The Sax International Film Festival, in the province of Alicante, qualifier for the Goya Awards, arises through the initiative of the filmmaker and writer Miguel Herrero Herrero. Since its creation in 2006, the festival has had the support of the Sax City Council and is backed by: Generalitat Valenciana, Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH), University of Alicante, (UA), Alicante Provincial Council,... In the festival the best short films and feature film projects compete in competition. KINO PUNK 3X
Itinerant Punk and Antifascist Film Festival

Kino Punk 3X is an itinerant festival dedicated exclusively to the screening of short films of resistance. Focusing on fiction and documentary works, the festival promotes a curatorship centered on independent productions with a critical, anti-authoritarian, anti-capitalist, and antifascist perspective.

The festival consists of three public showcases throughout the year, followed by a final edition with an audience vote, where the Best Fiction Short and the Best Documentary Short are chosen.

All screenings are free of charge and open to the public. The film selection is carried out by the festival’s curatorial team.

The purpose of this call is to promote, on a competitive basis, an open contest to encourage cultural creation, helping to increase the quality of productions by creators in the audiovisual sector.

At the festival, called “Torrerífico,” the short films must have a horror theme, and the works selected as finalists will be screened, with the winners being announced. In this regard, the audience attending the event will vote for the audience award.

To this end, the Vice-Rectorate for Culture, Sport, and University Extension at the University of Alicante is organizing the Short Film Competition through the Torrevieja University Campus, in collaboration with the Torrevieja City Council's Youth Department and the Torrevieja Alternative Leisure Association.

LUCES CAMEROS ACCION is a short film festival with two sections.

1 – “Rural World" Section
International section of short films in Spanish or Spanish subtitles.

Recorded in villages in rural areas or dealing with rural idiosyncrasies.

Premiered from January 1, 2025.

2 – “Cameros" Section
The works submitted will be original pieces that are not accessible through Internet.

With 30% of the "footage" recorded in recognizable places of Cameros (New and old Cameros located in La Rioja Spain).

Deadline for submission of works:

"Cameros" section: before July 21, 2026.
