GENDER
The works to be presented can be fiction, animation and documentary.
OFFICIAL THEMES
Planet, Migrations, Racism, Seniors, Feminisms, LGTBI +, Disability, Mental health.
DURATION
Short films, medium-length films or feature films shorter than 120 'in length.
LANGUAGE
The works can be presented in any language, as long as those works that are not presented in Spanish have a version with Spanish subtitles embedded in the image.
AGE
There are no age limits. NIFF aims to encourage the participation of the elderly, as collaborators or participants, but it also aims to have the jobs of the youngest or anyone who is starting in the audiovisual world. Both amateurs and professionals have a place in the NIFF Competition Section.
TERRITORY
Works carried out anywhere on the planet can be presented. There are no borders that determine which works can be presented and which cannot.
INSCRIPTION
The works presented must conform to the thematic areas addressed by the festival. Furthermore, they must be registered and represented by a natural or legal person who has the copyright of the audiovisual work, or who has a signed authorization to represent the legal person responsible for it.
COMPETITION MECHANICS
All the selected works may be exhibited throughout the festival in the Competition Section. Its viewing will be free for all audiences upon purchase of the ticket. The Jury will meet to share their votes and obtain the winners of each category. The name of the winners will be announced at the Festival's Closing Gala. All the winners will receive a Melitón statuette as well as the financial prize corresponding to each category, if applicable.
CALL DEADLINE
All works presented to the NIFF Competition Section must be delivered before midnight. February 28, 2021. The works presented a posteriori will not be registered, except in certain cases justified by decision of the festival organizing committee.
PROCESS OF SELECTION AND COMMUNICATION OF THE DECISION
The decision of the selection committee will be communicated by email to the contact address provided in the registration form and will be final.
DELIVERY OF COPIES FOR THE PROJECTION
All those selected to be exhibited during the Festival must provide the organization with a copy for their screening. Said copy may be delivered as follows: - Sending the download link on Festhome or Vimeo (with password) to info@navarrafestival.com.
CONDITIONS AND FORMALIZATION OF THE SCREENING
The organization of the Festival reserves the exclusive right to the official publication of the list of selected titles, and will agree on the order and date of exhibition of the works. Until the closing date of the Festival, the works may not be withdrawn from the Festival, maintaining the obligation to provide the Festival with all the materials necessary for the optimal screening of the film in good time. The Festival may reject the participation of any audiovisual work that does not meet the technical conditions necessary for a good quality exhibition or that does not comply with the bases described.
JURY
The Jury of the Navarra International Film Festival - NIFF Competition Section will be made up of a minimum of 3 people. The profiles of the jurors will be published on the festival's website. The decisions of the jury will be final and must not be justified.
