VILADECAVALLS INTERNATIONAL and LOCAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL FILC-VILA

Viladecavalls, Spain

From La Cort dels Miracles Association, we are proud to present the first edition of the Viladecavalls Short Film Festival, a space dedicated to discovery, creativity, and the passion for short-form cinema.

Our goal is to turn Viladecavalls into a meeting point for filmmakers, audiences, and cinema lovers, offering a diverse programme that gives voice both to local talent from the Vallès Occidental and to creators from around the world.

The festival features two main sections:

???? Vallès Section, showcasing works made by filmmakers from the region or shot in our surroundings, highlighting the cultural and artistic richness of our local community.

???? International Section, open to productions from other countries, allowing us to enjoy diverse perspectives, new storytelling forms, and realities from across the globe.

With this festival, we aim to promote cinema as a tool for connection, expression, and transformation, and to make Viladecavalls a stage where stories —big or small— can find their audience.

Join us to enjoy, share, and celebrate this feast of short cinema!

Mammoth Lakes Film Festival

Mammoth lakes, United States

We are the West Coast’s premier festival dedicated to showcasing fresh and innovative filmmaking, screening everything from festival favorites like Damsel (starring Robert Pattinson and Mia Wasikowska), to world premieres like Netflix favorite Abducted in Plain Sight.

We are committed to discovering and supporting emerging filmmakers. There’s a reason MovieMaker magazine has named Mammoth Lakes Film Festival as one of the “Top 50 Film Festival’s Worth Your Entry Fee” for the last nine years in a row: We put our filmmakers first! And now we are one of the "Top 25 Coolest Festivals in the World" named by MovieMaker Magazine — a true testament to the experience you will have with us.

We always secure top-level press to attend the festival in order to get exposure for our filmmakers. Attending press and industry professionals have included Variety, The Wrap, Indiewire, MovieMaker Magazine, Hollywood Reporter and more.

The 11th annual Mammoth Lakes Film Festival takes place on the five days leading up to Memorial Day, May 20-24, 2026.

MLFF captures the imagination of audiences and contributes to the vitality of film culture by providing emerging filmmakers with an opportunity to show their latest work in a vibrant and nurturing atmosphere. Visitors are drawn to the area to experience exciting new films by both new and established independent artists, and for the opportunity to mingle with them at fun and friendly daily events. The festival is also a forum for filmmakers to have their work seen by industry professionals who have the potential to provide mentorship and propel their careers.

We are committed to promoting film as an art form by focusing on personal, innovative, imaginative films by writers and directors with a unique style and point of view. We present these films in the beautiful natural setting of Mammoth Lakes — a perfect backdrop for an independent film festival and a premier tourist destination in its own right. Because we are a destination resort, just a 4 to 5-hour drive or a quick flight from Los Angeles, we have strong allies within the entertainment industry. Our jury members are acclaimed artists and professionals from the world of independent film. We give out multiple awards in the categories of Narrative Features, Documentary Features, and Short Films.

We award cash and prizes valued at more than $40,000.00. We provide housing and festival passes for our filmmakers. Our juries have included Tim Moore (Producer of AMERICAN SNIPER, INVICTUS), Allison Amon (Producer of THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES), Rachel Winter (Academy Award winning producer of DALLAS BUYERS CLUB), and John Fiedler (Producer of SERIAL MOM and PECKER).

The Mammoth Lakes Film Festival is a DBA of the Eastern Sierra Arts Alliance and is a 501(c)3.

MAMMOTH LAKES FILM FESTIVAL SCREENPLAY COMPETITION
The Mammoth Lakes Film Festival Screenplay Competition is dedicated to discovering and supporting emerging, innovative screenwriters. We welcome screenplays in every genre, on any topic, from anywhere in the world. We are looking for stories from writers that have a unique voice and a specific point of view. Every submission will receive 3-5 lines of feedback. You can request detailed feedback of 4-5 pages of feedback for an additional fee. MLFF will present the Grand Prize for the best screenplay at the 2026 Mammoth Lakes Film Festival, May 24th, 2026.

We look forward to reading your work!

Philosophical Film Festival / Филозофски Филмски Фестивал is a unique film festival that lives on the crossroads between philosophy and film and is held annually in Republic of N. Macedonia. On one side, the festival tries to promote the idea of film as a medium which can provoke philosophical thought and illustrate philosophical ideas. On the other, it aims to trigger aesthetical analysis’ and investigations into film language as a form sui generis and empower young filmmakers and film workers to reflect on key concepts, questions and ideas in order to translate them into the visual language of cinema. It is a pioneering festival of the kind in Macedonia and the region, and one of few in the world connecting film and philosophy.

With the name Illusive Eye the optical process by which animation occurs in our brain by generating movement from the illusion produced by the rapid exposure to images in sequence is evoked. Animation offers the construction of credible universes, capable of freeing us from the limits of immediate reality.

With the coming of current communication technologies, animation has gained even more ground than it had in Film, Didactics and Videogames. Now, with the internet and the power of cell phones, mobile applications and the interconnection of devices and institutions with the network, animation has become an essential part of the language of interaction between the user and the world.

This audiovisual language has extended its discursive horizons as far as the human imagination reaches, and technically its evolution has allowed it to overcome reality by opening a fantastic vortex that provides immersive experiences and high doses of empathy as well as tons of fans of all ages and throughout the world, developing any theme with great aesthetic contributions and various levels of depth.

In honor of this abyss of creativity and as an invitation to immerse ourselves in it, this meeting space has been created for creators, scholars and amateurs. Looking to show not only its strength in the current film narrative but the presence of other types of speeches built on this means of visual expression: GIFs, memes, stickers, emoticons, headers, symbols for social networks, interface elements, banners, promotions , and any type of element generated from the illusion of an eye.

Cabriolet Film Festival

Gemmayzeh , Lebanon

CFF is the first outdoors film festival of its kind in Lebanon. The festival, which was launched in 2009 by “Laboratoire D’art”, has become an annual short film event which celebrates and promotes local and international short films as an independent form of art in a non-competitive public event, away from competition, prizes and entrance fees.

At eighteen, Cabriolet reaches a moment of transition—a point where “DREAMS” are no longer distant ideas but real possibilities. Like anyone coming of age, the festival carries the desire to explore, the courage to imagine freely, and the honesty of facing the unknown.

Eighteen is the moment when dreams stop being whispered secrets and become declarations of identity. It is a time charged with energy, restlessness, and hope. A time when we question everything, chase what feels impossible, and begin to understand who we might become.

Cabriolet, now eighteen, is dreaming with open eyes:
dreaming of new voices, new visions, new horizons;
dreaming of films that challenge, provoke, comfort, and awaken;
dreaming of stories that connect us across skies, streets, and cultures.

As the festival steps into adulthood, its dreams are bolder, more vivid, and more urgent—shaped by the past yet reaching fearlessly toward the future.

With this theme, we invite filmmakers from around the world to share films that explore what it means to dream: to imagine, to desire, to question, to resist, to rebuild. Whether your dream is tender or turbulent, personal or universal, realistic or fantastical, we want to experience it through your lens.

Join us on June 5, 6, and 7, 2026, to showcase films that challenge, inspire, and empower.

Let’s celebrate the beauty of possibility and the freedom to follow one’s own vision.

About the Festival

The Wawas al Cine Children’s and Youth Film Festival is a cultural and educational initiative that promotes inclusive access to cinema as a tool for learning, reflection, and the holistic development of children, adolescents, and young people, particularly those in vulnerable situations. Through cinema, the Festival contributes to strengthening inclusive, equitable, and quality education by creating spaces for meaningful and lifelong learning.

Since its creation in 2015, Wawas al Cine has reached 46,151 people over 11 editions through in-person and virtual activities carried out in different regions of the country. The Festival works through a collaborative network with cultural and educational institutions such as INCINE, the University of the Americas (UDLA), the University of the Arts (UARTES), and the Ecuadorian Network of Film Clubs, enhancing its impact and long-term sustainability.

The project is supported by public institutions and international cooperation entities, including the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Ecuador, embassies, local councils, the Municipal Government of Riobamba, and the Delegation of the European Union in Ecuador. This support has positioned the Festival as a national reference in the development of young audiences for cinema.

In addition, the Festival offers audiovisual production workshops for children and adolescents, who actively participate in collective short film creation processes. These activities encourage self-expression, critical thinking, and the exercise of cultural rights from an early age.

Screenings and activities take place in educational institutions, Indigenous communities, and public spaces, fostering dialogue and reflection on relevant social issues such as environmental care, gender equality, and the appreciation of cultural diversity.

The Twelfth Edition of the Wawas al Cine Festival will take place from May 19 to June 1, 2026, in the provinces of Bolívar, Pastaza, and Chimborazo, reaffirming its commitment to cultural decentralization and equitable access to cinema in historically underserved territories.

Cerro de Pasco, a city that has forged its identity in the depths of the earth, is preparing to welcome a new treasure: the "4 Reales" Film Festival. Inspired by our region's rich mining history, this cinematic event stands as a beacon of hope and creativity, illuminating the deepest corners of our culture. With each frame, we aim to project dreams, inspire talent, and celebrate the cultural diversity that characterizes us. Since time immemorial, stories have been passed down from generation to generation, carved into the walls of mines and resonating in the hearts of their inhabitants. Today, cinema becomes the new medium to tell these stories, to make visible the struggles and dreams of a people who have known how to face challenges with courage. The name "4 Reales" pays homage to the colonial-era currency, a symbol of value and exchange. Just as money connected people in the past, cinema unites us in the present, creating a space for encounter and dialogue where differences are blurred and diversity is celebrated.

WITA, Wildcat International Talent Award, is an international online film festival dedicated to Independent cinema, based in Rome, Italy.
Our mission is to recognize, enhance and give visibility to the true talents of independent cinema that, like the Wildcat, a wonderful protected species in danger of extinction, risk not being rightly appreciated in the international independent scene and therefore not being considered.

Our goal is to reward all the artistic figures who contribute to the making of a film: directors, screenwriters, actresses and actors, authors of photography, music, editing and scenography, because only thanks to the work of everyone can a good film be made. In special cases, the award reserves the possibility of awarding further recognition.

The jury is composed of experts in the sector and the works will be evaluated based on criteria such as originality, technical quality, experimentation and artistic value.

On an annual basis, the Festival selects the finalists of each category by promoting the trailers of their works and related video interviews on all social channels and on the festival website. The winners will be announced within 60 days of the official announcement of all the finalists. The times and methods of awarding will be communicated on the festival channels and via email to participants.

The Quarantine Film Festival

Varna, Bulgaria

“The Quarantine” is an international short film festival aimed at popularizing young and unknown authors among professional filmmakers’ circles. The festival is organized on completely voluntary basis, there are no screening fees and nobody receives any payment.

The festival takes place on the beach at “The Quarantine” fishing village which is the last standing fishing village in Varna, Bulgaria. The village is in danger of disappearing because a luxury residential complex is under construction on the coastline behind it. By provoking cultural exchange between contemporary artists from the whole world and locals, we intend to turn the fishing village into a culture and art zone and to preserve the fishermen’s way of life.

The name of the region “The Quarantine” comes from the past when sailors from commercial ships entering the harbour with suspicion of some kind of disease were taken ashore at the beach for the quarantine period of 40 days. In case they showed no signs of illness, they were allowed access to town. At present, the young authors who have still not found their realisation are in the state of a “Quarantine” – isolated by professional filmmakers’ circles. In analogy to the history of the location, we decided to name the festival “The Quarantine”.

More of a faggot is the one who does not love.

We are Love, we are Counterculture.

Since time immemorial, humanity has felt its emotions on the surface and in a visceral way; we have felt love and hate voraciously toward others and toward ourselves. Wars have been fought for love and crimes have been committed out of hate—hate for what we do not understand and with which we do not agree or have not shared.

As humans, we have shaped the narrative of different periods as we have seen fit; after all, history is written by the winners, and those who win are rarely fair to those who are not on their boat.

Although it seemed that the days of hate, double standards, and intolerance had been left behind, the news and headlines speak to a completely different reality. Increasingly, cases of harassment and hate crimes against members of the LGBTIQ+ community are heard of and witnessed, and worse still, the pressure of traditional powers against us is felt more and more.

While we have to endure harassment and violent behavior disguised as satire or humor, while we have to endure explicit hatred and contempt in their communications, intolerance toward our very existence resurfaces from the darkness where those who once suffered it had managed to banish it, and it takes aggressive and violent form against us, threatening our well-being.

When the heteronormative, patriarchal political and religious world creates laws that exclude a part of the population; when it is frowned upon for two men to walk down the street holding hands and they are confronted by generally conservative, God-fearing adults; when hate crimes are committed against trans people or anyone considered different from the social canon of man or woman, it is necessary that we draw the line and not allow apathy, hatred, and cruelty to continue unchecked toward a future in which exclusion once again becomes the norm, in which loving becomes a crime again.

That is why we call on the excluded, the queer, lesbians, gays, trans people, intersex people, transvestites, drag queens and drag kings… the maricas, hermaphrodites, putos, the members of the alphabet, muff-divers, faggots, butterflies, benders, and many more names we have been called over time,

Come and hang out,
Come and show your way of loving,
Come and let us celebrate the fact that we continue along this path for which many gave their lives, and for which we cannot allow it to have been in vain.

In times of hate, loving is revolutionary.

For so long, "urban" has been seen as an extension of “black”, “underground”, “other”, “unworthy”.

We know that in every walk of life urban culture, more than ever, is revered as trend setting, forward-thinking, inclusive and innovative.

This is the reason why BAFTA, BIFA, AMAA and our industry festival partners (including Iris Prize) have officially recognised BUFF - giving our filmmakers direct opportunities to qualify for film awards. BUFF is the longest standing black-owned film festival in the United Kingdom. Founded by Emmanuel Anyiam-Osigwe MBE, filmmakers that have exhibited at our festival are now household names. Join the legacy and explore new worlds at BUFF.

why I should submit to the leading film festival in the UK for diverse programming?

At the British Urban Film Festival, we have been a pioneering platform for all facets of diversity since our formation in 2005.

Long before diversity quotas and terminology such as BAME and non-binary, we have always welcomed, showcased, given coverage to and awarded films which embrace diverse storytelling, celebrating filmmakers from diverse backgrounds representative of the 9 diversity strands:

age. disability. gender reassignment.
marriage and civil partnership. pregnancy and maternity. race.
