Festival start: 19 September 2025      Festival end: 19 September 2025

Our mission is to spread the talent of young emerging directors in the panorama of Italian, European and international cinema, pursuing the objective of merging culture, territory and tourism, with a particular eye on innovations in the cinematographic field, also supported by new technological languages.

The call is aimed at short films of any theme and genre. It ranges from drama to comedy, thriller, etc. The stories can be invented or adapted or inspired by true events and documentaries or reportages of any kind.

Special awards in competition:

• Best Screenplay
• Best Cinematography
• Best Direction
• Best Editing
• Best Leading Actor
• Best Leading Actress
• Best Original Score
• Audience Jury Award: This will be determined by the total votes from scorecards given to a selected group of audience members—known as the audience jury—who will remain the same throughout and are committed to watching all the films in competition.

All videos must have a maximum duration of 20 minutes (excluding credits).

To be eligible for pre-selection, the following materials are mandatory—otherwise the submission will be disqualified:

• 1 entry form, downloadable from this link, fully completed in block letters or typed, signed, and attached to the film link (only for those not submitting via online platforms. Those submitting through online platforms implicitly consent to the release forms);

• The film file must be either 24fps or 25fps;

• The screening file must not exceed 4 Gigabytes;

• At least 4 representative stills from the short film in JPEG or TIFF format (no backstage photos, no printed photos), in high resolution: 2 horizontal A4-sized and 2 vertical (minimum 300 dpi, 30×22 cm), to be sent to the email address info@teatrodeuropa.com, preferably using a cloud provider. (Please note: if the photos provided are not suitable for the printed catalog format, the festival secretariat will extract them directly from the film frames);

• Director's photo and short biography;

• Film synopsis;

• Technical data of the film;

• Film poster (if available);

• Film trailer without subtitles (if available);

• An active and working email address, which will be used by the festival secretariat for all communications with the directors/producers/distributors.
