El cine permite que nos encontremos. El cine hace posible recorrer kilómetros en segundos, y movernos en el tiempo sin importar la época. Conocer otras culturas, sentirnos cerca a pesar de las distancias.
Hace 18 años, el Festival Latinoamericano de Cortometrajes Lapacho afianza sus raíces con la exhibición de cortometrajes regionales, nacionales e internacionales, compartiendo experiencias y propiciando encuentros entre realizadores desde la provincia de Chaco hacia el país y el mundo.
La edición 2022 se desarrollará en modalidad mixta: presencialmente y de manera virtual simultáneamente. Además de las funciones en sala respetando las medidas de cuidado y prevención, y por tercer año consecutivo, el Festival sucederá virtualmente a través de la página www.cine.chaco.gob.ar, donde estará disponible la grilla completa, las charlas, talleres y clases magistrales.
Como siempre intentaremos propiciar el encuentro entre realizadorxs, sus proyectos y perspectivas hacia el futuro. Lxs actores y actrices, lxs productores, lxs técnicos, y también a las otras artes integradas en diversas formas tendrán su espacio en esta fiesta del cine. Y por supuesto, el lugar destacado será siempre para el público que nos acompañe desde las butacas y desde la comodidad de sus hogares.
AMDocs es uno de los festivales de documentales y animación más grandes de los Estados Unidos. Estamos ubicados en la hermosa Palm Springs, no muy lejos de la capital de los medios de comunicación de Hollywood. Nos enorgullece compartir el mejor entorno de visualización tanto para nuestro público como para los cineastas.

The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival (SFFFF) is a Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2006 that is dedicated to creating avenues for independent filmmakers, youth, filmmakers of conscience, and artists from underserved communities to come together and exhibit their work to the widest possible audience.
The San Francisco Frozen Film Festival is held every summer in the heart of the Mission district in San Francisco at the Roxie Theatre. Filmmakers whose work is accepted into the festival are invited to come to the city by the bay in the dead of summer to screen and discuss their work.
In addition to our annual international film festival, the SFFFF Youth Program is specifically focused on demonstrating to underserved youth that existing pathways do exist to help them find a career in the film arts. SFFFF holds annual music and art performances, as well as youth programming and awards presentations.
El Festival internacional de cortometrajes La mida no importa tiene la finalidad de difundir la cultura cinematográfica.
A veces se nos advierte que si “el tamaño no importa” tendríamos que seleccionar y mostrar obras audiovisuales sin límite de duración, y quizás no se los falta razón. A nosotros, pero, nos gusta pensar que las cosas no tienen que ser demasiado grandes para ser importantes, bonitas, necesarias o decisivas y esta es la filosofía que vayamos aplicando desde casi la primera edición de este Festival.
Reivindicamos las obras de corta duración porque creemos que se puede descubrir el ingenio concentrado en un corto espacio temporal. Este objetivo es el motivo que nos mueve y nos impulsa a continuar buscando y hurgando en las propuestas que nos llegan para hacer una selección de temática, tipología y género bastante diferente para mostrar el abanico de posibilidades expresivas del relato corto.

The MOSTRA INTERNACIONAL DE CINEMA DA AMAZÔNIA, MICA (International Film Festival) , was created in late 2013 by two Amazonian filmmakers, in order to promote world cinema in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, raising Amazonian landscapes, cuisine, culture and the exchange between filmmakers.
Competitive and non-competitive exhibitions in Online platforms and views in theaters and film city will be developed.
Making Waves Film Festival takes film out of the cinema to promote entertaining, immersive, engaging and challenging film events delivered through a combination of film, performance and the use of an exciting range of venues. Making Waves also supports and exhibits pioneering work by international talent and local independent film-makers. Making Waves supports opportunities to develop skills in film-making, distribution and events.
Now in its third year, the Making Waves Short Film Competition 2015 will be open for entries from Friday 1 May.
Film makers are encouraged to enter the Best International Film, Best National Film and Best Local Film categories with winners’ films being screened during Making Waves Film Festival week and at partner film festivals in France and Italy.
In 2014 the Making Waves Short Film Competition attracted over 250 entries from across the world. Best Film went to Irish film “I've Been A Sweeper” and Best Local Film was awarded to “History Bombs”. The competition was judged by three industry experts led by Oscar nominated short film screen writer Julian Unthank who has written multiple episodes of NEW TRICKS for the BBC and the Oscar Shortlisted short film"Love at First Site) starring John Hurt.
Confirmed partner film festivals for 2015 include Taranto and Fermo Film Festivals in Italy.

Film and Literature – a passion more than perfect
To paraphrase Freud, behind every great movie is a great argument, and behind a big argument, most often, is a great book. When Cinema was born in 1895, and had emerged as the Seventh Art, Literature (Sixth of Arts), already had long and rich history.
No wonder Cinema, characterized by it’s irreverence and ambitiousness, has turned to it’s older sister for inspiration, plots, stories and characters.
This almost umbilical connection runs through the history of cinema, as an almost perfect passion. But like all passions, there are moments of overwhelming intensity, sublime betrayals, mediocre or brilliant adaptations. Without the support of Literature, Cinema would perhaps be a hollow technique, an invention without a future. With inspiration in Literature, Cinema is a dream that is making millions of viewers worldwide dream, the great art of our time, a creative synthesis of all the arts.
Recognizing the importance of Literature in Cinema, rather than diminishing it, will only magnify it.
El Festival de Cine La Orquídea – Cuenca apunta al cine de calidad dirigido a un público diverso y privilegia un tipo de cine incluyente que genere interés en los diversos segmentos de la población y atraiga a un público de todas las edades. El Festival privilegia el género argumental sin dejar de lado películas documentales que apelen a la sensibilidad de su público. El Festival exhibe filmes de todo el mundo, sin restricciones de forma o temáticas de ningún tipo, y promueve y celebra la creación cinematográfica de nuevos realizadores.
El Festival de Cine La Orquídea – Cuenca tiene lugar en noviembre de cada año en Cuenca, Ecuador. La programación se divide en varias secciones, cuatro de ellas competitivas: Largometraje Internacional, Ópera Prima Iberoamericana, Cortometraje Ecuatoriano y una sección especial denominada “En Marcha”, diseñada para dar apoyo a cineastas ecuatorianos y latinoamericanos cuyos proyectos se encuentren en etapa de postproducción. El Festival cuenta también con una muestra de cine documental al aire libre enfocado en la música y las artes escénicas.
Les Arcs European Film Festival was created in 2009. It takes place in the world famous ski resort of Les Arcs, in the heart of the French Alps, during the opening week of the winter season, one week before Christmas.
Les Arcs European Film Festival presents 12 films in competition, 8 films in Panorama (films that have been awarded in their own country but have not been distributed in France), Premieres, a focus on an European country, films for young audience. A total of about 70 films, mostly features, mostly exclusive on the French territory.
During the week 3 professional event are also taking place :
- The Film School Village : 5 to 10 European film schools invited, represented by a director and a producer just awarded.
- The Coproduction Village : 26 projects are selected to be presented to producers, buyers, distributors, regional funds... A total of about 270 participants. Also programmed, a Work in Progress screening.
- The DIRE Days : the French distributors of DIRE are showing their line-up to a hundred of French films exhibitors.
In addition to that, a ski competition is organized (the European Cinema Ski Cup), parties, concerts, meetings with the films team, "pitching on chairlifts"... A great atmosphere, a great place to make business, a great place to watch European films, in a unique surrounding.
El Festival 30 Dies es un pequeño festival centrado en el género fantástico que se lleva a cabo en Andorra, un pequeño país situado entre España y Francia. En 2014 tuvimos nuestra primera edición con la exhibición de 14 películas a lo largo del mes de noviembre en dos sedes distintas. Nuestro festival acepta cualquier film que contenga elementos fantásticos, desde thrillers a documentales, pasando por películas de terror sobrenaturales, de criaturas o incluso comedias. Si tienen un elemento fantástico, este es tu festival. En la edición de este año tenemos dos categorías:
Largometrajes y Cortometrajes.
En el Festival 30 Dies nos fascinan las películas indies, por este motivo aceptamos films grabados en cualquier formato y con cualquier presupuesto.
