The DIVERSIVAS festival seeks to showcase realities that do not exoticize the Latin American LGBTQIA+ community, through the decolonial and intersectional narratives and visions that we will program at the festival.
Furthermore, the festival will promote the recognition of the talent and vision of Latin American LGBTQIA+ creators working within the Catalan cultural circuit to enrich intercultural dialogue, while also showcasing new Latin American cinema focused on sexual dissidence with a counter-narrative perspective on Western norms. Through this, we aim to provide a diverse cultural program for the city, allowing for the representation of dissident identities that often lack visibility.
Finally, the DIVERSIVAS Festival seeks to broaden the perspective of the Catalan LGBTQIA+ community through reflection, dialogue, and cultural exchange. As a festival, we aspire to create a space where different voices, languages, accents, and artistic expressions converge, celebrating cultural diversity as a source of collective wealth.
