The 34th Message to Man International Festival of documentary, short live-action, animated, and experimental films is scheduled to take place from 18 to 27 October 2024 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
With its history spanning three decades of cinema development, Message to Man was founded in 1989 in Leningrad by filmmaker Mikhail Litvyakov, who now serves as the Honorary President of the Festival.
In 2010, Alexei Uchitel, a renowned director of documentaries and feature films, assumed the role of the Festival's President.
Over the years, the Festival has hosted distinguished figures of world cinema, including Werner Herzog, Ulrich Seidl, Claude Lanzmann, Isabelle Huppert, Fanny Ardant, Agnès Varda, Mira Nair, Paolo Sorrentino, Alan Berliner, Eric Roberts, Jonathan Rosenbaum, Abdellatif Kechiche, Udo Kier, and many others.
The Festival programme revolves around three competitions: international, national, and experimental, providing a platform for both full-length and short films to vie for the Festival's Grand Prix. Message to Man consistently draws thousands of cinema enthusiasts to St. Petersburg each year.
In 2023, the Festival attracted over 10,000 spectators, and its competition and out-of-competition programmes featured around 200 films from across the globe.

We believe that was the reason why in 2023 the Festival attracted so many viewers. So, when people scrambled to get tickets for the screenings, it was, quite honestly, very heartwarming and important. This wasn't just about the sold-out tickets, but about solidarity.
It was equally important to bring together filmmakers from various countries: auteurs from Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Greece, India, Colombia, and Japan visited the Festival, emphasizing its global reach.

The CPIMFF is a monthly international film festival born in Salerno (Italy)

The "Golden Flower Award" Beijing International Children's Film Festival, supported by the Children's Science Education Committee of China's largest children's culture and art promotion association, started in 2018 and has been running for 4 years. NEZ International Film Festival (NIFF) stands for best of world cinemas in the categories of Feature Films, Short Films, Documentaries Films and Ad Films. A platform of NIFF is meant for bringing undiscovered pure talents before a larger audience of the world.
NIFF is an umbrella; it is a conglomeration of niche festivals under one category. We treat the entire event as a visual carnival. NIFF always Endeavour to create something new, something Path breaking. It strives to recognize and to reward challenging aspects of cinema in all its forms. To celebrate the impact of cinema in modern age, NIFF is proud to announce a complete new category from this year “The Smart Phone Cinema”. We would be accepting movies in The Student Category and The Professional Category. The movie has to be a minimum of 4 minutes and maximum of 15 minutes. Every entry has to be accompanied by shooting Stills, substantiating the movie was indeed shot using the smart phone.
2. NIFF GREENS
That which is Paramount is also fragile. What better example we can have of this fact other than the Planets Eco System or the Environment. Sadly the most Paramount things behind the survival of humans are also most abused by the same humans. We stand at a dangerous point. Our Abuse of the Planet’s Environment is leading us to sure extinction. We need to raise awareness of that. Here at NIFF, we understand the Issue so much that we have created a separate category under the main festival Titled “NIFF GREENS”. It will showcase, any movie, shorts feature or documentary that highlights the issue of Environment.
Cinema allows us to meet. The cinema makes it possible to travel kilometers in seconds, and move in time regardless of the time. Get to know other cultures, feel close despite the distances.
For 18 years, the Lapacho Latin American Short Film Festival has strengthened its roots with the exhibition of regional, national and international short films, sharing experiences and promoting meetings between filmmakers from the province of Chaco to the country and the world.
The 2022 edition will take place in mixed mode: in person and virtually simultaneously. Sitges - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia presents its third call for the creation of a short teaser within the WomanInFan program (Sitges FanLab). This initiative aims to promote the visibility and inclusion of women creators in fantastic cinematography by proposing the creation of a piece for circulation in the audiovisual market, serving as a sample of an idea for a fantastic genre feature film.
WomanInFan expands its scope to film production to support the work of female filmmakers within the fantastic genre industry.
The Evaluation Committee will select 10 projects from all submissions, of which there will be one winner.
