The ABP FLY MOVIES 2016 event organized by the Brazilian Association of Paragliding, will take place simultaneously to the 22nd Clinical & Paragliding Brazilian Congress on days 18, 19 and 20 November 2016 in the city of São Pedro - SP and is an open festival both professional and amateur filmmakers.
Films are accepted, animations, documentaries or visual montages whose theme is air sports of the following ways: paragliding, hang gliding, paramotor, trike, paratrayk, parachuting, speedy fly, ballooning, wingsuit, glider, base jump, kite, model airplanes, boomerang, aerobatic airplanes and / or helicopters. Also films will be accepted whose theme is the flight of a bird.

Women in Focus emerged in 2009 with the aim of encouraging the promotion and protection of women's rights through film, through the dissemination of films that allow give visibility to the violation of their rights and encourage debate. In this way he sought to create an open standard for men and women around the world space where open dialogue between genres and promote the active participation of the whole society to defend the full exercise of human rights, with a focus on the situation women in the world. They worked on a broad call, unlimited sex, age or origin, and with the conviction that change is possible only from the inclusion of attention.
The axis of Women in Focus is on the woman and her history of violations, to disseminate and denounce the naturalization of the unjust conditions they are facing, and give visibility to the diversity of social, cultural experiences and forms of organization, aiming thinking about other possible worlds. Through films about women also understand and discuss the construction of gender and how it is all of society we seek.
FICUNAM, the UNAM International Film Festival, was founded by the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2011. The intention of the Festival is to promote the exhibition in Mexico of critical and innovative cinema, both domestic and foreign, in a space open to reflection, discussion of ideas, and networking. The editorial line of the Festival represents its political stance, in terms of aesthetics’ politics.

The 14th Torino Underground Cinefest will take place in late September 2027 at the splendid "Cinema Baretti", in the heart of "San Salvario", one of the city’s most vibrant districts. Once again, this edition confirms the partnership with the distribution company "Piano B", which will ensure theatrical and television distribution of selected feature films and documentaries deemed most suitable for commercialization. Thanks to the collaboration with "Streeen!", several selected titles will also have the opportunity to be distributed via streaming.
In addition, the festival is pleased to continue its partnership with Sooner.de, which will once again provide distribution opportunities for selected films on its platform, as well as on Amazon in Germany, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and the United States, offering filmmakers further international exposure and audience reach.

The New York State International Film Festival is located in the heart of New York, Albany!
Since 2016, we have screened 478 short films from all around the globe.
We have connected filmmakers with their audiences through short films each year, and we'd like to thank everyone for joining us! We continue to aspire to become one of the greatest film festivals in the nation. We are an international short film festival. The festival invites people from all over the Capital Region of New York and all over the world. Everyone is welcome to submit their short films. We support students and first-time filmmakers too. We encourage all types of documentaries, animation, drama, comedy, experimental, music videos and horror short films.
Films will be viewed during the festival by the public. We have Q/A Panels throughout the festival. Our greatest goal is to celebrate the art with you and your viewing audience, so it's important that you have fun in the process!
The Exposure Short Film Festival returns for it's 2nd year on February 11th 2017!
Hosted by the University of Glasgow's Queen Margaret Union, the festival aims to give amateur filmmakers the opportunity to show off their wonderful work to a wider audience, receive feedback from experienced judges, and have the chance to win the coveted Best Picture award trophy, as well as a range of other prizes. PAFF has been in existence since 2003 originating in Post Alley, Seattle, WA, (in Pike Place Market) and didn't happen every year between then and now. 2025 was our 15th Edition. And we persevere.
Post Alley Film Festival screens at SIFF Film Center (at Seattle International Film Festival*) which rests on the traditional homelands of the Coast Salish People.

The purpose of the Bogotá Music Video Festival is to celebrate the art of music video, the joy of music and the passion for filmmaking.
We bring the music video art to different screens around Bogotá and top that with live music, exhibitions and academic and industry events. We want to showcase independent and fierce work to new audiences, focusing on the potential of awe brought by the communion between music and moving images.
Medrar for Contemporary Art launches its call for the 11th edition of Cairo Video Festival, which will be held in December 2024. The festival continues its focus on providing a platform for sharing and discussing newly produced video art and experimental film. Programs will be screened in conventional and non-conventional venues, in theater and exhibition spaces to promote, expand and harvest attention to the practice.
The 11th edition of Cairo Video Festival culminates many steps and stages that represent our experiences with video art and experimental film, and also summarizes our recurrent inquiries about the relationship between artistic expression and the reality we live in, the current events and our eagerness to experiment and add new and different values with each edition. It is an opportunity that we yearn for with every edition to witness these innovations, experiences and new concepts from around the world, and to share them with the public.
The call for submission is directed towards video artists and experimental filmmakers from various technical fields. We also encourage designers and developers who work in the fields of virtual reality, animation, interactive softwares, and artistic games via the Internet, computers or smartphones to respond to the call. Likewise, those who emphasize the use of the moving image in their installations or live performances. Curators and institutions involved in the production and distribution of video art and experimental film are encouraged to submit their programs. The festival’s program takes the format of a series of showcases, accompanied by talks and discussions with active video-makers and curators to tackle some of the key themes and issues addressed in the works.

AnimArte Festival: A global stage for student and professional animators.
The AnimArte Festival is dedicated exclusively to animated short films !!
The maximum duration for each film is 15 minutes.
AnimArte is an international festival of animated films made by children, young people, and professionals, aimed at young audiences.
In 2026, the 19th edition of AnimArte will be held, and the festival will celebrate its 25th anniversary. It will take place in October in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
For international students (around the world), there are two competitive categories: Maxi (for animated films made by students aged 18 or older) and Mini (for animated films made by students under 18).
For international professionals, there are two categories: “Environmental Films” and “World Cultures.”
Selected films will be screened according to the program prepared by the festival’s organizing team.
If a film contains dialogue in a language other than Portuguese, a text file with the dialogue in English (preferably with timecode) must be submitted to: animarte@vouanimarte.com.br
A version of the film with English subtitles is welcome to facilitate translation and subtitling into Portuguese; however, the version to be screened at the festival must be submitted without subtitles.
There are also two exclusive categories (for animated short films only) for students enrolled in educational institutions in Brazil: Maxi (university students) and Mini (high school and elementary school students).
