The WomanInFan – Sitges FanLab call, held in Spain, is an international initiative aimed at supporting women filmmakers working in the fantasy genre. As part of the Sitges Film Festival, it focuses on the development of feature-length projects in early stages, offering a lab-based program with training, mentorship, and professional guidance.

The program targets fantasy genre projects —including horror, science fiction, fantasy, animation, and experimental works— and is designed to foster new voices in the audiovisual industry. It functions primarily as a lab or residency rather than a market or completed works platform, emphasizing creative and strategic development.

The call is open to international applicants. The submission period runs from March 9, 2026, to June 30, 2026 (final deadline). The lab activities will take place from October 13 to 15, 2026, within the broader festival dates, which run from October 8 to 18, 2026.
