The Visualízame festival began in 2011.
Organized by Fundación Inquietarte, the main objective of Visualízame is to serve as a platform for the dissemination of cinematographic works in which women participate in the direction, script and/or production.
Likewise, serve as a dissemination platform for short films that promote equality, in addition to respect for Human Rights. That is why we have two special awards for short films committed to the 2030 agenda of Sustainable Development Goals, and films whose plot addresses the topic of death and mourning.
Cash Prizes: 3,000€
A jury, made up of professionals from the world of culture, image, journalism and teaching, will be responsible for choosing the winning films. His ruling will be final.
• VisualízaMe, will award the following prizes:
Best Short Film (Fiction or Animation) endowed with €1000
Best Documentary, endowed with €500
Best Direction, endowed with €500,00
Special Awards
Enalta Special Award for the short film that best deals with the subject of death and mourning, awarded by the company Enalta. Endowed with 500 euros.
UNESCO Peace, Solidarity and Intercultural Dialogue Chair Special Prize for the short film that best addresses the treatment of the Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the UN, challenges 2030. Endowed with 500 euros.
The jury may consider the prizes in any of the categories void if it deems it necessary.
The International Short Film Festival, Visualízame,will take place in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Almería in the second quarter of the 2024/2025 academic year.
It is organized by Fundación Inquietarte.
Short films directed or co-directed, produced or co-produced and/or written by women may participate.
A maximum of two short films per category may be submitted.
The maximum duration will be 20 minutes for the Fiction and Animation categories, and 30 minutes for the Documentary category, including credit titles.
If the original language of the short film is not Spanish, the film must include subtitles in Spanish.
All the short films presented must have been produced after January 1, 2024
The original recording format is free.
REGISTRATION
Registrations will be made online through Festhome.
The deadline on January 15, 2025.
The audiovisuals admitted to the competition will remain in the possession of the organization and may be used by the Festival in the media to promote the Festival's programming, as well as in the itinerant educational activity of the Visualízame Festival organized by Fundación Inquietarte, manager, promoter and producer of the Visualize Me Festival. These activities can be carried out in person or online.
The short films must have the option to download them at the time of registration, if they cannot be downloaded they will not be admitted to the contest.
The short films may also be used for the educational activities and for dissemination of the award organized by one of the promoters of the special awards, always in collaboration with Fundación Inquietarte.
Registration implies acceptance of these participation rules.
SELECTION
Short filmmakers whose films are admitted to the competition or selected for participation will be informed of the change in the status of their film on the platform through which registration was made. The jury will choose the finalist films, from among those selected, which will be the ones that will be screened to the public during the days of the festival.
The list of finalist short films, as well as the time and date of their screening, will be published on the Fundación Inquietarte website, as well as on the festival Blog, the corresponding Facebook and X profiles.
The finalist short films will be screened in Almería, in the Magna classroom of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Almería. The organization reserves the right to carry out the screening in ONLINE mode, through the Fundación Inquietarte YouTube channel, in a single screening prior to publication of the screening schedule.
