La IX edición de Zinetxiki Zinemaldia - Festival Internacional de Cine Infantil y Juvenil, organizada por la asociación cultural Begira Elkartea, tendrá lugar en Bilbao y en otras localidades del País Vasco del 14 al 29 de diciembre 2024.
Zinetxiki Zinemaldia tiene como principal objetivo acercar al público familiar contenidos audiovisuales de calidad a nivel internacional. Mediante la proyección de las obras seleccionadas en diversas categorías competitivas, el festival pretende potenciar la educación audiovisual y trabajar la creación de nuevas audiencias.
CATACUMBA UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL es un proyecto cultural, artesanal y resistente que desde el año 2000 se desarrolla en el municipio valenciano de Godella y que utiliza como elemento vertebrador la proyección de trabajos audiovisuales recientes que conviven durante la celebración de este peculiar festival.
En su XVII edición el festival pretende recoger propuestas cinematográficas independientes que ofrezcan una mirada alternativa creada a partir de la transversalidad que permite el lenguaje fílmico. Obras que de algún modo subviertan la moral, desarticulen las represiones, nuestras filias y fobias y que evidencien los defectos estructurales de la sociedad en la que habitamos. En los márgenes de la industria del entretenimiento encontraremos propuestas que pueden conducirnos hacia modelos de expresión diferentes que permiten devolver al cine narrativo la categoría expresiva que pretende invitar a la reflexión.
Entendemos que la producción cinematográfica está viviendo un proceso creativo que potencia la fusión entre géneros, avivando la originalidad y la diversidad del medio, nos adscribimos a todas estas posibilidades. Desde CATACUMBA queremos reflejar esta realidad creativa, dando cabida a un mayor número de obras, a veces inclasificables, pero que actúan como espejos reflectores de la extraña realidad que vivimos.
En formato cortometraje y largometraje tendréis la posibilidad de sentir todos los miedos, sueños, filias y fobias que nuestros directores pretenden transmitiros. Conoceréis géneros otrora denostados e infravalorados, pero que han contado con títulos transcendentales en la historia del cine y que se han convertido en auténticos referentes de la filmografía universal. Cine reflector de nuestra realidad social, cine que nos convence cada día más de que la realidad siempre superará a la ficción.
El New York Dog Film Festival es un festival itinerante que visita 14 o más ciudades anualmente con una colección de cortometrajes que celebran el notable vínculo entre los perros y su gente - y las organizaciones de rescate que los unen (que reciben una parte de los ingresos en cada ciudad). Las películas deben tener un tema canino.
Acogemos con agrado las inscripciones de películas de cualquier duración (preferiblemente de menos de 30 minutos), ya sean narrativas, animadas o documentales, siempre y cuando tengan un tema canino. Está bien para nosotros si la película ya ha sido vista en otros festivales o lugares de cine, ya que el objetivo del Festival es que los amantes de los perros tengan una experiencia compartida de tomar todas las películas como una experiencia comunitaria.

Bucharest Film Awards promotes short and feature films from around the world with 18 awards in 3 categories. Only films accepted in our Official Selection are eligible to screenings.
All submitted films will be reviewed by a jury of film professionals, that will look for creativity, talent, powerful ideas, quality and attention to details, regardless of the experience of those involved in the creation process and the budget of the submitted works.
The Film Competition will be a 3-day event that will include thematic workshops, live screening events, industry talks and networking cocktails.
In addition to the Film Competition, we created Spotlight with the aim of better promoting the best submitted projects. We will screen the best 10 films submitted in the first 6 months of the year.

El Festival Mix Brasil es un evento cultural anual centrado en películas relacionadas con la sexualidad en sus diversas formas de expresión.
En 2020, un público estimado de 176k personas asistieron a las proyecciones, actuaciones teatrales y musicales, conferencias y debates promovidos en la 28ª edición anual del festival.
Mix Brasil se celebra en noviembre en prestigiosos cines de São Paulo y aprovecha al máximo la diversidad de la ciudad para albergar una variedad de eventos innovadores. Después de São Paulo, Mix Brasil recorre programas a otras ciudades brasileñas.

Founded in 2000, The Valley Film Festival (VFF) is a non-profit project of Community Partners ® and is the first and longest continually running film festival in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley, headquartered in the NoHo Arts District.
Now in its 20th year, VFF supports local and international voices that advance storytelling, while furthering the education, production, and exhibition of film. El Festival de Cine Andaluz de Burguillos tiene como objetivo la difusión y promoción de cortometrajes que hayan sido rodados en Andalucía o dirigidos o producidos por andaluces, así como el apoyo cultural a la cinematografía y el impulso de la cultura en la localidad de Burguillos (Sevilla).
La 14° edición del Festival de Cine Estudiantil de Uruguay (FENACIES) abrió sus inscripciones el 1° de abril de 2024, y permanecerán abiertas hasta el 30 de mayo. Como cada año, todos los estudiantes del mundo (desde Primaria hasta Universidad) podrán inscribir sus cortometrajes de manera totalmente gratuita, que luego serán exhibidos en Montevideo del 9 al 15 de septiembre.
FENACIES es una organización sin fines de lucro fundada en el 2011 que comenzó con la iniciativa de crear un festival de cine específicamente para jóvenes, en donde la competencia sea justa y se valore la creatividad y el esfuerzo de ellos.
Desde un principio el Festival fue Declarado de Interés Educativo por el Consejo de Educación Primaria, de Interés Cultural por el Ministerio de Educación y Cultura, y de Interés Turístico por el Ministerio de Turismo y Deporte. Además, desde 2015 cuenta con el Auspicio Institucional de la UNESCO.
El principal objetivo del festival es fortalecer la educación audiovisual en los más jóvenes, y que a través de la realización de cortometrajes puedan expresar sus ideas para que luego se puedan ver reflejadas en la pantalla grande.
Durante la semana del festival se van exhibir los cortometrajes que queden seleccionados. El domingo 15 de setiembre se darán a conocer los ganadores en la ceremonia de clausura.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or the Global Goals for Sustainable Development, are a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. The Global Goals are broad and interdependent, yet each has a separate list of targets to achieve. Achieving all 169 targets would signal accomplishing all 17 goals. The Goals cover ecological, social and economic development issues including poverty, hunger, health, education, global warming, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice. Localizing Global Goals: Story Begins at Home
The Global Goals provide an indicative agenda for sustainable development that is required to stimulate a series of collective actions to address areas of critical importance for humanity and the habitat. The Global Goals are a large, holistic and long-term set of goals, difficult to distil into simple and compelling messages.
While these Goals are global, their achievement will critically depend on our interest, intention, ability and resources to turn the global social contract based on pressing development commitments into a tangible reality in our homes, communities, neighborhoods, cities, regions, countries and so on. Consequentially, our immediate localities are the primary sites of the compliance of our commitments towards a universal development agenda. Therefore, the story of global goals begins at home and connects to the extended contours of universality. It becomes everyone’s business, leaving no one behind.
Locating Creative Communications: Awareness, Relatability and Reach
APFF believes that contextualization of meta-data is as much important for effective communication as much as localization of global goals are important for any meaningful delivery of development dividends. Policy makers have argued that, “we will only deliver on the SDGs if people know about the goals, demand action, and hold their leaders to their promises.”
From the communication perspective, delivery of development outcomes would largely be determined by the level of awareness, relatability, reach and influence towards global goals. Therefore, creative communications should be aimed at increasing awareness, explaining relatability, enhancing outreach and influencing investments towards Global Goals at immediate locality and beyond. Global Goals are a universal agenda, requiring progress at home and abroad. Experts have suggested that, “our communication should lead to developing political will, involving people to act for themselves locally, and aiming for the goals to become a universal reference guide.”
APFF is seeking to engage creative community of Asian region including passionate storytellers, filmmakers, writers, directors, actors, artists, musicians, singers, social media champions, multi-media creators to develop a communication mix on Global Goals.
Why a Film Festival on Global Goals?
Experience has shown that “the exposure one can get through film and digital content, whether it’s at a film festival, a local cinema screening, through online distribution or educational channels, is magnified compared to many traditional ways we try to impact change.” Festival exposure and awards often bring press attention, which is considered the best amplifier of messages.
A number of studies suggest that “to inspire change, people need to ‘feel’ your story.” Data, research, statistics and trend indicators are important. Data supports and drives decisions every day in what we do. But as they say data alone typically doesn’t reach the part of our brains which can reach complex issues, intuit connections, engage lateral thinking, or move one to action: the emotional brain. ‘Story’ speaks to our emotional brain. Experts suggest: “We have to change the way we communicate. All action is emotional, and in order to get an emotional connection we need to understand what it is.”
APFF considers filmmaking and cinematography as an effective medium of communication to understand, inform, inspire and generate an individual and collective will to act for behavioral and perceptual transformations. Through a thematic cinema, a diverse and larger audiences can be engaged on issues related to SDGs making a complex message simpler, communicative and inspirational. With the extended outreach of digital content, filmmaking has become an effective tool of communication which can be used to strengthen rights-based social movements and development discourses infusing a culture of transformation in societies plagued with hierarchical structures, policies and instruments.
Against this backdrop, APFF dedicates its Third Edition to the Global Goals encouraging film makers to tell stories of their own soil – narrate local stories to the global audiences and bridge the communication gap. Tell others what story you feel for. Lens your own story! You have a space to inspire, now.
APFF is aimed to celebrate 3rd Edition by encouraging production and organizing public screening of the selected Asian short films, documentaries, animations and music videos narrating the stories of struggle and transformations on any of the seventeen Global Goals. However, a particular focus would be laid on subthemes related to: ecological, social and economic development issues including poverty, hunger, health, education, global warming, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice.

PriFest es el evento más grande e importante de la industria cinematográfica en Kosovo. Surgió como una necesidad de recuperar y construir la cultura cinematográfica que se perdió durante muchos años de represión y guerra. PriFest es una oportunidad para jóvenes cineastas de Kosovo, que debido al régimen de visados tienen una gran limitación para viajar libremente por Europa y otros lugares, para reunirse con cineastas y expertos de la región y de Europa que visitan el festival y aumentan sus posibilidades de conectar y coproducir sus películas.
El programa de cine PriFest ofrece al público cada año nuevas películas de Europa, los Balcanes y el mundo, además de programas especiales que promueven los derechos humanos, la tolerancia y la aceptación de los grupos marginados de la sociedad. Es el único festival de los Balcanes que tiene un programa especial de películas con el tema LGBTQ que se realiza en colaboración con Outfest en Los Ángeles y Queer and Migration Film Festival en Amsterdam. Además de las películas, el festival cuenta con una muy buena plataforma regional de desarrollo de la industria cinematográfica (PriForum) que ofrece formación, conferencias, clases magistrales inspiradoras de invitados distinguidos y otras oportunidades para que los cineastas de Kosovo y los países vecinos se beneficien. Es un gran evento de networking para cineastas de Kosovo, la región y Europa.
Prishtina Rendezvous trae distribuidores y empresas de ventas que se reúnen y exploran proyectos cinematográficos de la región de los Balcanes, mientras que Prishtina Kino Kabaret está dedicada a cineastas de todo el mundo para que vengan y hagan cortometrajes espontáneamente en Prishtina durante el festival.

Vanessa Redgrave (actriz británica), quien también es presidente de nuestro Consejo Honorario, Stephen Frears (director británico), Joshua Marston (director estadounidense), Franco Nero (actor italiano), Eva Orner (productor australiano), Gideon Burkhard (actor alemán), Samuel Maoz (director de Izraeli), Danis Tanovic (director bosnio), Velibor Topic (actor bosnio), Jasmila Zbanic (director bosnio), Mirjana Karanovic (actriz serbia) y otros invitados importantes.
Nos gusta pensar que PriFest es una verdadera herramienta de diplomacia cultural para que un nuevo país como Kosovo se presente al mundo de la mejor manera posible.
Por último, pero no menos importante, tenemos fiestas muy geniales de música electrónica con DJs internacionales y locales, gran música, grandes bares para pasar el rato, y lo más importante, gran comida y mucha bebida con precios muy asequibles. Kosovo y Prishtina es divertido de visitar porque el 65% de nuestra población tiene menos de 25 años!
