The Threadbare Mitten Film Festival is a celebration of genre cinema, here in the tell-tale heart of Michigan.
We won't push you into a box:
Horror, Sci-Fi, Contemporary Western, Neo-Noir, Absurdist Comedy, Fantasy, Splatterpunk, Magical Realism, Creature Feature, Psychological Thriller, Modern Samurai, ZomRomCom, Exploitation and Grindhouse, Road Trip, Documentary ad Mockumentary, Experimental and Non-Narrative... whatever weird quirks spark your camera rolling, we want to give you an exhibition home to exorcise them with an appreciative audience.
(and if being pushed into a box is your thing, well ok, show us that!)

We do not categorize submissions by genre, only by duration. We will program screening blocks based upon the characteristics of the selected films themselves.
BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITY Edition! New town, new time, same eclectic and eccentric programming. Lansing's REO Town takes over hosting our two-night-and-all-of-a-day festival, including screenings and at our festival's new home in the beautiful Robin Theatre and other venues, a Friday night Film.Craft.Beer VIP Party, and Filmmaker Q&As. Jury and Audience Awards will be presented during the festival.

Located just off of Lansing's downtown core, REO Town represents the heart of creative revitalization and the artistic community. San Diego Underground Film Festival (SDUFF) is San Diego's premier showcase of experimentation in video, film, and audio based mediums. A strong DIY ethos, combined with an art school brain and a punk rock heart makes the San Diego Underground Film Festival a unique place for films, videos, and audio pieces that strive to push the boundaries of accepted form and content. Films and videos that dissent radically in form or technique will be our priority in selections. Narrative films and documentaries that expand on narrative structure, or cover subjects related to subcultures or esoteric topics; animations both narrative and experimental; experimental films and video art; all will be considered for selection. Films and videos must show a strong sense of authorship.
Lo-fi films, punk rock films, skate/surf films, cooking shows, NO WAVE, glitter pop. Surprise us.

마카오 국제 단편 영화제 (이하 “페스티벌”) 는 해외 및 마카오 단편 영화 및 뮤직 비디오 제작사가 이 축제에서 경쟁할 수 있도록 동기를 부여하는 것을 목표로 하는 연례 전 세계 시청각 페스티벌입니다.
이 페스티벌은 두 개의 개별 대회로 나뉜다.
- 쇼츠 국제 단편 영화 공모전
- 볼륨 인터내셔널 뮤직 비디오 콩쿠르
“SHORTS”는 소설, 다큐멘터리, 애니메이션의 세 가지 부문에서 최고의 단편 영화를 수여합니다. 그리고 “VOLUME”은 마카오 오리지널 음악을 담은 최고의 수상 뮤직 비디오를 수여합니다. 마카오 오리지널 노래 목록은 페스티벌 웹사이트에서 VOLUME 전용으로 다운로드할 수 있습니다.
쇼츠는 2025년 3월 16일부터 5월 31일까지 제출할 수 있으며, 볼륨은 2025년 3월 16일부터 7월 20일까지 제출할 수 있습니다.

KINObrunch 2019: call for entries
To all movie-makers out there! The International Theater and Music Festival JULA welcomes young and talented film directors between the ages of 18 and 35 to participate in this year’s KINObrunch. The 2019 JULA festival will take place from 13-17 November 2019.
About KINObrunch:
JULA has been taking place in Munich annually since 2004. The festival is a five-day program consisting of theater, music, photography, and film. KINObrunch represents the cinematic part of the festival, providing a platform for a wide range of cinematography genres, namely fiction, documentary, experimental and animated short films.
Films selected by jury will be presented to an audience of film directors and critics. Following the performance, the audience has an opportunity to discuss artistic content as well as the subject of the shown works in the circle of experts and filmmakers. Best Director, Best Camera, Best Script, Best Soundtrack and an Audience Award will be granted to the winner as part of KINObrunch.
KINObrunch is open not only in terms of genres but also in chosen subject.

FAN CHILE Audiovisual Festival for Children awards and promotes the debate on audiovisual content for children. Productions and co-productions in any language can entry, but only if they are dubbed or subtitled in

TV channels and independent producers can participate. The call is open to all kinds oftechniques, genders and formats.
Productions that have been completed or aired any time between january, 2017 and May 2019, will be accepted.
The 23nd International Documentary Film Festival OFF CINEMA (23nd IDFF OFF CINEMA) will be held from 15th to 20st October 2019 in Poznań, Poland.
