The Palencia International Films Festival is organised by the Association Friends of the film and the Popular University of Palencia.

This edition is number 36, and during all these years, our philosphy has been considering cinema a tool of development and social cohesion.

Our festival colaborates with the Spanish Cinema Academy, and its a qualifyer festival for the GOYA shortfilm Awards.

In addition, the short film awarded the first prize by the jury at the MCIP (the Milagros Alcalde Award) will go directly to the Short List finalist of the FUGAZ Awards, making up the short list of films that will then be evaluated for nomination by the commission that awards these prizes each year.

The fifth of the short film event themed "Animal Freedom" organized by Vegan Çiftlik will be held on July 15-18, 2027.

The purpose of the festival is to encourage the production of and provide a space for sharing short films and video artworks that draw attention to the violations of rights in farms, slaughterhouses, laboratories, zoos, circuses, natural habitats and many other areas in line with human desires, and the fact that even the most basic rights of animals are not recognized in the legal plane by being seen as property.

The works sent to the Festival will be displayed at the camp that will be held at Vegan Çiftlik between July 15-18, 2027.

Be part of the 6th edition of Breaking Walls Dance Films.

Breaking Walls Dance Films (BWDF) is the first and only dance film festival in Egypt and the region. Since 2021 we have screened 129 films from more than twenty countries, and we programme deliberately towards work that rarely reaches Egyptian screens — recent editions have introduced audiences to films from Tunisia, Malta, Hungary and Indonesia.

The 6th edition runs 10 to 20 January 2027. Screenings take place in Cairo and, just as importantly, outside it — in Minya, Mansoura, Sohag and Qena. In several of those governorates, our screenings were the first time dance film had ever been shown publicly. My First Festival (MPF) is the first international film, audiovisual, and new technologies festival for children and youth in Peru. We sow a love of cinema as a tool for social transformation through audiovisual and media literacy.
