From a remote village on the banks of the Lérez River, this family film festival was born, aiming to bring cinema to rural areas, promote audiovisual talent, and help the local school's Parents' Association (ANPA) raise funds for activities with its students.
Organized by the production company Digital Monster Collective, in collaboration with the ANPA of the CEIP Pedro Antonio Cerviño school and the Campo Lameiro Town Council, this festival will take place in several screenings at different locations around the village, including the Community Center and the primary school.

BACKGROUND:
Digital Monster Collective, in collaboration with the Parents' Association (ANPA) of the Pedro Antonio Cerviño Primary School and the Campo Lameiro Town Council, is organizing this film festival with the following aims:
1. To create a space that brings independent cinema to rural areas.
2. To reward talent and creativity in the world of audiovisual creation.
3. To raise funds for the Parents' Association (ANPA) to carry out activities with the children of the Pedro Antonio Cerviño Primary School.
4. To open our beautiful village, awarded the title of Rural Tourism Capital of Spain in 2022 and Capital of Rock Art, to the world, as a meeting point for rural life, culture, and film.
5. To create an event where children and their families can enjoy cinema together.
REQUIREMENTS FOR FILM SUBMISSION:
Short Film Category:
1) Short films under 15 minutes in length, made using any technique (except AI) from 2023 until the submission deadline for this competition. 2025.
2) The format must be MP4 or MOV (H.264) with 1080p HD resolution.
3) Works may be in any official language of Spain and must include subtitles in Spanish or Galician
4) Works may be on any theme, provided they do not promote discrimination, hatred, or xenophobia, and are not sexually explicit. However, they must be suitable for all audiences (family or children's films).
5) Short films, both narrative and experimental, music videos, promotional pieces, and video game cinematics will be accepted, provided the author owns the exploitation rights to the work and the trademark appearing on it, and that all other rules are met.
6) Works must be original, and the author must own the exploitation rights to the submitted work.
7) The use of generative artificial intelligence in the production of short films is not permitted.
Feature Film Category:
1) Films between 40 and 150 minutes in length, produced using any technique (except AI) between 2023 and the submission deadline for this competition in 2025.
2) The format must be MP4 or MOV (H.264) with 1080p HD resolution.
3) Works may be in any official language of Spain and must include subtitles in Spanish or Galician.
4) Works may be on any theme, provided they do not promote discrimination, hatred, or xenophobia, and are not sexually explicit. They must be suitable for all audiences (family or children's films).
5) Short films, both narrative and experimental, music videos, promotional pieces, and video game cinematics will be accepted, provided the author holds the rights to the work and the trademark appearing on it, and all other rules are met.
6) Works must be original, and the author must own the exploitation rights to the submitted work.
7) The use of generative artificial intelligence is not permitted in the production of feature films.
Within each category, there will be two subcategories: fiction and animation.
-Fiction Category: Open to all filmmakers over 18 years of age whose films meet the requirements and have been shot with a camera (professional, amateur, or mobile phone).
-Animation Category: Open to any work by filmmakers over 18 years of age that meets the other requirements and has been created using animation techniques in at least 75% of the work. Both traditional techniques (stop motion, 2D, pixilation, etc.) and digital techniques (3D, 2D, etc.) are accepted.
REGISTRATION
• The deadline for short film submissions is February 8, 2026.
• Submissions must be made through the FESTHOME website.
• There is a symbolic registration fee of €2 for short films and €3 for feature films, which will be entirely dedicated to fundraising for the Parents' Association (ANPA) to carry out activities with the children of the CEIP Pedro Antonio Cerviño school.
• Registering a work implies acceptance of the rules
Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted, nor will those that do not meet the criteria established in the call for entries (any work found to contain plagiarism, use of AI, copyright infringement, or that includes unacceptable content or length will be rejected from the festival and the competition).
Both professionals and students are welcome to participate. Along with the film, applicants must submit a teaser trailer for the short film for promotional purposes should it be selected as a finalist, in the same format as the short film, and a poster for the work in vertical format for promotional purposes should it be selected as a finalist.

*The possibility of awarding a runner-up prize or special mention is reserved for any other meritorious work.
CRITERIA FOR AWARDING THE PRIZE:
The criteria that will be considered for awarding the prizes are originality, technical quality, narrative depth or complexity of the technique used in the case of experimental works, and the value contributed in terms of the choice of theme, as well as the suitability of the projects for the target audience (families with children of all ages).
ASSIGNMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS:
Participation in this competition implies the free, non-exclusive, universal, and perpetual assignment, as well as the right to assign to third parties (press, social media, and other media outlets) the intellectual property rights of the submitted works, for the purpose of:
• Screening the finalist short films in various venues located in Campo Lameiro during the festival.
• Promoting the event on social media and in the press using video excerpts or teasers.
• Promoting future editions of the event using video excerpts or teasers.
• Specifically, the winning short films may be screened again in future editions of the festival as a retrospective.
• Promotion on social media and in press releases using the submitted posters.
• A non-competitive section, called Panorama, is being considered. This section would be broadcast live on Twitch and would remain visible on the platform for up to two days. After that time, the videos would be removed from the platform.
This assignment includes, but is not limited to, the rights of reproduction, distribution, public communication, adaptation, and any other intellectual or industrial property rights recognized by applicable law, always limited to the applications described above.
JURY AND DECISION:
The jury's decision, which is final, and the winning projects will be announced on March 15, 2026, at the Campo Lameiro Sports Center (or another location to be announced in advance), during the event held for this purpose starting at 6:00 p.m.
The finalists will be announced on February 22nd on social media and participants will be notified by email.
The Jury will be composed of members appointed by the organizers, professionals, and critics from the audiovisual industry.
The jury may declare the Prize void. In this case, the prize money will be reserved for the following edition.
The Audience Award will be determined by votes cast on ballots provided with each ticket. Voting will take place during the screenings, and ballots will be submitted to the organizers upon leaving the theater, in ballot boxes provided for this purpose. The winner will be the film with the most votes.
The winners agree to display the festival's laurel wreath on their short film and in all public communications
FINAL PROVISIONS
The Organizing Committee, comprised of members of Digital Monster Collective, members of the Parents' Association (ANPA) of CEIP Pedro Antonio Cerviño, and members appointed by the Campo Lameiro Town Council, will be responsible for the smooth running of the competition.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make any changes to these rules that may help improve the achievement of the competition's objectives.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to annul or cancel all or part of the competition if fraud or a breach of the rules is detected. In this case, it reserves the right to withhold any prize from any fraudulent participant. Any fraudulent action will result in the immediate disqualification of the person committing it.
The Organizing Committee will determine and communicate any changes or exceptions that affect these rules.
ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES:
By submitting their applications, participants accept these rules and the Jury's decision, waiving any right to appeal.
These rules, which will be published on this website and on social media, will apply from the date of their publication.
