SUSPENSE Film Festival is an international festival of genre cinema dedicated to films that work with audience attention, atmosphere, anticipation, conflict and emotional involvement.
The festival is open to audience-driven genre and hybrid films of different directions: from psychological drama, mystery and thriller to horror, supernatural cinema, sci-fi, noir, dark comedy and auteur works that exist between genres.
We are not simply looking for films that follow genre rules. We are looking for works that use genre consciously as a storytelling tool: films that hold attention, build tension, involve the audience and create a powerful screen experience.
The main festival event will take place on September 12, 2026 in Tyumen, Russia. The competition program will be formed through a curated selection process, and the best works will be evaluated by a professional jury.
