FICDOS was created in 2006 with Jane Chaplin as the guest of honor. It is a contest created for the appreciation, production, production and criticism of world cinema in the Eje Cafetero ("Landscape and cultural heritage of humanity" - UNESCO). How will the CLC be developed?
1. Opening of the call for entries: August 1, 2023.
2. Closing date: September 10, 2023.
3. Publication of official selection: September 13, 2023.
4. Judgment and publication of the winner: October 7, 2023, during the Closing Ceremony of the Festival.
*The jury's decision will be final, and its members will keep their decisions confidential until after the official awards ceremony and the closing ceremony of the festival.
What characteristics must the short film have to participate in CLC 2023?
-It must be a short film made within the last 5 years, focused on any theme, recorded in Latin America or dealing with the same continent.
-It must be between 7 and 30 minutes long.
-If it is in a language other than Spanish, it must be subtitled.
-Format to be read on DVD or Blue Ray.

ABOUT THE SELECTION AND EXHIBITION
The videos that meet the registration requirements will be evaluated by a committee of experts convened by FICDOS 2023, which will be in charge of selecting the videos that will be part of the official exhibition that will compete for the Charlot Award.
The selected works will be part of the official exhibition of the Latin American Short Film Contest of the 18th DosQuebradas International Film Festival "Weaving the Latin American Audiovisual" free and will be open to journalists, students, guests of the Festival and the general public.
The selected short films will be part of the film library of the Charlot Foundation (producer of FICDOS) and may be exhibited, with the knowledge and authorization of their creators, during other versions of our festival, the Cine Club Chaplin and/or audiovisual scenarios that are planned without profit, always seeking the formation of audiences. Likewise, participation in the contest implies the authorization to broadcast total or partial fragments of the short films on television and Internet channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+), taking into account that this event will be carried out under a semi-presential dynamic.
