Horror / Westerns/ Sci-fi / Halloween are all welcome. Also comedy, romance, thrillers, SFX films. Also music videos (we call them jewels). MLC stands for Mobster (as in drama, thrillers, scifi, horror, crime) - Latinx - Comedy. While those are three basic pillars in what we like to judge in productions, we are open to and have many awards in other aspects--see submission categories and awards on mlcawards.com).

You are now looking at our Fall Window (4th year). Se more info on mlcawards.com and highlights on facebook.com/mlcawards. The format is evolving at the MLCs this season. We will have 2 windows this season: Fall and Rise. Fall window will have official selections communicated by the posted Notification Date. By the posted Event Date (around mid December) we will announce Nominees. Then on January 16 (at the Scene Awards Gala in Little Rock AR) we will announce Fall winners and wildcards. See Awards & Prizes section and how some Fall Nominees will be able to screen in Arkansas too.

We accept short / feature films or video entries of animated or non-animated productions, narrative fiction or non fiction, independently produced or in union status. You name it: shorts, features, pilot or series eps, music or creative videos and documentaries. We no longer have a Best COVID category, but those will be in the mix and consideration for other awards based on creativity, etc. NEW: This Fall window will also recognize Best Halloween Vibe Short & Feature (think scary, Charles 'Dickensy,' mysterious,...)...both under MAIN CAT 1.

Follow us on our Facebook portal for daily updates = www.facebook.com/mlcawards

Back to our current window, the MORE categories you think your film will fit in, the BIGGER the chances of selection, nomination or even award or a chance to have your film screened. We also do videos (creative, experimental... see Best Jewel submission category).

We also honor cast even beyond what the submission categories indicate. This means that if we like a supporting or day player actor, or a specific sound or color treatment aspect, we can nominate and award this actor.

We pick over 60 films among winners and wildcards per window.

January 1 through June 15, 2022 we will have our Rise Window. Winners will be known by the end of June before our 5th season starts on July 1, 2022. See Awards and Prizes for Gala & Screenings info.

We celebrate all genres, but most especially "M-L-C components" described in the Awards & Prizes section. MLC stands for Mobster - Latino - Comedy. We also love Midwest-Made productions (see our Midwest section) and anything loaded with VFX, great sound, animation, etc. We also welcome creative Youtube videos, promo videos, trailers of movies, etc.

Indy Film Fest was founded in 2004 to celebrate the art of cinema and to create a shared experience around film in Indianapolis. We are a non-profit, international, independent film festival programming both features and shorts. Our all-volunteer staff strives to bring the best films the industry has to offer to our community from home and abroad. Our programmers aim to foster new talent and help filmmakers connect with the global industry. We are also dedicated to educating and developing audiences for international and independent cinema in Indy, screening the kind of innovative, visionary work that may not normally achieve distribution in this area.

Indy Film Fest is looking for the best independent features and shorts no matter the category or genre including: live action, animated, drama, comedy, narrative, documentary, horror, sci-fi, and experimental. Our annual festival spanning over 10+ days typically programs around 25 features and 100 short films, with over 90% from submissions.

Always growing and adapting, the Indy Film Fest began as the three-day Indianapolis International Film Festival in 2004. We quickly expanded to our current 10-day format in 2006, moved our festivities to the summer in 2009, changed our name to the Indy Film Fest in 2014, and since 2018 have been back home in our original spring timeframe. Due to COVID-19 our 2020 and 2021 festivals were primarily virtual and our 2022 and 2023 festivals were hybrid 5-day in-person festivals followed by virtual availability and concluding with award-winner in-person screenings on the final weekend. That format is our goal for the 2024 festival and before selection decisions are made filmmakers will be informed of any changes to dates or format and given the opportunity to request their submission fee be applied to a future festival if those changes are not acceptable.

Alumni of the Indy Film Fest (and Indianapolis International Film Festival) are eligible for a reasonable number of free submissions. Films with significant ties to Indiana are eligible for drastically reduced submission fees. Examples of eligibility include the director or writer being a current Indiana resident or native, or the film being primarily shot within Indiana. Please contact submissions@indyfilmfest.org to see if you are eligible for either of these opportunities.

Promotional card of HARD:LINE International Film Festival

HARD:LINE International Film Festival aims to present the various faces of extreme cinema.

The question as to what is meant by the term “extreme” can be understood by looking at the content of our wide selection of fantastic films. “Extreme” is often defined by an explicit splatter aesthetic but it can also be represented by unusual story-telling methods or an exotic visual language. Thus, we are meticulously selecting such examples that could be important in the future of the genre. We have not set any boundaries in our search and whether a film is a pearl of the independent scene, fun splatter or no-brainer, H:LIFF loves special films!

HARD:LINE International Film Festival is no warehouse festival where the priority is to show as many films as possible but rather concentrates on presenting a few glowing examples of everything that extreme film can be.

The InFest Film Festival is a 2-day freak short film Festival which is held in Rubí, a city of asphalt, industry and smoke located in the Valles Occidental, a region located near Barcelona (Spain).

The InFest festival emerges as a firm and clear proposal: that Rubí be known as the Rubiwood of the Vallés district. During the last 8 years, InFest has organized the best possible short film experience: outdoors screenings, concerts, bar service and all kinds of activities related to cinema. What else can we ask for?

The InFest is devoted to showcase new short films (produced after year 2019) showing Sci-Fi, Fantastic, Freak and Horror elements. Short films cannot exceed 15 minutes length (credits excluded). Foreign films MUST be dubbed or subtitled in Spanish or Catalan, or the film will not be accepted.

In 2024, InFest will celebrate its 9th annual edition. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the InFest was moved to the amphitheater of The castle of Rubí ("El Castell"), a defensive construction from the 13th century, which can host public events with more than 2000 people. The amphitheater features seats, stage and bar! Jury Prize and Audience Award will receive 1000 and 250 euros, respectively.
