinema has had the pleasure of hosting distinguished filmmakers from around the world, from Yngvild Sve Flikke (Ninjababy) to Stephane Brizé (At War, The Measure of a Man). We are excited to welcome our four finalists among our guests.
The four shortlisted participants will be hosted in Trevignano, with accommodation provided by the festival for the night of the screening. Each shortlisted candidate will also receive a plate marking their achievement.
Participating filmmakers assume full responsibility for the use of music, text, and any other elements included in their works. Finalists grant the Festival the right not only to screen their works but also to use them in its promotional materials.
