International Film Festival hosted by the city of PERTUIS will reward at the end of these 5 days in a feature film and short film section the Lavender of Gold for the best film.
The cinema festival Fantasmagoria- Festival de Cine Fantástico y de Terror de Medellín - reaches its 7th edition. Our competition opens to the world and the city of Medellín to explore genre cinema and reflect on these thematic. The festival has several sections of short films and feature films to embrace the fantastic and horror genre spectrum. Also, to consider relevant national and international people who have done significant work to the genre through their filmography.
Short films and feature films will be selected from any nationality, produced in 2024 or 2025 which have yet to be seen in Medellín, Colombia. The films have to be related to the fantastic genre (fantasy, horror and sci-fi) and thriller, western, action, adventure and noir. They will be exhibited during the festival in Fantasmagoria in October 2025 in Medellín city, Colombia. The film features will compete for the El Cura Sin Cabeza statuette award.
The closing date for the festival registrations is extended to July 31, 2025, the official selection notifications will be sent on August 31, 2025, the list of finalist films will be published on September 15, 2025, The Sports Cinema Week will take place in Palermo from December 1 to 7, 2025.
Here are the prizes awarded in each edition. Four main categories: best Olympic film, best Paralympic film, best football film and best E-Sport film. The awarded sections are for best feature film, best short film, best documentary, best fiction, best direction, best actor, best sports protagonist, best editing, best screenplay, best sound, films are also awarded with special prizes: Distributor award, social award, jury award, Other Cinema award (non-sporting subject) and the “School & University” award. All the films that have been selected will receive an participation plaque during the final ceremony of the festival.
Established in 1985, the Warsaw Film Festival joined in 2009 the elite group of events recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (www.fiapf.org) as international non-specialised film festivals - next to Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Locarno, San Sebastian, Karlovy Vary, Tokyo, Mar del Plata, Shanghai, Cairo, Fajr, Goa, and Tallinn.
The WFF differs from other festivals in its programme, just as Warsaw differs from other cities. Selecting the films, we always remember about our audience - native Varsovians, those working or studying in Warsaw, and those in town for a short while, for instance only for the Festival.
We do our best to make sure that our audiences get to know the latest and most interesting trends in world cinema as soon as possible. In this way, WFF audiences - usually as the first people in Poland - could discover American independent cinema as well as Asian, Latin American, Iranian, Russian and Romanian cinema. Some of the most amazing directors, like Michael Haneke, Cristian Mungiu, Paweł Pawlikowski, Ari Folman, Ashgar Farhadi, Lenny Abrahamson and hundreds of others, had usually been guests of the WFF before they reached the top.
We have been expanding the professional part of the WFF for over fifteen years. We realize that film festivals are part of the giant mechanism that is the global film industry. We do our best to make sure that the world takes note of Polish films, that they get screened at leading festivals, that they find their way into international distribution.
We started off modestly, in 2000, with screenings of new Polish projects for barely a dozen foreign guests. Five years later, we held the CentEast Market for the first time: a meeting place for professionals interested in films from Eastern Europe, described by The Hollywood Reporter as “the go-to event”. From 2009 till 2016, together with our Russian partner TVINDIE we have been presenting - in Warsaw and Moscow - films that are still works-in-progress but in which we want to interest sales agents and distributors. Similar presentations we organised at the Beijing Film Market from 2013-2016, with our Chinese partner Film Factory, under the name China-Eastern Europe Film Promotion Project.

For the last 5 years, GIFF has been providing filmmakers a chance to reach out to a global audience and showcase their talent internationally.

International Thai Film Festival a.k.a. ITFF is an internationally recognized film industry event and registered international (IMDb qualifying) film festival of Thailand. AZYL SHORTS is a unique event in Slovakia as well as in Central Europe. We create a space for presenting the authors of short films and music videos. Our main goal is not only to carefully prepare the competition itself, but to create a platform which will ensure the promotion of the artists to the professional and general public alike.
We have three competitive categories:

There will be screenings of not only the competitive sections of the festival, but also the best shorts from Oscars, Cannes and other well–known film festivals.
Our jurors from V4 countries will be the programmers for the V4 shorts section choosing the best films from their countries.
We are preparing great side events – masterclasses, discussion, film workshop for young filmmakers and of course evening off-program as concerts and parties.
The best movies from the festival will be presented not only in Slovakia, but also at different parts of the world, such as Hungary, Poland or Czech Republic, where the viewers will be able to see the best-ranked movies of the current year – The Best of AZYL 2025.
FanCineQueer, the International LGBTI Film Festival of Extremadura, celebrates this year its 28th edition between the 7th and the 16th of November launching its traditional Short Films Call with the purpose of recognising, visibilising and fostering the production and dissemination of recent or unreleased LGBTI works.
TAF, Thessaloniki Animation Festival is an international Animation Festival in Greece which promotes the art of animation through its annual gathering in October. The festival was founded, established and directed by ADDART; a non profit organization that "adds" art & culture everywhere. TAF is a festival free of entrance with a no-fee policy for the filmmakers.

FESCIMED was born with the desire to consolidate itself as a reference in the panorama of short film festivals organized in Spain in order to help raise awareness of the need to deepen and protect the values that underpin justice, freedom and democracy. Films will be viewed during the festival by the public. We have Q/A Panels throughout the festival. Our greatest goal is to celebrate the art with you and your viewing audience, so it's important that you have fun in the process!

The South African HorrorFest is the first (and close on only) event of its kind on the continent, bringing an exciting array of feature films and short films from around the world to the audience, who wouldn't get to see these indie productions in the territory otherwise. 2025 is our 21st edition!

For instance, an animated Sci-Fi comedy with monsters will be accepted.
