From the FCIA 1503 Film Festival we are happy to tell you that we are going to start our first edition in the great Villa de Aranda de Duero (Burgos), giving shape to our illusion of being able to bring Culture and Cinema closer, and to be able to give also meet those young directors and actors.

AWARDS
The following official awards of the 4th Aranda de Duero International Film Festival will be presented:
* Best National Short Film.
* Best International Short Film.
* Best Documentary Short Film.
* Best Short Film (Burgos Talent).
* Best Director.
* Best Actor.
* Best Actress.
* Best Original Score.
The Organization may also grant special mentions, extraordinary awards, or additional forms of recognition.
Awards may consist of trophies, cash prizes, products, services, experiences, or any other contribution provided by the Organization or by the Festival’s collaborating entities and sponsors. The composition and nature of each award will be announced by the Organization prior to the Closing Gala.

IV ARANDA DE DUERO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
November 23 to 28, 2026
The Asociación Cultural El Mostacho announces the 4th Edition of the Aranda de Duero International Film Festival, to be held from November 23 to 28, 2026, in Aranda de Duero (Burgos).
The Festival was founded with the objective of consolidating the short film format as one of the fundamental pillars of the cultural offering in Aranda de Duero and the Ribera del Duero region, promoting audiovisual creation, fostering encounters between professionals and the public, and promoting national and international independent cinema.
To facilitate public access to the various audiovisual proposals, the Festival establishes the following official categories:
4th National Short Film Competition.
4th International Short Film Competition.
4th Documentary Short Film Competition.
2nd "Burgos Talent" Short Film Competition.
1. PARTICIPATION
Short films produced or completed on or after January 1, 2025, that have not been submitted to previous editions of the Aranda de Duero International Film Festival, are eligible to participate.
Fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental films will be accepted.
The maximum running time for all works is 25 minutes, including credits.
Films must be submitted in their original version. When the original language is not Spanish, they must include Spanish subtitles.
Submissions must be made by the individual or legal entity that holds the exhibition rights to the work or legally represents its rights holders.
The production and distribution companies of the selected or award-winning works commit to including the official reference of the selection or award obtained at the Aranda de Duero International Film Festival in future exhibitions, festivals, VOD platforms, physical copies, television, and promotional material, using the official laurels/imagery provided by the organization.
The Festival will take place in person.
The decisions of the Selection Committee and the Jury will be final and binding.
2. CATEGORIES
4th National Short Film Competition
Works of Spanish production and/or direction are eligible to participate. National productions and co-productions in which the Spanish participation is greater than 50% will be considered Spanish.
4th International Short Film Competition
Works of production or direction other than Spanish are eligible to participate. Productions in which the foreign participation is greater than 50% will be considered international.
4th Documentary Short Film Competition
Documentaries of any nationality are eligible to participate.
2nd "Burgos Talent" Competition
Works that meet at least one of the following requirements are eligible to participate:
Directed by a person born or residing in the province of Burgos.
Include at least one person born or residing in the province of Burgos within their main technical or artistic crew.
Have been filmed entirely or partially in the province of Burgos.
3. SUBMISSION
The submission period will remain open from July 1, 2026, until September 7, 2026, at 23:59 hours.
All submissions must be made exclusively through the Festival's official platform:
www.festhome.com
The same short film may be submitted to one or more categories, provided it meets the requirements established for each of them.
Submission implies full acceptance of these rules and regulations.
4. OFFICIAL SELECTION
The Organization will select a single Official Selection consisting of a maximum of 15 short films.
These short films will compete in one or several of the Festival's official categories depending on their characteristics and the requirements established in these rules.
The selection will be carried out by a Committee appointed by the Organization.
The results will be communicated via email to those responsible for the selected works and subsequently published on the Festival's website and social media channels.
Selected participants must submit:
A screening copy in .MOV or .MP4 Full HD format (1920x1080).
Two film stills (minimum 1,200 pixels wide).
A photograph of the director (minimum 800 pixels wide).
The official poster of the short film (minimum 800 pixels wide).
A technical sheet with the following details:

Synopsis
Works must be sent in their original version, with Spanish subtitles when necessary.
Selected short films may be screened during the Festival and in cultural activities organized by the Asociación Cultural El Mostacho during the year following the event, always strictly for cultural, non-profit purposes.
The Organization may use images and excerpts of up to one minute in length for the promotion of the Festival in any media outlet.
Submission implies authorization for the screening of the work within the official activities of the Festival.
5. AWARDS
The Festival will present the following awards:
Best National Short Film.
Best International Short Film.
Best Documentary Short Film.
Best "Burgos Talent" Short Film.
Best Director.
Best Actor.
Best Actress.
Best Original Soundtrack.
The Organization may add special awards or honorary mentions, which will be announced before the closing ceremony of the Festival.
6. JURY
The Official Jury will be composed of professionals related to cinema, culture, the arts, and design.
Its composition will be announced before the start of the Festival.
The Jury's verdict will be final and binding.
7. ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES
The submission of a work implies full acceptance of these rules and regulations and of the decisions made by the Organization, the Selection Committee, and the Jury.
Any circumstance not foreseen in these rules will be resolved by the Festival Organization.
The Organization reserves the right, exceptionally, to admit works that, due to their artistic or cultural interest, may not fully comply with some of the established requirements.
8. DATA PROTECTION
In accordance with current regulations on personal data protection, the data provided by participants will be processed exclusively for the management of the Aranda de Duero International Film Festival.
Participation in the Festival implies authorization to use the title of the work, photographs, film stills, graphic material, and technical data for informative, promotional, and dissemination purposes of the Festival.
Participants declare that they hold all the necessary rights to the submitted works, exempting the Organization from any liability arising from third-party claims related to copyright, intellectual property, or image rights.
