O Festival de Cinema de Ponferrada é um evento especializado na divulgação e promoção de curtas-metragens de todo o mundo, independentemente de sua produção, distribuição, formato de exibição, categoria, gênero ou tema.
Os curtas-metragens, além de serem um recurso de aprendizado para novos profissionais da indústria cinematográfica e uma ferramenta promocional para dar o salto para os longas-metragens, também podem ser uma forma altamente criativa e livre de expressão, contar histórias e experimentar, independente do mercado.

The Art Color Digital Cinema International Film Festival opened in 2014. The ACDCIFF offers a setting for filmmakers to premiere new work and for audiences to see innovative new films from innovative filmmakers. The festival is IMDb qualifying - the awarded films will be granted an IMDb title page.
The "Golden Piglet" award might include a cash award as well.
The Icarus Film Festival has been a key piece in the creation of a Central American audiovisual movement, where the cultural integration of the region becomes a reality. Its execution requires an Organizing Committee with representation in each Central American country, in the Caribbean and in the United States, in charge of the realization of the National Icarus Festivals and the Icarus Central American Cinema Samples.
It is a project created and produced by Casa Comal, Art and Culture that is carried out in all mass media. It has cinemas, a TV program, a radio program and a newspaper.
The nominees and winners of the last edition of the International Icarus, constitute the main material that is projected in the national Icarus festivals. Six festivals are held in each country from Guatemala to Panama, between August and September of each year. Six Icarus Central American Film Samples are also held in Havana, Cuba and San Juan, Puerto Rico, New York and Miami in the United States, Buenos Aires and Vienna.
O FICNOVA Festival Internacional de Cinema sobre Não-Violência Ativa é realizado a cada dois anos por volta de 2 de outubro, o Dia Internacional da Não-Violência declarado pelas Nações Unidas.
É organizado e promovido por meio de trabalho voluntário pela associação humanista sem fins lucrativos FICNOVA, inspirada pelo Humanismo Universalista, junto com outras associações, organizações e indivíduos que compartilham a sensibilidade transformadora da não-violência ativa.
Depois de suas primeiras sete edições realizadas em diferentes cidades da Argentina, Bolívia, Brasil, Canadá, Chile, Equador, Guatemala, Mauritânia, México, Perú, República Tcheca e Espanha, ativistas de diferentes cidades e países estão mais uma vez participando juntos na preparação para a oitava edição da FICNOVA 2026.
FICNOVA é um festival temático que reúne filmes de todo o mundo que mostram exemplos de não-violência ativa como formas de superar a violência, a discriminação e o sofrimento humano.
Nesta edição, daremos atenção especial às obras que melhor demonstram a NÃO-VIOLÊNCIA como uma referência universal, transcendendo o egocentrismo pessoal, interessado apenas em si mesmo, e o grupo de facções, interessado apenas naqueles “como eu”. Destacaremos as produções que aspiram a querer o melhor para cada ser humano e, assim, passar DE MIM PARA NÓS.
A partir desse contexto geral, compartilhamos as seguintes diretrizes de participação para a 8ª edição da FICNOVA 2026.
A ideia deste festival de cinema surgiu da extrema necessidade de um espaço mais amplo para apresentar filmes de estreia de muitos novos cineastas da região e de todo o mundo.
O Festival Internacional de Cinema KineNova Skopje, portanto, inclui atividades como promoção, apoio, incentivos, troca de experiências e prêmios cinematográficos. É um local para novos cineastas mostrarem novas histórias e oferecerem uma nova perspectiva da humanidade e do mundo em que vivemos.
O festival e a cidade de Skopje têm a honra de ser o ponto de encontro de novos cineastas e um trampolim para suas respectivas carreiras.

VISIONI FUORI RACCORDO is the Rome Documentary Film Festival dedicated to creative documentaries and non-fictional films. Started 9 years ago focusing on Cinema and Metropolis we have since expanded the focus to explore the meaning of borders, identities, memory and migrations. The festival intends to explore the edges of things; where change occurs. VISIONI FUORI RACCORDO focuses on the point of change.
The Festival is an important rendez-vous to promote and present documentaries in Rome. VISIONI FUORI RACCORDO is a great place for directors, critics and a large audience to meet and debate. Besides the Italian Competition, VISIONI FUORI RACCORDO presents Retrospectives, Perspectives, Homages and Special Screenings such as F. Wiseman In Jackson Heights in 2015 edition. The event involves the public and professionals to inspire meetings, debates and an open dialogue on nonfictional documentary narration and contemporary issues.
The Festival will take place in Rome in November, and there will be many related events, meetings and additional screenings nationally and internationally. In 2016 we will also present the Section HOMELANDS, committed to International Documentaries dealing with the search of identity and belongings through innovative documentary filmmaking.
Since its first edition, VFR is supported by Lazio Region, Rome Municipality and works in partnership with AAMOD Fondazione Archivio Audiovisivo del Movimento Operaio e Democratico, with the sponsorship of the production company Road Television.

Com sede no DETUR Arthouse Cinema, no centro de Roma desde 2010, o ON ROAD FILM FESTIVAL é dedicado ao cinema independente contemporâneo - ficção, documentário e experimental - apresentando viagens, passeios urbanos e desvios, topografias reais ou imaginárias, desvios inesperados, psicogeográficos deriva, migração e nomadismo.
Buscamos filmes que desenvolvam, através de habilidades linguísticas e narrativas, uma abordagem crítica e inventiva às diretrizes temáticas do Festival: um clima de viagem com digressões de caminhos fixos, onde o percurso é o que importa, não o destino.
O Festival organiza exibições, master classes, reuniões, exposições de arte, performances ao vivo e música, tanto no DETOUR Cinema como em diversos locais de cinema, clubes de cinema, escolas, bibliotecas públicas e outros locais incomuns em Roma e na área circundante.
A competição OTRFF consiste em duas seções: A ROAD (Features and mid-length metragens =>30') e SHORT>CUTS (curtas-metragens <30')

O Obscura Filmfest foi fundado por David Ghane em 2016 e tem sido dirigido somente por ele desde então. Ele é um apaixonado fã de filmes de gênero desde 1996, frequenta vários festivais de cinema por ano desde 2004, às vezes ajuda lá, atua como figurante em filmes de terror e é um colecionador extremo de filmes.
O Obscura Film Festival é especializado em filmes divertidos e fantásticos, grandes e pequenos, filmes que quase nunca são exibidos regularmente. Os filmes exibidos lá são, em sua maioria, sucessos de bilheteria convencionais ou filmes de arte que podem ser encontrados na maioria dos outros festivais de cinema regulares. Até mesmo festivais comparáveis estão expandindo seus programas para incluir cada vez mais obras de arte. Quem gosta de filmes independentes divertidos, menores e especiais, mas também consegue imaginar produções maiores de países distantes, encontrará o que procura no Obscura Filmfest: filmes divertidos com arestas, cruas e intransigentes; de pequenos filmes de terror desagradáveis a épicos de batalha asiáticos, há algo para todos os fãs, mas sem tédio.
Tudo começou com filmes subterrâneos pequenos, inusitados, inúteis e depravados, enquanto o Obscura também exibe filmes comerciais de médio porte que são comercializados nos grandes mercados cinematográficos.
Os destaques das edições anteriores do festival incluíram as estreias alemãs do filme argentino de ação e ficção científica cyberpunk “Daemonium”, o thriller ucraniano “Egregor”, o zumbi filipino “Day Zero”, o filme de terror dinamarquês “Finale”, a comédia de fantasmas “Deadtectives” e os dois filmes do sertão “What the Waters Left Behind” e sua sequência “Scars” 5 anos depois.
As estreias europeias do filme de super-heróis em quadrinhos indonésio “Valentine” e do filme “Drifter”, de Backwoods, também foram exibidas.
Outro destaque foi o louco festival japonês de splatterfest “Kodoku - Meatball Machine”, que relembra uma longa história de festivais, incluindo os maiores festivais do gênero, bem como a produção “The Hunt”, da Universal/Blumhouse.
Com “Redbad” e “The Great Battle”, dois grandes épicos de batalha também foram exibidos no Obscura.
A estreia alemã do contundente filme de exploração “Trauma” em Hanover contou até com a presença de visitantes da região do Ruhr.
Após sua estreia internacional no Obscura, o filme de cowboys do sertão “Lasso” foi exibido alguns meses depois no famoso Frightfest britânico.
Em 2022, o Obscura teve suas duas primeiras estreias mundiais de longa-metragem com “All through the Hall” e “Hidden in the Woods II”.
Em cada festival de cinema Obscura, havia convidados que apresentavam seus filmes pessoalmente e estavam disponíveis para perguntas e respostas. Eles vinham da Irlanda, Reino Unido, Bélgica, Finlândia, Dinamarca, Espanha, Grécia, Hungria, Holanda, EUA, Argentina, México, Colômbia e, claro, Alemanha.
Em 2024, houve um número recorde de convidados de 7 países diferentes, além de “The Witch”. Revenge”, um filme de terror de guerra ucraniano que foi filmado durante e sobre a guerra atual.

During this "Road Map Film Festival" many other public screenings in various nice cities and locations are included. We need many months (like 4/6 months) to select the best creative talented visionary audiovisual change makers (from the launch of the Premiere Screening Party to Winner Award Celebration Party) .
We get our time (nobody is on a rush in our team) to discover not only the real story behind the film, but also who is the filmmaker. So the film festival team follows a scheduled selection process with detailed communication techniques, with the main focus not only to better enhance the creative talent of each filmmaker, but also to help the filmmaker launch the best positive message to a worldwide audience.
And obviously all awarded films are published in the special online section called the "Hall of Fame".
This is a long lasting section where the profile of the filmmaker is promoted with the winner awarded film, during the special event called "The Dream Machine".
The Social Machinery Film Festival is focused on the promotion of alternative audiovisual film productions across the globe.

O Festival “Corto di sera” acontece em agosto em Itala, na província de Messina, desde 2012.
A participação no Festival é gratuita e aberta a todos os autores italianos e estrangeiros, cineastas solteiros ou coletivos/associações.
- O Festival é dedicado exclusivamente a curtas-metragens que duram menos de 25 minutos.
- Qualquer gênero será aceito (documentário, ficção, animação clássica e/ou digital)
- Todas as obras estrangeiras filmadas em qualquer idioma que não seja o italiano devem ser legendadas em italiano. Os curtas-metragens estrangeiros não legendados não serão selecionados.
- Cada autor pode inscrever até um máximo de três trabalhos.
- Os organizadores se reservam a possibilidade de criar seções adicionais.
O objetivo do Festival é promover a produção independente de curtas-metragens em todas as suas formas como uma linguagem artística e expressiva. O objetivo de criar um evento anual na Itália, onde cineastas, cineastas, profissionais ou entusiastas do cinema possam se encontrar e conectar diferentes experiências.

Um futuro incerto deixa bem claro que a flexibilidade de adaptação é fundamental para a sobrevivência. Nesses termos, Morbido 2021 terá uma identidade híbrida. O festival terá lugar no canal de TV paga Morbido TV, on-line, um drive-in e espero nos cinemas, respeitando plenamente as diretrizes sanitárias da Cidade do México.
Devido à pandemia e às actuais restrições sanitárias, não poderemos acolher convidados internacionais nem nacionais, mas sublinhamos que todas as nossas sessões serão acompanhadas de sessões de perguntas e respostas com os cineastas em nossa seleção. Estas sessões serão transmitidas pela Morbido TV e seu aplicativo durante o festival.

The Mediterranean Film Festival in Široki Brijeg is characteristic for a unique atmosphere – a mixture of relaxed fun, tourism, rhythm and films. Hence the Festival quickly became the favourite of film workers and audience. Those who once feel the scent of the Mediterranean in this little town of film, shall always return to it. In front of the hall where the projections are going on there is always an interesting atmosphere, and after the projections there is always fun and dancing to the rhythms of urban music till late hours. The Festival is the initiator of the new relations within the world of culture, there is no elitism in it, no VIP boxes, no privileges. Within the last ten years we have succeeded to create an atmosphere in which no one feels alienated, inferior or less invited to be a part of the event.
MFF is the oldest festival of documentary film in the region considering that only documentary films compete here and the largest part of the program is based on documentaries. This is one of the rare festivals that has money prizes for the winners of the festival and in that way helps them to create new film projects. The School of Film Culture with relevant lecturers is being organized within the very MFF. A short documentary film is created every year at the MFF workshop, which we screen at the closure of the festival.
Besides the film projections there are also other programs offered at MFF. First of all the touristic ones, where a new branch, unknown untill now in Hercegovina, is developed – the cultural tourism. Within the tourism part there are the tours visiting the most interesting sites in Hercegovina which might be used as the locations for films shooting. Visits to the most significant touristic potentials of Hercegovina (Međugorje and Mostar) are also organized. We meet the guests of the festival to the exceptional archaeological localities and introduce them with the potentials of ethno tourism. In cooperation with the Tourist Board we get our guests acquainted with the Hercegovinian gastronomy – an extraordinary cuisine that has preserved the ancient taste and has not subdued to the modern culinary novelties, and belongs to a very healthy nutrition.
Mediterranean Film Festival lasts for six days, and all our guests, never mind from which part of the Mediterranean they might come, shall wish to come back again here.
NOCTURNA MADRID, Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantástico é o Festival mais importante de seu tipo realizado na cidade de Madrid.
The Villamayor de Cine European Short Film Festival was born in 2008 in the charming village of Villamayor de Santiago, located in the province of Cuenca. Its main mission from the beginning has been to create a space where short films take center stage and young directors have a chance to shine.
Every August, the festival comes to life through the dedication of a team of over forty young professionals. Under the guidance of its founder, Javier Alonso, they work tirelessly to bring the best of European short cinema to Villamayor de Santiago.
Renowned Spanish actor Jesús Guzmán served as the festival’s Honorary President until his passing in 2023. In his memory, the award for Best Fiction Short Film now bears his name, keeping his legacy alive in the film world.
The festival is hosted by acclaimed actor and presenter Luis Mottola, whose professionalism and charisma add great value to the event. Mottola holds a special affection for Villamayor, and the town, in turn, holds him in high regard. @luismottola
