Montevideo Cine LAB – LAB SERIES 2026 es un laboratorio de desarrollo para proyectos originales de series dirigido a guionistas, realizadores y productores. La convocatoria está destinada a personas uruguayas y a extranjeras con residencia legal en Uruguay de al menos cinco años. Se aceptan proyectos de cualquier género, formato o modelo de producción, siempre que se encuentren en etapa de desarrollo, cuenten con un mínimo de cuatro episodios y no hayan iniciado su rodaje.
El laboratorio se realizará de manera presencial en Montevideo, Uruguay, del 13 al 17 de octubre de 2026, ofreciendo tutorías especializadas y espacios de trabajo para fortalecer el desarrollo creativo y de producción de los proyectos. La fecha límite de postulación es el 23 de agosto de 2026 a las 23:59 horas. Los proyectos seleccionados podrán acceder a premios que incluyen apoyo para la realización de un teaser o piloto y la participación en un mercado internacional.

Montevideo Cine LAB - LAB SERIES
The BIFF LAB call is aimed at Ibero-American fiction feature film projects in an advanced development stage. It supports creative teams composed of a director and a producer linked to production companies with at least three years of experience and a solid portfolio.
The event will take place in Bogotá, Colombia, from October 9 to 11, 2025, during the Bogota International Film Festival. Selected projects will participate in workshops, personalized mentoring, and meetings with industry experts to boost their development, co-production, and international visibility.
Applications are free and must be submitted exclusively through the official platform, including project details, participant profiles, timeline, and financing plan. Participants must speak Spanish and attend all event activities.
BIFF LAB provides selected participants with airfare, accommodation, and accreditation, but does not cover per diems or meals. The call opens August 11 and closes August 23, 2025, with results announced on August 29.

BIFF LAB
The EICTV Online Laboratory in Scriptwriting and Production Design will take place from September 1 to December 1, 2025, entirely online, with two weekly two-hour sessions for subgroups of up to five projects, with a maximum of twenty participants per workshop. It is intended for students and professionals in Film, Television, Theatre, Audiovisual Communication, Multimedia Design, Journalism, and related fields who wish to develop a literary script (fiction or documentary, short or feature-length) and design its production for presentation to international funding bodies. Tuition is €800 for writer/director + producer teams or individual participation in both workshops, and €400 for participants attending only one.

Screenwriting and Production Design - EICTV
The artistic residency A Room of One’s Own, organized by Etxe Betea, opens its sixth edition for 2025–2026, targeting women filmmakers with feature film projects in early development. The program is open to participants of any nationality and age, accepting projects in multiple languages including Basque, Spanish, English, and others.
The residency provides a physical workspace in Bilbao for nine months, financial support of €5,000 for project development, personalized mentorship, and a feminist work approach that prioritizes care and creativity. Three in-person weeks are scheduled for workshops and meetings in November 2025, March, and June 2026, complemented by monthly remote mentorship sessions.
The main goal is to support the development of cinematic projects through comprehensive resources, professional guidance, and a collaborative community, fostering autonomy and visibility for filmmakers in the early stages of their projects.

A Room of One’s Own – Etxe Betea
Elkarrekin Sortzen is an artistic residency for filmmakers interested in developing audiovisual projects in a collaborative environment. It is open to women of all ages and nationalities with projects in Basque or Spanish, at an early stage of development.
The program includes monthly meetings in Bilbao and an intensive week in a rural house in Bizkaia, where participants share their projects, receive feedback, and work on improvements. Mentoring sessions and opportunities to present projects to professionals in the Basque audiovisual industry are also offered.
The residency aims to foster collaboration, mutual learning, and visibility for women creators in the audiovisual sector. Active participation and commitment to the program are highly valued.
