Das Addis International Film Festival (AIFF) ist ein jährliches Filmfestival, das 2007 von der Initiative Africa ins Leben gerufen wurde und in Addis Abeba, Äthiopien, stattfindet. Das Festival ist das größte unabhängige Dokumentarfilmfestival in Afrika und wurde als einzigartige Initiative gegründet, die darauf abzielt, die Macht von Dokumentarfilmen zu nutzen, um innovative Wege zur Sensibilisierung für soziale Themen zu unterstützen.
Das Festival ist eine feierliche und lehrreiche Veranstaltung, die eine sorgfältig kuratierte Auswahl von Filmen von erfahrenen und aufstrebenden Filmemachern zeigt, die sich mit einer Vielzahl von Themen wie Friedenskonsolidierung, Ungleichheit, Stärkung von Frauen, Kinderrechten und vielem mehr befassen.
Die 18. Ausgabe des Addis International Film Festival (AIFF). Als etablierte Sozialaktivistin Äthiopiens veranstaltet Initiative Africa vom 15. bis 19. Mai 2024 ein fünftägiges Dokumentarfilmfestival mit mehr als 30 lokalen und internationalen Filmen zu den Themen Aktion für Frieden, Sicherheit und Versöhnung, Gleichstellung der Geschlechter und Inklusivität, Ernährungs- und Umweltsicherheit sowie Gesundheitswesen, das in der Alliance Ethio-Française, dem Hager Fikir Theater, dem Goethe-Institut Äthiopien und dem italienischen Kulturinstitut in Addis Abeba.
Das Publikum des Festivals besteht hauptsächlich aus Jugendlichen und gebildeten Menschen, die den Mut haben, ihre Gesellschaft zu verändern. Wir zeigen die Filme kostenlos, ohne dass für den Eintritt eine Zahlung erforderlich ist.
Die Ausschreibungen werden für das Neum Animated Film Festival 2024 eingereicht.

Animationsfilme (Dauer 15 Minuten) können teilnehmen. Der Autor kann 3 Filme melden. Filme, die Rassismus und Pornografie propagieren, nehmen nicht am Wettbewerbsprogramm teil. Alle Anmeldungen müssen als Nächstes erfüllt sein: 1. HD-Datei von Film 2. Ausgefülltes und unterschriebenes Anmeldeformular 3. Fotografie und Biographie des Regisseurs 4. 3 Fotos aus dem Film (mindestens) 5. Erklärung des Autors, ob er bereit ist, während des Camps mit Kindern zu arbeiten.

Festival organisiert durch den Verein RStyle,
und findet in Paris statt, die vom 7. bis 10. Oktober 2021 stattfinden wird, startet der Verein seinen Aufruf zur Einreichung von Einsendungen bis zum 30. Juni 2021.
Was ist der urbane Film? :“ Filme, die der Stadt und allen Praktiken und Lebensweisen gewidmet sind, die daraus entstehen. Durch urbane Filme finden wahre Geschichten, ob düster oder lustig, ihren gemeinsamen Nenner in ihrer Landschaft: die Straße, von Seoul nach Rio, vorbei an Seattle oder Ouagadougou. Die urbanen Filme entdecken die Stadt im weitesten Sinne wieder: Geschichte, Tanz, Bewegung, Gemeinschaft, Straßenkulturen, Sport, alle Aspekte der Stadt und urbane Kulturen sind vertreten.“
ACME Comedy Theatre was founded in 1989 as a place for comedians to perform and be discovered. Since then, ACME has helped launch the career of hundreds of comedy writers, directors, producers, and actors.
Today, ACME continues to be a place for comedy performers and writers to be discovered. These days though, new talent is more often discovered through online videos, so ACME developed a new screening series. The screening series is dedicated to bringing the upcoming stars of comedy video to the big screen via ACME Comedy’s own film festival.

Kan-Kan Media is pleased to announce the second edition of “A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS FESTIVAL” Shanghai.
“A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS FESTIVAL” is a unique film event that aims to bring together Chinese film and art institutions, film professionals, students and audience in Shanghai and create a platform to exchange and promote the diversity of the world cinema. During 10 days the festival will present more than 200 short films selected from more than 60 countries around the world.
“A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS” Festival is the result of the collaboration between Kan-Kan Media and Chinese art and film institutions like Minsheng Museum of Contemporary Arts in Shanghai (official host of the Festival) and Shanghai Film Art Academy. It arises from the need to create a platform for a dialogue and exchange between film professionals, students, film communities and audiences taking as a reference point Shanghai/China.
The previous edition of LWSF was a huge success with more than 2000 submissions, 200 films selected and 10 days of film screenings, workshops, talks, music concerts and dance performances attended by 1000+ film-lovers, among them film professionals, students, film communities and artists of other disciplines.
This year the focus will be on the discovery of emerging talents both internationally and in China in order to bring them into the public spotlight and offer them the opportunities for networking and a platform where ideas and work can be exchanged among a new generation of film creators worldwide.
The festival has two main categories: International Section and Chinese Section, accompanied by showcases of outstanding festivals from various countries, as well as workshops, master-classes and other special events.
All the films meeting the submission criteria will be considered for the International Short Film Competition Award for Best Short Film, Best Director, Audience and Outstanding Story Award.

Shorts@Fringe is a showcase of short films at the Azores Fringe Festival, an international arts festival in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
Program will happen in various islands from indoor to outdoor venues giving the opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their work in the Azores and also for audiences that otherwise would not have a chance to see this type of work. All type of shorts are welcome from 1 min to 15 minute long of English or Portuguese language or subtitled in one of those languages.

Women in Film
Women play an important role in filmmaking and there are many talents out there and to celebrate Women in Film we have two categories. One programme is a focus solely on Women directors, the second programme category will focus the work of women practitioners in the roles of writers, actresses, producers and Directors of Cinematography but please note the film lead roles must be female led. If you have a film that has a strong female led role or strong female writer etc and you want to be considered for this sectin of the festival please submit to the Women Practitioners category. Film Directors should submit to the Women in Film (directors category).
General Information.
Established in 1995 the festival is now in it's 16th International Shorts edition. Kinofilm has a unique reputation for showcasing the best short films from around the world, whilst being renowned for seeking out diverse, challenging and groundbreaking new films. We welcome filmmakers that are pushing the boundaries of the short film art form. The festival maintains a high standard with many European & International award-winning shorts featured in the Festival. It includes special programmes in North West Shorts (UK), British New Wave, Euro Cine, International Panorama, Kino Exposed (student and youth shorts), low/no budget shorts, Animation and various themed programmes, giving new and emerging filmmakers the opportunity to have their work screened alongside that of critically acclaimed, established short filmmakers.
Please note for 2019, the festival will move dates to February 2020. We will further welcome short films and animations from Eastern Europe as we extend the Polish festival to include more Baltic countries. This year we welcome films for this section from Romania and Russia.
As part of out 16th anniversary we are introducing a features section called Transitions for those short filmmakers that have successfully made the transition from short film to feature. This section is for previous entrants of Kinofilm Festival and can only be entered if you have previously had a short film at Kinofilm Festival. You must provide the name of the short film and year of the festival it was screened in advance of submitting..
All short films should have been completed since January 2018 to present and be no longer than 20 mins (accept documentaries which can be up to 23 mins including credits). PLEASE NOTE FILMS SHOULD NOT BE ONLINE FOR PUBLIC VIEWING. ANY FILMS THAT ARE SEEN TO BE IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN WILL FACE DISQUALIFICATION.
WE ARE OFFERING STUDENTS (world wide) , GREATER MANCHESTER FILMMAKERS, Youths and community groups, Eastern European Filmmakers and Alumni Filmmakers 20% OF ALL SUBMISSION FEES (please see offers at the top of this entry). The discount is automatically applied when you submit your film to the relevant sections, entry fees start at just $10.00 Please note PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY MUST BE SHOWN in all these categories in advance of submitting the film, you will then receive a code to submit your film.

Please note, if your film is selected for screening in one of the cinema screenings you must be able to provide either a DCP or high-quality Bluray of your film. Please contact us if any issues with this and we will try to resolve it by showing the film in one of the other programmes not requiring either of these formats. If it playing in one of our other venues then we will require a digital version, details supplied if your film is accepted.
REFUNDS GIVEN ONLY IN THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES: Please note if you make a genuine mistake and submit your film to us not realising that it does not fit all of the criteria, or you have to withdraw it for other reasons, we will refund your fee if the request is made only within the first two weeks from the date of submission. Films withdrawn later for other reasons such as you wish to withdraw it as your film has been accepted in another festival that requires premier status, will not receive a refund. (Please note that any refunds will be after FFW (8%) and PP (3.5%) commission fees already deducted from your fee, you will only be refunded the net amount that the festival receives).

Das Salento International Film Festival Feiert Filme und Filmemacher, fördert internationale Independent-Filme, in Anerkennung der Tatsache, dass Filme die stärkste Form der kulturellen Kommunikation und Verbindung zwischen Kultur und Menschen sind.
Das im Jahr 2004 von Luigi Campanile gegründete Internationale Filmfestival von Salento entstand als bedeutendes kulturelles Ereignis und Top-Filmfestival in Süditalien. Jedes Jahr führt es Filmemacher weltweit in die einzigartigen Ressourcen der Region Salento ein und feiert gleichzeitig die Geschichte und Zukunft der Filmindustrie mit 5 Tagen Weltpremieren, Sonderveranstaltungen, Seminaren, Spielfilmen, Kurzfilmen und Dokumentarfilmen.
In den letzten Jahren hat SIFF eine Welttournee organisiert und durchgeführt, die das Festival zu internationalen Destinationen wie Zürich, London, Hongkong, New York, Santiago del Cile, Moskau, San Petersburg, Oslo und mehr führt und die Veranstaltung „Best of the Fest“ präsentiert. Ein führendes internationales Filmfestival in Kathmandu, Nepal. Das Internationale Filmfestival für Menschenrechte in Nepal findet seit 2010 statt. In diesem Jahr wird das 12. Nepal Human Rights International Film Festival vom 9. bis 12. Dezember 2024 organisiert. Das diesjährige Festival steht unter dem Motto Kollektive Rechte.
Über 40 ausgewählte Filme aus der ganzen Welt, die sich mit Menschenrechtsfragen befassen, werden während des Festivals gezeigt. Auf einige Vorführungen folgt eine Diskussion mit den Filmemachern über den Film.
Die Filme werden in den folgenden Abschnitten gezeigt:
- Bereich Wettbewerb
Es wird einen Wettbewerbsbereich sowohl für nepalesische als auch für internationale Filme geben. Filme, die im Zeitraum 2023-2024 produziert wurden, können an dieser Sektion teilnehmen. Die Filme müssen auf mindestens einem Aspekt der Menschenrechte basieren. Sie könnten sowohl Spielfilme als auch Dokumentarfilme sein. Die Filme müssen alle vom Organisationskomitee festgelegten Kriterien erfüllen, um für den Wettbewerb in Frage zu kommen.
- Sondervorführung
In dieser Sektion werden Spezialfilme gezeigt, die nicht alle Kriterien des Wettbewerbs erfüllen konnten, aber wichtig sind, um Menschenrechtsfragen aufzuwerfen. In diesem Abschnitt werden auch solche Filme behandelt, die möglicherweise nicht in der anderen Sektion konkurrieren möchten. In dieser Sektion werden auch Filme von Partnern des NHRIFF gezeigt, die für die Auswahl des Festivals qualifiziert sind, aber aufgrund eines Interessenkonflikts nicht am Wettbewerb teilnehmen konnten.
- Die Augen von gestern
Klassiker aus vergangenen Jahren, die sich mit Menschenrechtsfragen befassen, werden in diesem Abschnitt gezeigt.
- Panorama der Partner
In diesem Bereich werden Filme gezeigt, die von Organisationen produziert wurden, die Partner des 12. Internationalen Filmfestivals für Menschenrechte in Nepal sind. Diese Filme werden nicht als offizielle Beiträge zum Festival anerkannt. Das Festival bietet den Partnern jedoch nur eine Plattform, auf der sie ihre Werke präsentieren können.

Now in its 16th year, Ffresh – the Student Media Awards – features the best student work from all over the world, along with masterclasses, panel sessions and workshops with some of the industry’s most renowned and respected figures.
Previous guests have included directors Stephen Frears, Mike Leigh, Sergey Dvortsevoy, Asif Kapadia, Jonathan Caouette, Matt Lipsey, Matt Lambert, and Gaston Kaboré; screenwriters Andrew Davies and Tim Firth; producers Stephen Garrett, Bethan Jones, and Sally Hibbin; highly acclaimed visual artists Lichtfaktor and Semiconductor; international FX companies The Mill and Double Negative; Oscar winning editor Jim Clark; and animators Johnny Kelly, Merlin Crossingham, Phil Mulloy, & Peter Dodd, amongst many others.
The purpose of the Awards is to celebrate the best work being created by the up-and-coming media talent from around the world, and to provide a vital link between higher education and the media industry sector.
Ffresh is a BAFTA Cymru qualifying festival.
Ffresh also runs two BFI Film Academies in South Wales for 16-19 year olds in VFX and Animation.

In March 2004 the 1st international short film festival for films by artists was held in Gstaad, Switzerland, with the ultimate prize being 'The Golden Cow of Gstaad'. For the organisers of Gstaad Film, the event was a great success: Many artists made use of the possibility to present their works at the festival & the quality of the program was high, attracting many films from Switzerland and entries from as far away as Argentina. The three days of the festival gave many possibilities for interesting contacts, not only for we the organisers, but also for a numerous and interested audience who were left excited, enthralled and enriched by the experience.
The positive reaction generated over the three-day period encouraged us to start organising a second festival. To improve the organisation and to give the participants/entrants more time, we decided to organise the festival in a two-year cycle, as a biennale.
Der unabhängige Showcase Diversity in Cannes Short Film & Web Series Showcase wurde ins Leben gerufen, um Inhaltsersteller mit unterschiedlichem Hintergrund zu ermutigen, ihre Geschichten während der Filmfestspiele von Cannes zu teilen. Er fördert die Arbeit verschiedener Filmemacher (Denken, Rasse, Geschlecht, Alter, Religion, körperliche Fähigkeiten und sexuelle Orientierung) und würdigt sie weltweit für ihre filmischen Leistungen.
Die sechs bis acht Filme und Webserien ALLER teilnahmeberechtigten Beiträge, die von Beyond Borders: Diversity in Cannes und seinen Partnern ermittelt wurden, werden im Wettbewerb berücksichtigt und im Mai 2018 im Rahmen des Diversity in Cannes Short Film & Webseries Showcase im Mai 2018 auf einer unabhängigen Veranstaltung während der Filmfestspiele von Cannes gezeigt. Die Gewinner werden von einer Jury ermittelt und im Showcase bekannt gegeben.
Während die Veranstaltungen gleichzeitig mit den Filmfestspielen von Cannes in Frankreich stattfinden, ist das Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase eine UNABHÄNGIGE VERANSTALTUNG!!!
Film For All festival is an international & independent film competition. FFA fest sees film as an art that has the power to bridge cultures, individual’s unspoken language and light up the collusion of the human involvement. This festival seeks to enhance, to educate, and to create interest the planet through the medium of film. FFA fest will support each participant for revealing their unique vision as a true masterpiece. FFA fest is highly committed of providing facilities for short and feature length films and filmmakers to express their realizations, also they will learn from fellow filmmakers, and construct their own networks for future collaborations.
Filmmakers from all across the world, students and professionals alike, will be encouraged to send their unique work which will be carefully chosen by some of the greatest minds in the industry and screened in the banner of Film For All Festival. Every year, Selection Board will award the best films of each category.
The focus is to discover and emerge international filmmaking talent, which shows originality, imagination and the ability to express the untold words. FFA will be showing the way of filmmaking along with everything which are essential for film. Every year FFA will arrange an international film festival with the great support of numerous film loving people.
The film screenings will take place in the capital city of Bangladesh. Dhaka is an emerging cultural hub in South Asia. This cultural city will take all film enthusiasts to a renowned creative environment. FFA fest is an open platform for them who are interested to share their language through lens.
HIGH COAST INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL — True Independent Films in der schwedischen High Coast.
Wir arbeiten daran, True Independent Films zu fördern — damit Filmemacher Kontakt mit ihnen haben und Menschen sehen können. Die Teilnahme am High Coast Film Festival sollte ein wertvolles und unvergessliches Erlebnis sein.
Das Festival ist eine zweitägige Veranstaltung - Freitag und Samstag - in Lunde Folkets Hus (Haus des Volkes) statt. Als Kino in den 70er Jahren wurde es jetzt eine Wiederbelebung erhalten!
Wir zeigen Filme, die selbst produziert wurden und nicht auf den großen schwedischen Filmfestivals waren. Wir haben auch eine Grenze für die Menge externer Bargeld, die die Produktion gewährt wurde. Damit soll sichergestellt werden, dass das Festival eine Plattform für True Independent Films und Filmemacher bleibt. Die Grundidee mit dem Festival und dem Programm, das wir zusammenstellen, ist die persönliche Stimme und der Ausdruck durch das Medium Film. Es gibt keine Sektionen für zeitgenössische Filme oder die Aufmerksamkeit auf bestimmte Themen oder Methoden — Film als Mittel, künstlerisch auszudrücken und zu porträtieren, bringt das Programm zusammen.
Daraufhin zeigen wir Filme mit allen möglichen Themen und Methoden. Strenge Fiktion mit klarer Story, wilde experimentelle Filmpoesie, stille anthropologische Dokumentationen. Komödien, Dramen und alles dazwischen. Einige sind unterhaltsam, andere nicht. Einige sind leicht zu verdauen, manche gar nicht.
Wir zahlen die Unterkunft für alle ausgewählten Filmemacher Donnerstag bis Sonntag, so dass alle Gäste sowohl die Festivalveranstaltung als auch ein paar Tage extra bekommen können. Dies ist etwas, was wir tun, um den Besuch des Festivals zu unterstützen und zu unterstützen und Teil unseres Ambientes, es zu einem wertvollen Erlebnis für teilnehmende Filmemacher zu machen.
Während unserer ersten vier Ausgaben freuen wir uns, das Festival als Qualitätsereignis für internationale Independent-Filme an der High Coast zu etablieren. 2018 haben wir eine Streamingsite für True Independent Films — Illambra gegründet. Alle Teilnehmer sind eingeladen, nicht nur mit dem Film auf dem Festival, sondern auch mit anderen, die auf die Website passen. Wir wollen dem Publikum die Möglichkeit bieten, am Festivalprogramm teilzunehmen — das ganze Jahr von überall auf der Welt, und Filmemachern ein Zuhause für ihre Werke zu bieten, wo sie in einem qualitativen Umfeld und Plattform präsentiert werden. Die Idee von Illambra ist es, im Laufe der Zeit einen soliden Videostore online zu bauen, der Autoren statt Titel für das Publikum folgen und sehen Werke von.

Das Kuratieren basiert auf unserem künstlerischen Urteil und wir werden nicht jeden Film zeigen - aber wir werden viele Gastgeber und wir werden nie für diesen Service in Rechnung stellen.

Feedback, Bewertung & Festivalüberlegung
Es ist frustrierend, abgelehnt zu werden und nicht zu wissen, warum. Es kann aber auch frustrierend sein, sich an einem Festival zu beteiligen und gezwungen sein, eine höhere Gebühr zu zahlen, da es Feedback enthält, an dem Sie nicht interessiert sind.
Wir arbeiten fleißig, mit Sorgfalt und Hingabe, wenn wir das Programm zusammenstellen und wenn es um Feedback für die Einreichungen geht, machen wir dasselbe. Aus diesem Grund teilen wir unsere Kategorien so auf, dass das Feedback von den Einreichungen getrennt ist und es sich nicht um eine kleine Notiz handelt.
Feedback wird von unserem Chefprogrammierer Andrija Jovanovic gegeben und ist eine umfassende Analyse und Überprüfung des Films und seiner verschiedenen Komponenten. Filmsprache, dramaturgische Handlung, Tempo, technische Aspekte der Sortierung, Komposition und Bearbeitung, Schauspiel usw. Es ist direkt, ehrlich und konstruktiv.

Wir haben keine strengen Regeln für den Inhalt des Films, aber die folgenden neigen dazu, für uns nicht gut zu passen:

- Musikvideos und Filme ausschließlich durch Soundtrack

Wir verbringen Monate lang sorgfältig beobachten und programmieren unsere Festivalauswahl. Wir präsentieren das bestmögliche Programm, das wir können, ist, worauf unser Festival aufgebaut ist. Die Einreichung an das Festival ist zu zahlen, um den Film berücksichtigen zu lassen und ist keine Garantie dafür, dass er ausgewählt wird. In March 2004 the 1st international short film festival for films by artists was held in Gstaad, Switzerland, with the ultimate prize being 'The Golden Cow of Gstaad'. For the organisers of Gstaad Film, the event was a great success: Many artists made use of the possibility to present their works at the festival & the quality of the program was high, attracting many films from Switzerland and entries from as far away as Argentina. The three days of the festival gave many possibilities for interesting contacts, not only for we the organisers, but also for a numerous and interested audience who were left excited, enthralled and enriched by the experience.
The positive reaction generated over the three-day period encouraged us to start organising a second festival. To improve the organisation and to give the participants/entrants more time, we decided to organise the festival in a two-year cycle, as a biennale.
