O Anima-São - Festival Internacional de Animação da cidade de São Gonçalo (RJ) - é uma atividade para congregar todos os amantes do Cinema de Animação na Região do Recôncavo da Baía de Guanabara.
O Cinema (a chamada 7ª Arte) tem uma divisão, o Cinema de Animação, que por sua vez se sub-divide em Animação 2D, Animação 3D, “Pixilation”, “Stop-Motion” e várias outras técnicas. Uma produção pode ser feita com uma ou várias destas. O uso da Animação é tão difundido que nem se percebe sua ação nas produções audiovisuais contemporâneas.
O Festival Anima-São tem por objetivo demonstrar a produção atual dessas técnicas, utilizadas por vários produtores no Mundo inteiro. O Festival Anima-São traz para a cidade de São Gonçalo o melhor da Animação Nacional e Internacional.
As Oficinas do Festival são ocasiões de contato entre as pessoas e as técnicas. São oportunidades de mostrar ou mesmo descobrir seu talento próprio.
As Mesas de Debate do Festival são momentos de ver de perto os produtores renomados de filmes e representantes de empresas que produzem o que vimos na Mídia. Nessas ocasiões a interatividade da platéia é o elemento mais importante.
O Coliseu é o momento que ficamos cara-a-cara com uma “fera”, isto é, uma grande personalidade da área. De perto para aprender com sua experiência e termos alegria de olhar para talvez nosso ideal de profissão.
A Sessão Papagoiaba é característica do Festival: produções feitas em São Gonçalo por gonçalenses. Aqui se produz Cultura!

The Los Angeles Philippine International Film Festival to be from October 7, 8, and 9th, 2016 at the Cinemark Theater in Carson, California.
The Mission of the Los Angeles Philippine International Film Festival (LAPIFF) is to work for the advancement, development and to showcase Filipino Filmmakers/Artists around the world through film, providing the global community of entertainment professionals and film goers with consistent annual screening events and workshops. LAPIFF provides charitable scholarships and a forum where Filipino Filmmakers/Artists can be recognized for their gifts, have open discussions about their movies and connect with industry professionals for understanding on production, distribution, representation and acquirement.
We project around 5000 to 7000 participants in the LAPIFF and the event will be covered by international television channels, local newspapers and the local cable stations subscribed to by the Filipino American community based in Los Angeles as well as across the United States.
ELIGIBILITY:
The Los Angeles Philippine International Film Festival accepts films and media works that are made by OR about FILIPINOS of any nationality (i.e. those who are of FILIPINO ancestry whose citizenship is that of another country). If film is spoken in a Filipino Dialect, Tagalog, or Other Foreign Language, subtitles in English must be shown on the screen. All films from diverse ethnicities, nationalities, lengths and genres will be considered.
Feature Film duration: 80 to 150 minutes maximum
Short Film duration: 30 minutes maximum

Each year, our festival takes place in Paris during the springtime, which is not only a beautiful season but also an exciting time of year for ÉCU, because that is when we showcase roughly around 60 of the World’s very best independent films. Although ÉCU emphasises European talent, it also recognises the genius of international filmmakers with several categories allocated to non-European films.
The next ÉCU, the 21st edition, will take place on April, 2026 in Paris, France.
ÉCU isn’t just about screening an amazing slate of films over its three-day event in Paris. There are also professional workshops led by experts in the industry, Q&A’s held with the attending filmmakers after every screening session and a chance to network with fellow filmmakers, producers, agents, industry representatives, prospective film buyers and, of course, the cinema-loving public. At ÉCU, there is a dialogue focusing on celebrating but also critiquing the world’s best indie cinema of today.
Though ÉCU’s main event IS the three-day festival in Paris each spring, there is even more! Thanks to our 50+ partner festivals, partner organisations, film centres and film commissions, ÉCU goes on an annual world tour called ÉCU-On-The-Road. This gives award-winning films (as well as many of the Official Selection films) the opportunity for their films to reach a broader, global, international audience.
ÉCU-On-The-Road showcased films in over 80 countries around the globe in 2016 to 2025 at special ÉCU mini-festivals, partner festivals, cultural institutions and film schools, including an amazing seven day special festival in São Paulo, Brazil. The event was made possible through the support of Caixa Cultural, São Paulo and was a huge success. The Acharya Tulsi Short Film Festival (ATSFF) will use the power of film makers to further the cause of Peace, Harmony, Social justice, Meditation, Social taboo and Environment on earth. From the outset, the ATSFF envisioned “peace” not as the absence of conflict but as a framework for channelizing, processing and resolving conflicts through respectful and non-violent means.The ATSFF, the primary project of Acharya Tulsi Shanti Pratishthan, is a non-profit festival established to celebrate and encourage the work of independent filmmakers from around the country on the theme of peace, harmony, social justice, meditation, social taboo and environment. ATSFF aims to contribute towards culture of peace, non-violence, harmony, social justice, meditation through cinema, dialogue and programming highlighting the individuals on the vanguard of peace activism and social change.ATSFF works to connect expression – artistic, political, social and personal – to positive, respectful vehicles for action and change. The festival program is carefully curated to create a place for open dialogue, using the films as catalysts for change.

The Costa Blanca International Film Festival is a two day event held at the San Miguel de Salinas Nueva Taberna in the heart of the Costa Blanca. The festival has screenings of films in many genres from international filmmakers and is free entry to the public

Filmmakers are invited to submit their films is any genre and any length. Selected films will be eligible for award nomination. Winning films are screened at the festival with filmmakers invited to attend the awards ceremony and Q&A sessions.
