The Canadian Diversity Film Festival is the premiere festival to celebrate diversity in Toronto, Canada. Our event will take place in Downtown Toronto, on July 25th-26th, 2020.
The Canadian Diversity Film Festival is a hallmark event that celebrates our incredible diversity. Our aim is to bring diverse communities together to embrace our differences and discover our shared experiences. It is a focus through which filmmakers promote, challenge, and develop an understanding of equality, social justice, non-discrimination, diversity, and multiculturalism.
We accept all genres of films from all over the world. We create an opportunity for filmmakers to get their films judged and let them compete with other filmmakers. We perform a comprehensive evaluation process and select only high-quality films.
Breaking away from traditional norms, Frame by Sound presented by Vents Magazine offer patrons a unique and groundbreaking experience of its own kind. By taking it online, FxS reaches audiences around the world in an effort to bring a personal film and music festival in the comfort of their own home. Various ways to experience are via computer, mobile, ROKU/APPLE TV.
Film enthusiasts can get live backstage access and interviews and interact with panelists in special online Q&A sessions, workshops, panels featuring filmmakers, cast members and entertainment industry professionals. The Erie International Film Festival Call For Entries is now open to the US and International filmmakers, and we shall accept all genres of film including Narrative Features, Narrative Shorts, Animation Features and Shorts, Experimental Features and Shorts, and all forms of Horror, Suspense and Thriller films of Short and Feature length, all lengths of Comedies and Documentaries, along with Feature and Short lengths of GLBT and Religious/Spirituals films, along with Music Videos for the 2018 festival.
Our festival is seeking the best films that the world has to offer while working to give new and veteran Independent Filmmakers the attention they deserve.
As a 501c(3) non-profit, the Erie International Film Festival will accept submissions of films regardless if those films are of world premiere status at the time of submission, or if the film has been screened publicly or otherwise distributed anywhere at the time of submission.
Film enlightens the world, opens our eyes, and shows us things we do not see every day, and makes us feel things we do not always feel. Across countries, languages and classes, a film has the ability to provide us with a release, an escape, forgetting the real world and the cares of everyday life while expanding the imagination and opening the door to new possibilities.
Our festival introduces independent filmmakers the world over to Erie Pennsylvania, as our City embraces the arts and culture that the worldwide filmmaking community delivers with new stories, and new points of view.
The Erie International Film Festival celebrates new trends in digital media and recognizes Transmedia Filmmakers who employ an innovative, interactive, web-based or multi-platform approach to story creation. Through open submissions, selections will be presented to the public via state-of-the-art-technology.
Our Festival’s mission is to help filmmakers reach the broadest possible audience while allowing the general public to experience the power of cinema in the digital age while showcasing the City of Erie as not only an excellent tourist destination but as a filmmaking alternative of the East Coast.
In addition to our live Film Festival event that will take place in December 2018, our festival will expand its reach beyond the great City of Erie Pennsylvania, offering to both filmmakers who may not be able to attend our festival, and to independent film lovers around the world, the opportunity to take part in our festival through a unique virtual theater platform with our online festival, December 6 – December 15, 2018.
Much like with the digital technology that has swept independent film festivals throughout the world since the early 2000s, for many reasons the virtual theater is quickly becoming the first, best choice for festivals, and the new home of Independent film screening worldwide.
The virtual theater is the future of film festivals, as more and more festivals are now screening films online, and even the big festivals such as the Sundance Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival are moving to online screenings.
Our virtual theater allows the filmmaker’s work to be showcased to the world with the highest levels of security and presentation quality. Unlike any online screening system in the world, ours never allows films to be copied, downloaded, or reproduced in any way, nor can the HTML code of any film be copied and pasted into any other site successfully. No film launched in our virtual theater can play or even appear on any other website.
It was with much time and expense that this state-of-the-art and revolutionary online screening platform was developed, always keeping both the Filmmaker’s peace of mind.
Accepted films will be short, medium and feature length films produced in digital video; categories in documentary, fiction, experimental or animation; movies about mountain sports, adventure or expedition; films that contribute to knowledge and protection of the environment; films about mountain culture or outdoors lifestyle.
International Shorts is a year round film festival which screens selected movies at the end of each season (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter). Best of the Festival films will be screened at Business Factory in Castelldefels, Catalonia, Spain

IndieFlicks is the UK's monthly film festival, supporting the best up and coming filmmakers from around the world. IndieFlicks is continuously growing, hosting simultaneous screenings in Manchester, London and Sheffield. We also host a repeat screening the following week in Liverpool.
"They only pick the best films for their screenings so it's not only a great festival to enter, but a great film night to attend. I've enjoyed every film i've seen so far.”
Chris Cronin, Director.
How our monthly festival works…
Our Monthly Festival is a showcase of Short films from around the world, screening 50 minutes of short film in the first half, followed by our selected Feature Short in the second. We also host a Q&A with filmmakers able to attend and talks with local creatives.
At each event, two films will be selected to win either one of our awards:
The People’s Choice Award
The Directors Choice Award
Films included in the first half are nominated for our 'The People's Choice Award’; This is evidently voted for our audiences on the night and votes are calculated collectively from all of our venues.
In the second half of the night we host our 'Feature Short', one film no longer than 50 minutes. This is our headliner for the event. This film is awarded, ‘The Directors Choice Award’, one that our Judging panel felt deserves recognition.
"Not only is IndieFlicks a brilliant opportunity to network within the Manchester filmmaking community, it offers insight into short filmmaking approaches worldwide."
Martyn Ellis, Sound Engineer, Noise Four

AVANCA Film Festival was awarded first place in 2011 contest of the support film festivals sponsored by ICA / Ministry of Culture.
An additional thematic programming has happened over all these years, giving space to screening of significant works of contemporary cinema appropriately framed in concerns and / or well-defined objectives.
The AVANCA is known as a space for workshops led by personalities of world cinema, and being more than a "master class", has allowed a unique cinema practice. Every year we have workshops, bringing together participants from all over Europe. The media have written that this is the largest European area of professional workshops in the field of cinema.
AVANCA is the only festival that congregates a Cinema International Competition, works from the television area, video and new supports of multimedia, with a special concern of exhibit the best world productions done in each category.
Since the first edition, the festival only accepts unprecedented films in Portugal.
The World Premiere competition is unique in our country and was only possible because Avanca became a passage point of unpublished authors and movies with great quality. Films that have their world premiere in the festival, independently of the submitted category, are also participating in the World Premiere Competition.
AVANCA is the Portuguese festival with the highest percentage of worldwide unpublished movies that find here their first showing.
Since 2010, we have organized the international film conference AVANCA | CINEMA, becoming the most important conference in the field of cinema in the Iberian Peninsula. This conference brings together speakers and participants from around the world.
Thematic exhibitions, editions of books, bibliographic presentations and various projects have marked these last 10 years of AVANCA with the quality that compels the festival and the participants obviously require.
