The International Silent Film Festival wants to celebrate the possibilities of cinema as an art of entertainment, education and emancipation of the public, reclaiming the narratives of glances, dramatic gestures, musical accompaniment and even the importance of intertitles for contemporary filmmakers to be inspired.
Das MACAU INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL („FESTIVAL“) ist ein jährliches weltweites audiovisuelles Festival, das Kurzfilm- und Musikvideoproduktionen aus dem Ausland und Macau dazu motivieren soll, an diesem FESTIVAL teilzunehmen.
Das Festival umfasst zwei separate Wettbewerbe:
- SHORTS Internationaler Kurzfilm-Wettbewerb
- VOLUME Internationaler Musikvideowettbewerb
„SHORTS“ zeichnet die besten Kurzfilme in den drei Kategorien Fiktion, Dokumentarfilm und Animation aus. Und „VOLUME“ zeichnet das beste preisgekrönte Musikvideo mit Originalmusik aus Macau aus. Eine Liste der Originalsongs aus Macau steht auf der WEBSITE des Festivals zum Download zur Verfügung, die speziell für VOLUME bestimmt ist.
SHORTS kann vom 16. März bis 31. Mai 2025 eingereicht werden, und VOLUME kann vom 16. März bis 20. Juli 2025 eingereicht werden.
Das Festival war früher als „Sound & Image Challenge“ bekannt und wurde erstmals 2010 ins Leben gerufen und konzentrierte sich ausschließlich auf einen audiovisuellen Wettbewerb für lokale Talente. Diese Initiative wurde gemeinsam mit Fachleuten aus den Bereichen Film, Musik, Ton und Bild gegründet und verfolgt zwei Prioritäten: Förderung der Kreativwirtschaft im audiovisuellen Sektor und Förderung lokaler Talente bei der Produktion von Ton- und Bewegtbilddesign. Im Laufe der Jahre expandierte es auf 5 Kontinente, wuchs und erlangte Anerkennung und wurde schließlich 2015 zu einem Kurzfilmfestival.
Das Festival findet vom 2. bis 10. Dezember 2025 statt. Während der Festivalwoche wird an verschiedenen Orten in Macau eine Reihe von kulturellen Programmen angeboten, darunter öffentliche Vorführungen der offiziellen Auswahl von „SHORTS“ und der offiziellen Auswahl der Musikvideos von „VOLUME“, Meisterkurse für Filmproduktion, -entwicklung, Kuratorschaft und Organisation des Internationalen Filmfestivals, Publikumsabstimmungen für „Audience Choice“ sowie eine Gala-Preisverleihung.
Das von den kolumbianischen Schauspielern Toto Vega und Nórida Rodríguez ins Leben gerufene Barichara Green Film Festival FESTIVER hat zum Ziel, eine neue Generation von Künstlern und Zuschauern aufzubauen, die sich für die Umwelt engagieren. Durch seine Vorführungen und die kontinuierliche Suche nach Ressourcen für die Erstellung umweltfreundlicher Filminhalte möchte FESTIVER Bildung und Unterhaltung bieten, indem es akademische, künstlerische und Freizeitaktivitäten entwickelt, die die kolumbianische Kulturlandschaft bereichern und zum Aufbau einer besseren Welt beitragen. Die 15. Ausgabe findet vom 25. bis 28. September 2025 in Barichara, Santander, Kolumbien statt.

The Vieques International Film Festival 2017 is designed to provide exposure to filmmakers of Puerto Rican, Hispanic, and Latino heritage. As a privately held public event created by the Brittany Dance, Film & Theatre Foundation (a Federal 501(c)3 non-profit bringing Arts education in dance, film, and theatre to the people of Vieques), all proceeds aside from the costs of running the Festival will go directly towards the operation of the Brittany and to continuing to bring more and more classes in the Arts to the local population. It is the hope that The Vieques International Film Festival will become an annual event and that it will help bring light to the possibility of the Arts world to those on the Island whom have not yet had the opportunity to experience it, furthering the goals of providing learning and personal growth through the Arts to all on the Island who wish to have access to it.

Beim B-Retina Festival wollen wir eine Plattform für B-Movies aller Art werden, vom Guerilla-Trash-Kino bis hin zu nicht klassifizierbaren Kultmeisterwerken.
