Inizio del Festival: 11 luglio 2026      Festival si chiude: 12 luglio 2026

Short Film Festival - Theme: Nature & Imagination

This is a mini-film festival organized around a call for short films on the theme of nature and dreams: strange, creative, offbeat narrative, poetic, supernatural, experimental, visual... depending on the vision of the filmmakers submitting their works.

A jury, composed of film enthusiasts, professionals, and film lovers, will be formed for this 3rd edition of the festival, with a jury president.

At the end of the event, several prizes will be awarded:

Best International Film,
Best French Film, and
Best Film from the Occitanie/Greater South region.

The prize will consist of (virtual) laurels sent to the winners; this will be a form of recognition, but there will be no cash or in-kind rewards.

The prize for the winners will therefore be purely symbolic and will lead to publicity through publications, particularly on social media.

FLYING PYRENEES #3

SHORT FILM FESTIVAL RULES -
FESTIVAL DESCRIPTION

Festival Dates: July 11 and 12, 2026

Location: Arnaud-Guilhem Community Hall (31360) / Haute-Garonne / Occitanie / France

About: We are organizing a short film festival around the theme of Nature and Imagination: The Pyrenees in Flight. The call for entries is open from May 18 to June 20, 2026. The film selection will be announced on July 1. This is a competition that will award prizes in the following categories: Best International Film, Best French Film, Best Occitanie/Greater South Film.

Aesthetics: The Pyrenees in Flight aims to evoke an imaginative world around nature, in the form of short films. The idea is to explore the theme of nature in a non-realistic way; through dreamlike imagery, a strange, creative, offbeat, poetic, supernatural, experimental, and visual approach... When nature shifts, becoming unreal and original. Filmic journeys between poetic fantasy, dreamlike experimentation...
Goblins and sprites are welcome. An elephant in the stable. Over-ex and under-ex hold hands. And why should nature always be green? Why should rivers always flow to the sea?

It's a desire for travel, for shifts in perspective, for surprise, for aesthetic and narrative exploration, for a change of scenery. Surprising nature!

Films must be less than 15 minutes long.

Screenings: On Saturday, July 11, 2026, three screenings will take place at 5:00 PM, 6:15 PM, and 9:00 PM.

They will be judged by a jury of film enthusiasts and professionals. The jury will vote in each category (International, France, Occitanie/Greater South) to
choose the best film.

The audience will also vote, through a show of hands conducted at the end of each screening by the jury president. The festival will take place in the village hall of Arnaud-Guilhem, Haute-Garonne (31360) / Occitanie / France.

Admission is free and open to all. Jury Prizes and Qualifications: B
est International Film, Best French Film, Best Occitanie/Greater South Film.

Audience Prizes and Qualifications: Best International Film, Best French Film, Best Occitanie/Greater South Film.

Winners will receive virtual laurels via the internet, featuring the festival logo. Winners will be announced online and on social media.

A screening will take place on Sunday, July 12th at 6:15 PM featuring the winners of 6 films, including the Jury Prize and Audience Award winners, selected the day before.
