Originating as a competitive forum for student films, it is now a recognized platform for expression of both young artists and experienced professionals. Among the oldest in the Balkans, it is the only professional short film festival in Bulgaria.

IN THE PALACE ISFF is a Goya Awards qualifying festival and an Academy Awards®/OSCAR® qualifying festival for shorts in the categories of Best Animation, Best Fiction, Best Documentary, and Best National Film. AMOR International LGBT+ Film Festival is the first international film festival in Santiago, Chile focused on sexual and gender diversity. It is an independent, competitive festival. The ninth edition of AMOR Festival will take place from November 24 to 29, 2026, in a hybrid format, featuring both digital and in-person screenings and activities across the country.

As in every edition, the festival is conceived as an inclusive space where the programme invites different sectors of society to engage with cinema centered on LGBT+ themes (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and broader sexual and gender diversities). Each short film represents time, decisions, a way of seeing, of telling, and of expressing.

In its 15th edition, El Festivalico continues to receive works from all over the world, each one very different from the others.

Not all of them are screened.

The selection is carried out by a team with diverse sensibilities and perspectives.

This process takes us months of viewing, always approached with the utmost respect and rigor for every work received.

Over the years, some of the selected works have continued their journey, later being selected and awarded at the Goya Awards, among other recognitions.

But all of them are part of the same thing:
the need to tell stories and to be seen.
