The last season of WISFFF brought us to a new home in Genesis Cinema - London. And this season, we are staying. There is a lovely welcoming "film-o-phile" vibe going on at the cinema, which resulted in lots of fun, and a surprising amount of networking. WISFFF continues to grow with more entries and awards and prizes than ever before We also had an awesome and ever growing selection of films at the screening. There are some photos of the various events on here.
Awards wise, there are a number of challenges, awards and prizes for Micro (2min), Mini (10min), and Short (25min) film categories within the genre.

The festival is open to all (UK, Worldwide, The Up/Down/LSide/RSide Dimensions, even the Outer Spiral Arm (of the Galaxy). English is the festivals first language ; other languages are welcome but should be closed captioned to English. Awards are listed in full below.

We make films and enter festivals ourselves so we know just how many offers you'll get on a marketing cycle. If you've got an offer from us, it's because we think your film fits? This event is completely independent of Wild Indie's production (but again ask us if you want to find out about any of those projects).
The Dead of Night Film Festival is brought to you by Two-Headed Snake Entertainment and The Liverpool Horror Club and is part of the ever growing International horror film festival circuit.
It is currently the only horror film festival in Merseyside, England.
The objective of our festival is to bring new independent horror short and feature length films to the genre loving public of Merseyside.
We know it can be hard for Independent filmmakers to get theatrical releases for their movies and we want to help get them the audience they deserve.
Film festivals are such an important part of independent horror cinema and are the best way to get their movies seen around the globe.
This year we will screen 6 feature films and 15 short films in a cinema auditorium with 75 comfortable seats and an Optoma 8000-lumens projector, plus 5.1 Surround Sound to present an immersive cinematic experience.

The Women's and Diversity Film Festival (FESTMYD), funded by the Audiovisual Promotion Fund through the Festival Programming modality with regional showcases in the 2025 call of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage, will celebrate its fifth edition this year.
The main goal of the festival is to give visibility to and promote national and international films with a gender perspective, directed by Latin American women filmmakers (cis/trans), trans men or transmasculine individuals, non-binary people, fluid gender, or intersex individuals.
This year, FESTMYD will take place in person in the regions of Coquimbo and Valparaíso, connecting movie theaters, cultural centers, educational institutions, social organizations, and film and audiovisual schools.
The 23rd Guaíba National Student Film Festival / National and International Short and Feature Film Showcase (Guaíba 2025) is a pioneer in Brazil and a reference in the debate and use of new technologies in the classroom, having contributed to the emergence of new talents and a new perspective on media. It is an event that has been held uninterruptedly, receiving more works each year from schools all over Brazil and abroad, while also opening space for professional short and feature films from other countries.
Guaíba, the birthplace of the Farroupilha Revolution, has become the birthplace of new filmmakers.
Festival of fantasy and horror genre shorts, open to all types of filmmakers, whether professionals or amateurs. The festival will be held in the town of Roses (Spain), from November 13 to 16, 2025. We accept short films of the Fantastic, Horror, Animation, Gore, Freak and Trash genres.

MY FIRST DOC Festival in Tunisia, organized by the Tunisian Documentary Cinema Association, highlights young international cinema by offering the possibility to directors to present their works to the Tunisian public.
MY FIRST DOC Festival in Tunisia sets as its main objective the discovery and promotion of first films by young talents by giving visibility to different expressions of international documentary cinema in front of the widest possible audience.
The programming that combines discovery, diversity and quality will offer the public creative documentaries with a real author's perspective.
The Rabat Handifilm Festival is an annual artistic and sociocultural event.
In addition to promoting the seventh art through the promotion of film productions dealing with the theme of disability, it aims to develop a constructive vision on the use of the image of people with disabilities in cinematographic and artistic works in general, and to foster a culture that embraces diversity.

Espanto Film Fest International Horror, Horror, Suspense and Science Fiction Film Festival Volume 7 will take place from October 29 to November 5, 2025 in person and virtually by streaming through our Planiferio platform, taking place in several States of the Mexican Republic.
Having a program focused on the best of independent horror cinema in international feature films, we are the ones who give the highest percentage of screen to Mexican feature films and short films, in addition to the script sections for short films, feature films, international short films, Ibero-American section, LGBTIQ+ and experimental and/or university short films with a duration of no more than 25 minutes, in addition to Espantito shorts made by children, and the new category of video games, all production must be from 2024 to date all with horror, horror, suspense, science fiction, fantasy and all its subgenres.

Festival Atmospheres uses all kinds of art forms in order to arouse afterthought and commitment to an accessible and constructive sustainable development.
Cortomontagna prize is exclusively dedicated to short films.
The prize’s main theme is Mountain life, told and documented through a video that expresses the author's point of view and interpretation.
Possible takes on the main theme can range from the narration of sporting activities (skiing, climbing, hiking - for example), to naturalistic-environmental themes, to facts and life stories of communities or mountain territories.
The award has two categories:
- Short Films from the World, reserved for short films with an international character, concerning facts, situations, people and places beyond the borders of Italy.
- Short Films from Italy, reserved for short films concerning facts, situations, people and places within the borders of Italy.
At the time of entry, contestants will choose their preferred option on the entry form.
Everyone can take part in this competition.
The first edition of the La Spezia Film Festival took place in 2016, with the aim of creating and growing a festival that combines research with attention to the tastes of the public, with the awareness that cultural participation also produces social and economic repercussions, which constitute an added value for the territories.
Organized by Cut-up Publishing and Associazione Cinema e Cultura, with the patronage of the Municipality of La Spezia, the artistic direction is entrusted to the director Paola Settimini and the screenwriter Paolo Logli. The president of the jury is Professor Roberto Danese of the University of Urbino.
Muestra de Cine de Lanzarote is a project organized by Asociación Tenique Cultural, a non-profit organization whose main goals are to promote, diffuse and debate independent films, analyze the local context and connect it to global level. The 15th edition of the project is scheduled to be held between November 20 and November 30, 2025.
The call for films will be opened between April 2 and August 31 2025, and films may be submitted to the two competitive sections: the Official Section of Feature-length Films, endowed with a prize of 6.500 euros, and the Cruce de caminos: Filmmakers from the Canaries Section, endowed with a prize of 1.200 euros. The prize will be paid during the first four months of the year.

The 360 VR and AR festival, the first Virtual Reality film festival held in Spain, will celebrate its 9th edition on October 01, 02, and 03, 2025, in which the quality and innovation of the films will be rewarded. national and international virtual reality short films.
