After 2 successful years, the Perth International QUEER Film Festival is back! Running from September 12 -18 and showing at the Backlot Perth we aim to bring a range of diverse and interesting LGBTQI films and documentaries to the Festival.
With an exclusive opening night event and the chance to see some of the best new Queer Films this is the only Queer Film Festival on the West Coast of Australia.

The International Student Short-Film Festival is co-organized by: the Nabeul University Cultural Center and the University Center for Dramatic Arts and Cultural Activities of Tunis, under the supervision of the Office of University Works for the North, under The High Patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and with the assistance of public and private organizations.
The International Student Short-Film Festival is open to fiction, documentary and animation films. It consists of several sections:
- A competitive section for short films: fiction, documentary and animation, made by students before June 2017.
- Out of competition films.
- Practical workshops for students participating in the festival.
- A competition for the best short film made during the festival.
The films presented will be chosen according to the criteria established by the jury and under the responsibility of the organizing committee of The International Student Short-Film Festival.
The jury, composed of experts and academics, awards the festival prize, and possibly other prizes entrusted by its exceptional or regular partners.

Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.
Il Festival Internazionale del Film Fantastico e Horror di Tàrrega - Galacticat, che si svolge ogni anno dal 2014, è il primo e unico Festival di film fantastici e horror nelle terre di Lleida, rivolto a tutti gli spettatori in generale e agli amanti della fantascienza e del terrore in particolare e con una chiara vocazione divulgativa. Il Galacticat è nato come iniziativa per recuperare i classici universali della fantascienza per il grande pubblico e per approfondire questa cultura che ha articolato l'universo del cinema sin dal suo inizio. Nel corso degli anni, il Galacticat è cresciuto, coinvolgendo sempre più i cittadini in questo festival cinematografico, aumentando gradualmente le attività programmate, le feste, i concerti, le proiezioni, la partecipazione del pubblico, le attività del settore e la risposta dell'industria cinematografica.
Il festival ha un carattere internazionale e possono partecipare tutti gli autori con film conformi ad altre proposte. I film selezionati in concorso saranno giudicati in due categorie:
1. RICETTA FILM - una sorta di documentario che dovrebbe visualizzare l'immagine completa e/o le istruzioni di testo per la preparazione di creazioni culinarie (pasti, bevande o deserti), comprese le informazioni sugli ingredienti richiesti e la sequenza di lavoro. Sulla base di quelli, dopo aver visto il film si dovrebbe essere in grado di preparare la ricetta.
2. CATEGORIA OPEN - un film che dovrebbe tematizzare o raffigurare contenuti relativi a cibi e/o bevande.
La durata dei singoli film presentati è limitata a 15 minuti.
La V edizione di Cortosplash si terrà dal 20 al 22 Settembre. Durante il periodo di svolgimento del festival potranno essere organizzati eventi ed attività collaterali come retrospettive, monografie, sezioni fuori concorso, mostre fotografiche, pieces
teatrali, incontri con attori, scrittori, artisti, musicisti, registi e giornalisti, visite guidate nella stupenda zona del basso Sinni.

Il Valdivia International Film Festival presenta il cinema cileno e internazionale in cinque categorie competitive: Concorso lungometraggi, Concorso lungometraggi per giovani, Concorso cortometraggi latinoamericani e caraibici, Concorso cortometraggi per bambini dell'America Latina e Caraibi e Concorso cileno di cortometraggi per studenti di cinema. Il suo programma non competitivo include retrospettive storiche, retrospettive di registi contemporanei, cinema politico, cinema d'avanguardia, genere e uno slot cinematografico per bambini e famiglie.
