The Fundación Sindical Ateneo 1º de Mayo announces the 5th Proceso 1001 Audiovisual Content Competition. Its aim is to give well-deserved recognition to short films that highlight the value of the world of work, the culture it generates, solidarity, gender equality, struggle, victories, and everything that helps to place the narrative of trade-union and feminist life and struggle within society.
Aware of the importance of training and organization for workers, this competition bears the name Proceso 1001 as a tribute and in remembrance of the ten trade unionists who were members of the leadership of the clandestine Comisiones Obreras and who were arrested in 1972, tried, and sentenced by the Public Order Court of the Franco dictatorship.
The current call has modified some of its rules, increasing the screening of competing short films, changing the prize structure, bringing forward the final submission deadline, channeling submissions through a single entry route, and reducing both the maximum duration of the works and the number of short films allowed per participant.
