Kan-Kan Media is pleased to announce the second edition of “A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS FESTIVAL” Shanghai.
“A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS FESTIVAL” is a unique film event that aims to bring together Chinese film and art institutions, film professionals, students and audience in Shanghai and create a platform to exchange and promote the diversity of the world cinema. During 10 days the festival will present more than 200 short films selected from more than 60 countries around the world.
“A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS” Festival is the result of the collaboration between Kan-Kan Media and Chinese art and film institutions like Minsheng Museum of Contemporary Arts in Shanghai (official host of the Festival) and Shanghai Film Art Academy. It arises from the need to create a platform for a dialogue and exchange between film professionals, students, film communities and audiences taking as a reference point Shanghai/China.
The previous edition of LWSF was a huge success with more than 2000 submissions, 200 films selected and 10 days of film screenings, workshops, talks, music concerts and dance performances attended by 1000+ film-lovers, among them film professionals, students, film communities and artists of other disciplines.
This year the focus will be on the discovery of emerging talents both internationally and in China in order to bring them into the public spotlight and offer them the opportunities for networking and a platform where ideas and work can be exchanged among a new generation of film creators worldwide.
The festival has two main categories: International Section and Chinese Section, accompanied by showcases of outstanding festivals from various countries, as well as workshops, master-classes and other special events.
All the films meeting the submission criteria will be considered for the International Short Film Competition Award for Best Short Film, Best Director, Audience and Outstanding Story Award.

The Native Peoples International Film Festival is devoted to short and feature films, fiction, documentaries and animated films made by or about the native peoples around the world in order to promote knowledge, respect and acceptance diversity in raising awareness of the various facets of reality, trying not to fall into clichés. Thus, gradually the festival is intended as a field for meetings and discussions of projects of mutual interest.
Athens Queer Film Festival takes place every year around April - May for 10 days with awards for Best Film and Audience Award.

International Short Animated Film Festival - ANISHORT è un concorso internazionale che serve a sostenere i cortometraggi d'animazione e i loro creatori. Allo stesso tempo serve alla promozione, alla propagazione, al recupero e alla visione dei migliori cortometraggi d'animazione provenienti da tutto il mondo.
Dovrebbe anche essere un luogo in cui si incontrano comunità di creativi che producono questi film. D'altra parte, poi il posto per chi ama guardare questi film e che sono appassionati di questo tipo di arte.
Il festival si svolgerà dal 20 settembre 2022 in diverse città selezionate della Repubblica Ceca, Slovacchia, Estonia e Polonia.
I primi 20 cortometraggi animati gareggeranno in questa competizione.
I film saranno giudicati dalla giuria internazionale selezionata. La giuria è composta principalmente da professionisti o professioni strettamente associate all'animazione - un totale di 7 giudici, ciascuno di un paese diverso.

The New Haven International Film Festival is sponsored by the Connecticut Film Festival. CTFF is Connecticut's umbrella organization that wants to get your film out there, seen by the world and then picked up for distribution. Each year we help many filmmakers connect with production partners and ultimately their online and theatrical distributors.
The NHIFF is our BIG annual event! It is the culmination of our statewide monthly screening series that takes place in a half a dozen theaters, museums and cultural & arts venues throughout the state.
The 2015 NHIFF plans to showcase more than 150 fantastic films from numerous award competition categories including but not limited to: Comedy, Narrative Feature, Documentary, Shorts, Student and Animation as well as web series and commercials.
The City of New Haven IS the arts and cultural hub of Connecticut as well as a hotbed for innovation and emerging digital media and content creation. New Haven has a very hip music, club and restaurant scene with the majority of locations only a few minutes walk from one another in the downtown area.
New Haven's young populous is not by accident. The downtown area and adjoining region are surrounded by colleges and institutions of higher education including: Yale University, Gateway Community College, Albertus Magnus College, Quinnipiac University, University of New Haven and Southern Connecticut State University to name just a few.
And speaking of education, NHIFF and CTFF are known for producing more than 100 educational events a year throughout the state. NHIFF promises more than a dozen educational workshops, panels, roundtables and a keynote. Additionally, screenwriters will want to attend our 3-day "Writers Unblocked" intensive screenwriting program.

Etheria Film Night screens an annual showcase of the best new horror, sci-fi, fantasy, action, and thriller films directed by women for an audience including producers, managers, show runners, distributors, and genre fans. Our festival’s goal is to prove to the entertainment industry that there are women filmmakers making fantastic genre films and to connect these filmmakers to industry professionals.
The 2016 Etheria Film Night Premiere will take place at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, California in June, 2016. The event is hosted by American Cinematheque, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting all forms of films through screenings at the historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood and Aero Theatre in Santa Monica.

Il festival è parte integrante di un progetto denominato "Cinema & territorio", che ha come obbiettivo principale la salvaguardia della particolarità paesaggistica e culturale dei territori per la loro promozione attraverso l'audiovisivo.
