The Centelles International Short Film Festival (FICC) has as its main objective the dissemination,
promotion and recognition of cinematographic works in short film format, promoting audiovisual creativity, cultural dialogue and the discovery of new
talents.

It is held in Centelles, with the aim of turning the municipality and Osona into audiovisual cultural references.

It is twinned with the Cerdanya Film Festival (a Goya qualifier) ​​and has the support of the Centelles City Council and the collaboration of the Faculty of Business and Communication (FEC) of the UVic-UCC, as a showcase for the Industry part of FICC.

It is not only a festival of screenings, but also a space for innovation, audiovisual education and community meetings.

Its mission is to foster and highlight emerging and established talents.

It promotes values ​​such as creativity, inclusion, gender equality, sustainability and environmental impact. It promotes audiovisual education and the dissemination of memory.


Screening Fee Shorts: 50€

● Centelles en Curt Award – Cerdà Award: Best short film according to the official jury.

● Audience Award: Audience selection.

● Best Local Short Film Award (Km0): Recognition of local production.

● Special Jury Award: Outstanding work for innovation, theme or audiovisual language.

● Gender Equality and Diversity Award. Recognition for short films or projects that promote equity, inclusion and diversity.

● Historical Memory Award. Short film that best links cinema, history and educational-social value.
FICC awards prizes in kind consisting of vouchers for audiovisual material, technical services or training. To receive the trophy and the associated prize, it is mandatory to send a team representative in person to the closing gala, or send a thank you electronically.

Rules of participation
Centelles International Festival in Curt

1. Objective of the festival
The main objective of the FICC is the dissemination, promotion and recognition of cinematographic works in short film format, fostering audiovisual creativity, cultural dialogue and the discovery of new talents.

2. Accepted Works

2.1. Genres: Short fiction, documentary, animated and experimental films are accepted.

2.2. duration: The maximum duration will be 30 minutes, including credits.

2.3. Production: National and international works produced after January 1, 2024 are accepted.


3. Inscription

3.1. Registration on the Festhome platform includes a technical sheet, promotional material, a synopsis and an online link.

3.2 Registration by post or hand delivery must include the registration form, a technical sheet, promotional material and a physical copy on DVD or USB key containing the short film.accompanied by the receipt for the €15 fee. Everything must be sent to:

4. language policy and subtitling
The Festival is firmly committed to linguistic diversity and accessibility. Therefore, all films will be screened in their original language with the following subtitling system:

Works in Catalan:VOSE without subtitles
Works in Spanish: Original version without subtitles
Works in foreign languages: They must include subtitles in Catalan or Spanish.

Subtitle format: They must be provided in a separate .srt file or properly embedded in the projected document. The responsibility and costs of translation and subtitling rest solely with the participant.


5. Awards
Centelles Short Film Prize - Cerdà Prize: Prize for best short film according to the official jury.

Audience Award: chosen by the public.

Award for best local short film (km0). Best work from the Osuna region.

Special Jury Prize. Exceptional work for its innovation, theme or audiovisual language.

Gender Equality and Diversity Award. Award for short films that promote equity, inclusion and diversity.

Historical Memory Prize. Short film that best combines cinema, history and educational and social value.

The FICC awards prizes in kind, in the form of vouchers for audiovisual equipment, technical services, or training. To receive the trophy and associated prize, the presence of a team representative at the closing gala is mandatory, or a thank-you message must be sent electronically.

6. Authorizations, liability and publicity

6.1 Participants release the organization from all liability in the event of plagiarism or violation of applicable law. Works must be submitted by the rights holder or their representative. The contest participant is responsible for paying any royalties generated by their works.

6.2 The winners agree to mention the prize received during subsequent screenings of the film. They also authorize the Organization to use excerpts (less than one minute) and photographs for the promotion and advertising of the Festival on all physical and digital media, including social networks.

6.3 All submitted short films will be added to the Festival's video library, and the Festival will under no circumstances return copies to their creators. By registering for the competition, selected participants authorize the Organization to screen their short films during the Festival, as well as at traveling screenings, for a total of three screenings. No short film will be screened more than three times without the prior consent of its rights holder.

6.4 Selected short films may not be unilaterally withdrawn from competition by the person or producer who submitted the film to the festival once the selection has been notified. They must comply with the requirements of the section in which they are competing until their screening at the festival. The festival will recognize the signatory of this submission as the sole point of contact for negotiating all aspects related to the short film's participation in the competition and as solely responsible to any other companies or individuals who may have participated in its production.


7. Selection, jury
Selection process:The festival programmers will review all submitted short films. Their decision is final. The organization will announce the selection by email and publish it on the official website.

Jury:A jury of professionals, composed of experts from the audiovisual and cultural sector, will deliberate on the nominations and winners. The jury may award special mentions if it deems it appropriate.


8. Acceptance of the general terms and conditions
Participation implies full and complete acceptance of these rules. Any unforeseen situation will be resolved by the organization.
