For its fifteenth edition, the Trevignano FilmFest is organising a short film competition for young filmmakers. A shortlist of four films will be screened between September 24th and September 27th 2026 in the beautiful Cinema Palma, along with a curated selection of international features.
The theme chosen for this year's festival is “To have and to have not: Cinema depicts a world of inequality”.
Built during World War II on the shores of Lake Bracciano, the Cinema Palma has been managed by four generations of the Palma family. As the home of the Trevignano FilmFest, the cinema has had the pleasure of hosting distinguished filmmakers from around the world, from Yngvild Sve Flikke (Ninjababy) to Stephane Brizé (At War, The Measure of a Man). We are excited to welcome our four finalists among our guests.
The four shortlisted participants will be hosted in Trevignano, with accommodation provided by the festival for the night of the screening. Each shortlisted candidate will also receive a plate marking their achievement.
Participating filmmakers assume full responsibility for the use of music, text, and any other elements included in their works. Finalists grant the Festival the right not only to screen their works but also to use them in its promotional materials.
Founded in 2015 thanks to the commitment of Mario Macaluso, who conceived, designed, and created it, the Cefalù Film Festival was born as an opportunity for encounter and dialogue with the art of cinema. The deadline to register for the XXV International Short Film Festival “El Pecado 2026” is open. This year prizes are: 1,500 euros for the winning fiction short film and 700 euros for the other four main prizes. The registration period goes from Monday May 4th, to Sunday June 7th of this year, both inclusive. The duration of the short films (maximum 2 by participant) will not exceed 20 minutes (21 including credits). If it has spoken sound, Spanish or subtitles in this language shall be used. Anyone from any region can submit films shot on a mobile phone/camera. Any duration can be submitted in the Open Door category. Selected films will be screened at Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival, and the best film will get DIMFF Best Film Award.
2.VERTICAL FILM CATEGORY for all
Anyone from any region can submit films shot vertically on a mobile phone/camera. The film must be within 10 minutes for the Vertical Film category. Selected films will be screened at Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival, and the best film will get DIMFF Best Vertical Film Award.
3.SHORT FILM CATEGORY for university students
This category is open to Undergraduate and Graduate students only. Selected films either shot on mobile phone/camera will screen at the festival, and the best film will receive the ‘CinemaScope Best Film’ award. The film must be within 25 minutes for the Short Film category.
4.CITIZEN JOURNALISM CATEGORY for all
Anyone from any region can participate in this category. Documentaries (real-world events) must be shot on a mobile phone and within 10 minutes. Selected documentaries will be screened at the Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival, and the best documentary will win the 'MSJ Best CJ' award.
5.ONE MINUTE CATEGORY for grade 1 to 12 students
Only 1 to 12 grade students can participate in this category. The film must be exactly one minute, including the title and credit line for the One Minute category. Selected films will be screened at Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival, and the best film will get the ULAB Young Film Maker Award.

The sixth Slemani International Film Festival will take place this October, bringing together renowned filmmakers from both national and international stages. This year's festival will feature seven competition sections, with a total of 19 awards to be presented. The festival's theme will focus on the Kurdish language and mother tongue, highlighting linguistic and cultural identity through cinema.
Eurasia Kinofest it's is a big film festival. Last year, 90 films from 25 countries were shown as part of the festival, and 400 guests from 30 countries came to the festival.

From innovation in the kitchen to the preservation of traditional food practices, COCINE is a space where filmmakers, chefs, farmers and food lovers can converge and share their passion for gastronomy. Here, we explore how planting clean and sustainable products can strengthen the traditional cuisines of towns and communities, and how gastronomic culture evolves and adapts in a constantly changing world.
