THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL FILM FESTIVAL OF CATALONIA has as his basic aims the dissemination and promotion of films that contribute to the knowledge of world cinema Social Film, on Human Rights and Civil Rights

Cash Prizes: 1,500€

Among all the films selected for the OFFICIAL COMPETITION SECTIONS, feature films and short films, a jury will decide on the awarding of the following prizes:

FIRST PRIZE, endowed with 1,000 euros for feature films and 500 euros for short films.

The two juries will be composed of individuals who have no connection to the films entered in the competition and who hold recognized prestige within the Film and Cultural Community.

Regulations for the official feature film and short film sections of the International Social Film Festival of Catalonia - CLAM 2026

Edition No. 22

1. CATEGORIES


The following categories are established:
→ Feature films
→ Short films

2. PARTICIPANTS


All films produced from January 1, 2025, onwards are eligible to participate. Films for review by the Selection Committee must complete the online submission via Festhome before the established deadline.

3.TECHNICAL CONDITIONS

a) Films cannot have participated in previous editions of CLAM. Feature films cannot have been commercially released in theaters in Spain.


b) Feature films are considered to be those with a running time of 60 minutes or more. Short films must not exceed 30 minutes in length (including credits).


c) Selected feature films and short films will be screened in digital format.

d) Films that do not meet the technical requirements necessary for a proper public screening will be rejected.

4. FESTIVAL PROCEEDINGS

a) Once registered and selected, no film may be withdrawn from the competition.

b) Authors of the participating works grant permission to the festival organization to use their promotional materials (trailer, poster, and stills) for festival promotion purposes.


c) Authors of the winning feature films and short films grant permission to the festival organization to screen their works in future editions and festival activities, subject to prior consultation with the respective production or distribution companies.


d) Films must be submitted in their original version. The copy must include english subtitles if the original version is not in Catalan, Spanish, or english.

5. JURIES

a) The Festival Management will appoint the members of the Selection Committee, chosen from film industry specialists connected to the Festival, as well as the members of the juries for the two competitive categories: feature films and short films.

b) The juries for both competitive categories (feature films and short films) will each consist of three members, selected from individuals of recognized professional prestige across the different sectors of the film industry.

c) The decisions of both the Selection Committee and the Juries will be final and unappealable.

6. AWARDS

a) Those responsible for the selected feature films and short films may use the Festival logo in the promotion and advertising (posters and other promotional materials) of said films, alongside the text Official Selection 2026.


b) Films competing in the Official Section are eligible for the following cash prizes:


→ FEATURE FILMS - Best Film: 1,000 euros.

→ SHORT FILMS - Best Short Film: 500 euros.

7. REGISTRATION


a) Participants must complete their online registration via the Festhome platform by the established deadline.


b) Films must be subtitled in english whenever their original language is other than Catalan, Spanish, or english.

8. SUBMISSION OF COPIES


Once the competitive Official Selection is announced, the selected works must provide the following materials:

a) A digital file containing the short/feature film. It must be of sufficient quality for large-screen projection. Films that are not in Catalan or Spanish must include subtitles.

b) High-resolution digital photos and the poster of the work.

9. ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS


Participation in the Festival implies the acceptance of these regulations. Their interpretation falls under the sole authority of the CLAM management.
