콘트라 엘 실렌시오 (Contra el Silencio) 는 2000년에 첫 번째 에디션을 열었습니다. 당시 멕시코에 존재했던 영화제는 사실상 과달라하라 (1986) 와 과나후아토 (1998) 뿐이었고, 일반적으로 라틴 아메리카에서도 상황이 크게 다르지 않았고 소셜 다큐멘터리를 보급하고 인정하는 공간이 거의 없었습니다.
다큐멘터리 제작을 장려하고 지원하기 위한 이러한 정신과 헌신을 바탕으로 2022년 11월 4일부터 12일까지 개최되는 제12회를 기쁘게 맞이하게 되었습니다. 이를 통해 우리는 경쟁 부문, 특수 기능, 비평과 성찰을 촉진하는 학술 활동 및 교육을 계획할 것입니다.
