Live Entertainment, LLC, Russia in co-operation with EVENT FILM, Canada proudly present an annual festival event – International Horror, Action and Fantastic Film Festival & Awards "DROP".
The festival is being annually held in the city of Moscow since the year 2011 and contains 4 events:
- opening screening
- closing awards ceremony
- master-class and Q&A with movie stars
- film festival competition program screenings in cinema theatres
The Awards ceremony takes place in a big concert venue (changing every year) and consists of the show program and the ceremony of granting awards which is divided into the following jury voting categories:
- awards granted to local film distribution companies for the blockbusters screened in cinema theatres of Russia in the reported year;
- awards granted to young directors and producers as competition program. The category is called “Hope for Survival”;
- awards granted to World stars for the contribution to horror genre
The Awards ceremony is always visited and recorded by a large number of mass media.
The Master-class is a so-called Q&A horror convention held in a cinema theatre in a form of a question-answer session between the star guests of the festival and the audience + autograph session. The event usually ends with a premier film screening.
The festival program is a week non-stop screening of new movies in several Moscow cinema theatres. The films-participants of the competition program are being selected by the festival’s jury. Submissions are being analysed and accepted by the festival's organization committee during the whole year.
The festival's schedule usually also contains a pre-party and an after-party arranged for the honored guests and winners.
The TV version of the festival is televised by Tricolor TV platform.
The festival specializes in all sub-genres of horror and action film industry, i.e.: cartoon horror, comedy horror, psychological thriller, trash horror, zombie horror, giallo, slasher, suspense, detective, action, fantasy, sci-fi etc. Starting from the year 2013 the festival also specializes in survival horror video games sphere.
The festival is annually visited in person by World-known honored guests. Villanueva Showing Festival is an International Short Film Festival for young people between 15 and 25 years old, organized by Universidad Villanueva. This initiative aims to encourage young people to reflect on universal human values through audiovisual language. For this reason, each edition challenges the young cinematographic promises to create their own piece on a specific theme based on a universal value.

Busan International Short Film Festival (BISFF) was launched in 1980 as the Korean Short Film Festival.

POUR FAIRE COURT is a film festival based in Lyon, France. The fifth edition will take place on 1st of February 2023.
Every year for the last five years, the Short Event association has organized a short film festival in Lyon: "Pour Faire Court". This event, using the codes of the seventh art as vectors of emotion and sharing, invites you to discover a specific program of short films, according to a defined theme. This year, we invite you to express your passion, around the theme “When passion is expressed!” in the sense of what touches the guts, what transcends, what inspires, what is transmitted. Thanks to the visual works projected, we wish to transmit the love of cinema, the passion of the emotion through art, and especially the sharing that brings the discovery of new talents. A meeting around a cocktail will then be proposed to encourage sharing between enthusiasts and artists.

The Fugitif Short Film Festival is an international festival of competitive short films. This event, thanks to a high-level selection, responds to a desire to offer a quality artistic and cultural experience. Since 2021, this event has been taking place at the renowned cinema Utopia, in the heart of Avignon.
The festival explores three themes - The Night, The Light and LGBTQIA+ - and includes all cinematic styles: fiction, live action, animation, documentary, experimental and more.

The projection takes place at the Utopia cinema and will be inaugurated by a concert.

The Official Section. All feature films whose content might be considered as belonging to such the horror or fantastic genre can take part in the competition.
SHORT FILMS
Participation in the competition is on an international level.
Only one work per director will be accepted. Short films must not exceed 20 minutes in length (including credits).
All Short films must have been produced after January 1st 2023.
All films must be presented in their original language, with spanish subtitles. By "original language" is meant the language in which a film is or will be exhibited in its country of origin.

The GEH Short Film Competition is a short film competition on human rights held in different localities of Gipuzkoa (Basque Country).
This competition is part of the global project human rights Giza Eskubideak Herrira
(Bringing human rights to the people.). The GEH is a human rights awareness project
created by the dar-dar Productions cooperative in 2015. The first editions were based in
Ordizia. In 2023, the festival has developed and extended to several towns in Gipuzkoa
(Euskal Herria).
The main objective of this competition is to raise awareness and educate on human rights.
Because this short film contest is a window that we open to the world, and from that
window we can see the different realities that people live in different parts of the planet. In
view of these realities, we intend to encourage reflection on human rights violations in
different parts of the world.
Awards:
Whatever the format is, all films will compete on equal terms.
First prize 1000€ for the best short film.
Second prize 500€.
Special Award "Arteria Award" 400€ for Vasque Country's best short film.

The "Fiorenzo Serra" Visual Anthropology Laboratory, managed by the Department of History, Human Sciences and Education of the University of Sassari (from now on, called "Department") and the Società Umanitaria - Cineteca Sarda (from now on, called “Film Archive“), as part of a project aimed at enhancing public awareness of the director, filmmaker and ethnologist Fiorenzo Serra, announce for the year 2023 the Competition for ethnographic film productions titled “Fiorenzo Serra Film Festival”. The definition “film production" (from now on, “film”) means any audiovisual product, a documentary film, produced using analogue or digital technologies. The competition aims to promote the production of films that can contribute to the awareness of ethnographic cultural realities through the audiovisual medium and pursues the objective of protecting and implementing, in a scientific and systematic manner, national and foreign audiovisual productions concerning the ethnographic, archaeological, historical, cultural-linguistic and environmental heritages.
