The Traveling School Film Festival (FIFE) is an annual event showcasing cinema, audiovisual media, and digital creation. It is an initiative of the Mboro International Center for Practical Training and the NGO Youth and Development, and relies on the partnership of the Girl Guides and Boy Scouts of Senegal, the Jokkoo Consulting Agency, and several other stakeholders in Senegal and around the world.

To manage the regular organization of the film festival it initiated, an Economic Interest Group (GIE) was established: GIE Les Associés du Film d’École (School Film Associates), whose primary mission is the annual organization of the Traveling School Film Festival, FIFE.

• Best Short Film Director Award. This award is given to the best director of a short film (under 60 minutes).

• Best Performance Award. This award is given to the best actor in a feature film.

• Best Cinematography Award. This award is given to the film with the best image quality.

• Best Treatment of Children Award. This award is given to the film that best portrays the needs, aspirations, and rights of children.

• Special Inclusion Award. This award is given to the film that best addresses the challenges faced by women, vulnerable people, or people living with disabilities.

• Young Audience Award. This award is given to the film that best reflects the current concerns of young people.

Article 1: The Traveling School Film Festival (FIFE) is an annual event celebrating cinema, audiovisual media, and digital creation. Before each edition, the festival issues a call for submissions to films and digital works from various film schools and students in Senegal, Africa, and other countries. It is open to industry professionals and amateurs alike. The festival offers a program of film screenings, workshops, training sessions, and events in various locations in Senegal and internationally via the internet.

Article 2: The Traveling School Film Festival (FIFE) is initiated by the GIE (Economic Interest Group) "Les associés du film d’école" (School Film Associates), comprised of service providers from the Mboro International Center for Practical Training (CIFOP) and community members. It adheres to the aims and values ​​of scouting and relies on the partnership of numerous stakeholders in Senegal and around the world.

Article 3: The festival welcomes films and digital productions from all countries and of all genres that respect the moral values ​​of the Senegalese people and international scouting. Feature films, medium-length films, and short films in the documentary, reportage, fiction, animation, or other genres are welcome. Films must be in a national language of Senegal (Wolof, Pulaar, Seereer, Mandinka, etc.) or in French. Films in other languages ​​must have French subtitles.
Production dates are not a factor. The theme is open but must reflect the concerns of people around the world today. Films that offend the sensibilities of young people or communities are not accepted.

Article 4: An organizing committee prepares and manages the festival. It reports periodically to the Board of Directors on developments. It operates based on an annual action plan.

Article 5: Submitting a film to participate in the festival implies unreserved acceptance of these regulations. Registration of a work for the festival is contingent upon the submission of a duly completed registration form and the provision (of an access link or a copy) of the work for evaluation by the selection commitee

Article 6 : Les candidats sélectionnés seront contactés et invités (si nécessaire) à compléter leurs dossiers en transmettant une copie du film (ou lien) en bonne version, et les outils de promotion existants : note de présentation du film, bande-annonce, affiche, photo du réalisateur, sa biographie, articles de presse, etc.
Article 7 : Les films et productions inscrits au festival le sont à titre gracieux. Le festival ne prévoit pas de rémunération des auteurs de films ou productions diverses, ni des ayant droits pour la participation de leurs œuvres.

Article 8 : Le convoyage des œuvres est aux frais de l’expéditeur. Le festival décline toute responsabilité quant à la perte, le vol ou la destruction des supports pendant leur transport. Toutefois, pour certaines œuvres particulières, le transport pourra être pris en charge par les organisateurs. La transmission par Internet est recommandée. Une diffusion à titre gratuite sur une chaine de télévision, une station radiophonique, peut être programmée pour des œuvres inscrites.

Article 9 : Les films proposés au festival sont soumis à l’appréciation d’un comité de sélection. La liste des films retenus est publiée dans les réseaux sociaux, le site web du festival et les adresses électroniques des signataires de l’inscription. La programmation de la diffusion et de l’exploitation des œuvres est élaborée par le comité d’organisation. Les modalités d’exploitation de l’œuvre (projection, exposition, publication dans les documents du festival) sont définies par le comité d’organisation.

Article 10: The withdrawal of a selected film (or work) from the program rests solely with the organizing committee.

Article 11: The participant guarantees that the submitted film or work has obtained all required authorizations, particularly regarding the use of images, music, or other documents.

Article 12: By accepting these regulations, the participant expressly declares that they possess all the rights transferred and indemnifies the festival against any disturbance, claim, or infringement that could harm its reputation or property.

Article 13: To promote the festival, the producers and rights holders of the selected work authorize the festival to present the work, or excerpts of up to three minutes in length, via television broadcast, radio broadcast, internet streaming, print media, or other means of dissemination.

Article 14: The media of the screened works will remain in the possession of the organizers for promotional use at future festivals. However, no commercial use will be made of them without the producer's consent.

Article 15: Film screenings are free of charge and may be followed by discussions or other activities. They are organized in public or private spaces, outdoors, in theaters, schools, and universities. The directors of the selected films or works may be provided with support to present their films at the festival, depending on available resources.

Article 16: Films selected and entered in competition are subject to a jury vote. prizes may consist of a certificate and possibly a trophy, or be awarded in kind or in cash.

Article 17: Any dispute arising from the application or interpretation of these regulations shall be expressly submitted to the discretion of the Directorate of Cifop de Mboro.
